I agree it was like how they treated Theodon!

I agree, but as Telcontar said, there was not enough time to incorporate even more of what was not supposed to happen. And if they did as you said and cut down some of the extra scenes that were dragged out, then it would be even more inaccurate than it already was; a memorial for Haldir - a border GUARD - would be unrealistic, time consuming, and not contributing to the actual story. Did we not get so enraged at Peter Jackson for changing so much of the story? If we had a Haldir memorial, that would have been even worse. Trust me, it really would. Though I would have wanted his death to be more honorable, dragging him further on into the story would have been a bit much. I hated the way he died though. I would have preferred if Peter Jackson did not choose to have Haldir die on his knees. Ashwise wrote: I agree it was like how they treated Theodon!
If you had read the book, you would have realized that they did take Théoden's body back to Rohan and gave him a proper funeral.

I did read the book, and I do know how they honored Theoden. But in the movies? I dunno about Ashwise but that is what I meant.

Yeah they should have, but they didn't have a written part about it in the actual RotK book. But you know... Hama should have been the important character who died at Helm's Deep, not Haldir!

Yeah he did... that was pathetic. He should have fallen at the Hornburg battle.

Yeah, I agree that it would have made more sense if the humans all died instead of the Elves... and since that wouldn't work with the story, Peter Jackson shouldn't have brought them in at all! He made the Elves look like delicate porcelain dolls...

I don't like the term 'porcelin doll'. That seems to discribe the Elves in negative term, like they're fragile. Pft. Stupid. Elves are not fragile. Their hearts may be but they are generally stronger than humans.

I was watching the dvd on my computer just now and I was almost crying. the music dosn't help. and when he sees all his dead freinds/war buddies, I was so sad too. That was terrible.
