Sirius followed the crowd to the Great Hall where he took his familiar seat at the table of Gryfindor. He poked James and whispered: "So.. have you found out more, you know, for our plan?" His dark hair fell before his eyes as looked at his friend with curiosity. They had talked about a plan to help their friend Remus with his little problem before the summer break but now it was the time to put things into practise.

"A little," he wispered back with a smile and a wink. He sat down next to him at the Gryfindor table.

Lupin searched for Sirius and James in Gryfindor Table as he entered. Upon finding them, he advanced towards them but not before trying to spy Selene among the crowds. He was to be disappointed and sat down rather roughly.

Cathrine smirked cheekily at Sirius as she passed him as she walked down the table, and ruffled his hair.
She perched a way away from him, and turned to talk to her neighbour.
Hungrily she turned to Dumbledor, and seemed to beseech him to start the sorting so she could fill her stomach.

Sirius followed Cat with his eyes until she was seated and then slowly tried to bring his hair back in its original state, with a somewhat haughty look in his eyes. The first years gathered in front of the High Table: the Sorting Ceromony had begun.

Severus sat down on the Slytherin table beneath a few of his friends, talking to them about the summer a little but kept more silent as usual; he had to think about Lily and what she had said. The hall slowly was only slowly getting quiet as the newcomers entered the hall and the sorting ceremony began.

Lily sighed. The tiredness she felt was overwhelming her and her stomach growled loudly as if it was asking not to be forgotten. The sorting had begun and again Lily marvelled at how young the newcomers looked. She gazed around the hall and finally met Severus' eyes. She smiled.

Emmy sat down at the Gryffindor table and waited as the Sorting Ceremony started. Her stomach growled noisily. Emmy sighed, she was hungry, having missed the food trolley on the train.

Sirius restlessly watched the line of first years get shorter. His eye fell on his friend Remus, who seemed to stare absent minded into nothingness. "What are you dreaming of?" he hissed and immediately he looked at the enchanted ceiling where a half moon was covered by some clouds. Something else was on his mind, Sirius concluded. But before he could ask James about it. the Hall fell silent as Dumbledore was about to start his speech.

[Sorry about not posting last week... I had a lot of school stuff going on... -.-]

As the sortting drew to end, food magicly appearded on the table.
Huge steaming piles of stew and vegetables, and fresh salads, rich gold coloured sauces, meat, fish on gold platteres with the Gryffindor emblem engraved stood there suddenly, delicious smells wafting down te tables and mingling in the hall.
Cat dug in, piling food onto her plate, and drinking deeply. She hadnt eaten much over the holidays, her father being the worst cook while her mother was away on busines.

Sirius watched all the food appear on the table and sighed. "Finally". He filled his plate with the most delicious kind of meat, potatoes and salad and started to eat at a rapid speed. When he was to fill his plate for the second time he mumbled: "I've missed this.. the House-Elfes definately surpassed themselves! "

"Yes," Lupin said as he absently cut a steak. "They always overdo themselves. And you two" gesturing James and Sirius with his fork that still had a piece of steak on it "don't make their lives any better. Always sneaking out into the kitchens to ask for more food. Poor house elves."

Severus looked over to the Gryffindor table and saw Lily looking at him. He smiled back. As Dumbledore finally finished his speech and the food appeared, Severus started putting fod on his plate, but kept slightly looking over to Lily.
