Okay, maybe I'm remembering wrong then.
Anyway, what should we talk about? (Got to keep this club alive and well, lol.) Since anime and manga seem to be some of Japan's primary art forms, maybe we could say what are favorite stories in that genre are. Some of mine are Miyazaki's films, especially Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Just a topic suggestion.

I have to say, I've never seen a Miyazaki movie yet. *waits to get pelted with rotten veg*

I'm not much of a Manga reader either. Simply can't afford to and reading them online is hard work. So I stick with Anime.
My favourite is still Bleach, I even find the fillers enjoyable. Other than Bleach I love Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Hellsing, Death Note, Elfen Lied, Blood+, Berserk among others.

I havent seen any anime movies either...(unfortunately) though I've seen some at the video store..maybe I could rent some next time.

Yeah, Phoenix..Im not much of a manga reader either. :teehee: I've tried keeping up with it online..but I dont like doing online-reading. so I mainly stick with the anime too.

Ah I've seen Anime movies. Just not any by Miyazaki.
Akira is just an all-time classic, not just in Anime. I highly, highly recommend it.
The Cowboy Bebop movie is pretty good too.
Battle Angel Alita, Winds of Amnesia, Blood: The Last Vampire, Ninja Scroll, Ghost in the Shell as well.

I'm not really familiar with a lot of anime or manga, but one series i have watched some of is Pita Ten. (Have you heard of it? It's about a boy who finds out the girl next door is an apprentice angel...) I also like Avatar: the Last Airbender (kind of a "western anime," if such a thing exists...lol).

I haven't heard of it, but it sounds interesting. I'll need to look out for it.
I like Avatar, but discovered it too late and trying to find every episode online became difficult, so I sort of gave up on it. I will get back into it when I have less things to watch online.
I'd call it Anime inspired and influenced.

It's a fantastic futuristic Anime. It's animation is just so lush and gorgeous and the characters are all so flawed. It's a complicated plot, but the pay off at the end is just so worth it.

Thank you. That's Proxy's main character Re-l Mayer.
