Meriana slid down into the water. she closed her eyes and sighed. silent tears hit the water. she lost a child. that thought kept beeming through her mind.
After Gold Dusk was done brushing her hair. she turned and looked at him. " could you go get the Old one for me now?" she asked softly hoping he wasnt thinking that she wanted to get rid of him.

Darren smiled. " good." he leaned over and kissed her soft cheek and then stood up and went over to the fire. he started making himself some oatmeal.

Gold Dusk nodded and got up to leave. On his way out he took the bloody sheets. He would wash them later, and if the stain didn't come out ... he'd burn them.

The old one annswered the door to find Gold Dusk standing there. "What can I do for you youg one?" She asked kindly.

"Meriana has asked me to come get you old one... We think she may have lost the baby..." He looked at his feet.

as soon as Gold Dusk left, Meriana washed her self off and got all the blood off of herself and then wraped herself in a robe. she went over to the bed planing on taking the bloody sheets out but then she relized that Gold Dusk had taken them out. she sighed she was gald he did that.
Meriana decided to sit on the bed and wait for the old one.

The old one quickly gathered her basket of hurbs and followed Gold Dusk back to the cabbin. She let herself in and shut the door firmly behind her.

Gold Dusk took the soiled sheets down to the rivver and started to wash them off. He talked to the spirits of Medow and Sky as he did asking them why it had happened. reguardless of what he looked like now he was still a centar.

The Old one set her basket down and pulled out a jar of powder. When she opened it the smell of Cocoa drifted through the room. She boiled some water and spooned some of the powder into a cup.
"Meriana dear? I'm makeing some Cocoa if you care to join me in the living room." She said knowing that if she haddn't heard her the smell would surely bring her out of hidding.

she wanted to burst out in tears but she felt really lightheaded and she passed out from the loss of blood.

The old one heard Meriana fall and gently lifted her from the floor. She carried her to the living room and set her an one of the large pillows. She then went and got a rag and wet it before gently dabbing at Meriana's face.

The Old one handed Meraiana a cup of herbal tea. "You fainted young one ... drink this it will help." She helped Meriana to sit up. "One you finish that you need to rest, you have been through quiet an ordeal if I'm not mistaken... I'm hear if you wish to talk."

Meriana took the tea and siped it. she thought on the things she wanted to ask the old one. " will i be able to bare children at all?" she asked tears once again filling her eyes. " will Gold Dusk still love me if i cant give him children?" she asked now really opening up to the old one. " will people look down on me?" she asked her voice cracking.

"As for anyone looking down on you, miscarrages are not uncommon in a Centar hurd... There is at least one during the foaling season, and we all band together to held, not to hurt." She took another sip of tea. "Why even Gold Dusks' own mother miscarried before she carried him and his twin Sun Fire." She smiled gently and admitted. "I don't speak so often ... but I miscarried once and blamed myself thinking I must have done something wrong, but it is mearly the way of nature and the spirits of Medow and sky..."

"I'm not sure young one ... I believe he is still outside. I'll go check for you." The Old one stifly got up and then went outside to look for Gold Dusk.

Gold Dusk was hanging up the last of the now clean sheets to dry in the sun when he saw the Old one step round the side of the house. "Meriana is asking for you." She said.
He quickly finished what he was doing and then headed into the house. "My love?" Gold Dusk said knealing on the cushon in front of her. "You needed me?" He asked the concern and love written plainly on his face.
