Carmon was taken just a little aback by Vari's sudden talk of Redcoats and marooning crew members and commandeering ships, however she soon formed a plan and gave Will a quick look which Will instantly picked up. "I'm very sorry to hear that, Vari. I have an idea though. Since Will should be getting back to the shop why don't you come with me? I have an idea for your new ship and for where you can stay for a time... come with me." she took Vari's hand without any hesitation.
"Carm, do you really think..."
she cut Will off with a quick look and started to drag Vari out of the alley.

Nicolas Applegate, the brother of Carmon, sat on the porch of their house, or rather the house of their step-father, reading a book. It was an exceedingly nice and extravagant home although lacking in hominess and in the wealth and splendor of the Swann mansion. He sighed and flipped the page. There was just enough light from the candle beside him for him to read in the growing darkness.

As soon as Beckett's officer had said all he had come to say and had left quickly to make sure Keyara was shown to a cabin, Beckett redirected his gaze to the deck of his ship. He couldn't spot Keyara anywhere on the deck. Not being one to panic and knowing this was hardly a panicking situation Beckett calmly walked down the hill, which overlooked the water, that he had been standing on. He strode down the dock and admired all the ships smartly painted with their EITC flags waving gently in the breeze. To break his train of thought there suddenly came several "sir." and "m'lord." and soon an entourage of officers and admirals were upon him and filling the air around him with questions and comments about the voyage, the ships and the cargo. At the threshold of the plank leading to the deck of The Endeavour Beckett stopped, gave a quick reply to the officers and after they gave their curt bows and left, he turned and walked up the plank.

A faint blush spread over Elizabeth's cheeks, and she ducked her head to hide it. If only his gaze didn't feel as if it were piercing her soul, making her feel more guilt about her choice... Her heart twisted with pity for him and she knew she couldn't stand there another minute. "I - I have to go," she mumbled, turning back toward the staircase. "I'm sorry, James. I really am."

Will was about to give his farewell as Carmon pulled Vari out of sight. He was once again alone in the alley. It was just then when he realized how dark it was and he was long overdue. He went out the way Carmon and Vari had and scanned the streets. There was nothing there, just normal Port Royal at night.

(btw, Will, do you want to have Norrie and Will bump into each other like say the "next day"? or something? that would be such fun! til then I believe my Will is going to be retiring for the night... )

"oh, no where..." Carmon answered in a nonchalant way as she took the least housed streets and back ways to the Applegate home, which was a great house to be sure. "but there's no need to hide your face. It's dark out." Carms stopped at a lane going up to a grand old house that looked much akin to the Swann mansion (as it was the style of the time.) "ok, can you be very quiet? We're going to go in the back way."

(btw, I've made another update on Carmon and Cole's bios... I fixed a lot now )

Beckett didn't notice Keyara had returned to the deck. He simply took aside an officer and asked about her. When he got his reply he felt a little more comfortable about it and was pleased she had gone to a cabin. Not that she intimidated him, but you know... one can never be to sure whos ones enemies were when you were a highranking lord of the EITC and all. Now he could survey everything without any worries. He wondered how he should go about the arrest warrants for those on Port Royal and who he should put under arrest. Lord Beckett pondered over these things as he stood by the helm. However he was only there for a short time before he saw everything was in absolute perfect order and retired into his elegant and beautiful cabin. It had been set up just recently for this very voyage. And it had everything he needed... and then some.

James just looked at her. He smiled sadly and then turned his at her, walking for the door with steady paces, leaving Elizabeth alone with her thoughts. Outside he breathed in the evening air and he looked at the sky where the first stars appeared. John had fetched him his horse andhe mounted, graciously as ever, and rode off for his lieutenant.

((PD, that's a good idea! Shall we then skip to the next morning? Pintel and Ragetti are going to be executed later that day.. perhaps a nice idea to let Beckett arive soon afterwards?))

Alex sat at the docks, a bottle of rum in hand. She watched the ships being loaded and setting sail as she often did on a day when she had naught else to do. She elected to leave the docks as several men in navy apparel drew near. She was always wary of navymen, even when they were not in search of her.

Carmon brought Vari through the kitchen at the back, through halls and past many closed doors before she suddenly halted one certain closed door. She quickly motioned Vari to be silent as she listened for a minute. "we better take the back stairway." she whispered and took Vari's hand again as she scampered through another hallway and opened a door which directly opened onto a stairway. Carmon dragged Vari up the steep stairs, as she did she silently said. "I better fix you up before morning. Than I'll have to introduce you, but not as a pirate. That would never do." Carmon began thinking about how she would go about getting Vari presentable.

"hm, no, all the cabins on Lord Beckett's ships are of the highest quality." he stated proudly. "the lord would never make his officers or sailors stay in uncomfortable or stuffy cabins." The soldier put it bluntly and left her to attend to more important business.




I'm happy you like the idea! well, once you're done with Lizzie we can. and then Anie can too... unless Elizabeth has more to say to the Governor. and I'm not too sure what's happening to the plotline of Pintel and Ragetti. and Beckett... well, Aramel and I have a little more to do with that story before they get to Port Royal... but we'll just have to see. )

btw, does anyone mind if I bring in Lotty from the other RP (Time and Tide?) I'll have to change the date of her birth, but I think it would be fun to pull her into it with her past and all. thoughts anyone?
