| I can relate! I downloaded GIMP and was instantly lost beyond recovery. Is there anything in particular you're confused about or are you pretty much clueless? I was _________________

					| Welcome to the club, Damson! I was lost when I downloaded GIMP, too. One tip I learned to use when making banners and such, make a new layer for everything. If you're putting in a new picture, a texture, even text, make a new transparent layer first, then put the new stuff into the graphic. That makes it a lot easier to manipulate individual items.

					| it's the whole layer thing that really confuses me. my old program didn't have layers. you could just cut out the part of the picture you wanted, do a little edge fading to blend, and that was it. _________________ Bob Seger 11/19;Celtic Thunder 9/29 Gettysburg 150th!!!

					| I just got GIMP a couple of weeks ago. I actually find it easier to use than PSP X (which I had been previously using.)
I'll join [revive] the club!

					| Have I joined this yet? It doesn't look like I have. Shaaame on me.
Anyway, I've been using GIMP for...a few months now. Maybe 6 or 7? I love experimenting with it.

					| And thus the club dies..
Anyone have any good tips or new things? I found out how to use maps and masks (kind of) which was exciting. I'm planning on writing up some tutorials for my website soon.

					| Nurrshey, I would love you forever if you did tutorials on how you make things look so awesome. as far as tips go, it's best not to ask me for tips... I'd just gleefully mess everyone up. but I have found an interesting podcast called Meet the Gimp . Tis definitely worth checking out. _________________Married Edmund Pevensie January 5th, 2008

					| I'm just curious. I have no idea if my tutorials make any sense to people not me. Do they? Or should I try rewording them? _________________going on a journey through my old claims

					| I use GIMP. I have been for quite some time. I really love it, because it is close enough to Photoshop and plus it's free. I was self-taught by use of tutorials. Anyways, most of my graphics (especially the newer ones) are all made from GIMP._________________ Visit my graphics site!
