Carmon looked around the room. "hmm, on the... floor?" she looked at the floor then gave Vari an odd, thoughtful look. She hadn't exactly given much thought to where she would put her guest for the night. "I'm afraid I can't think of anything better up here. But we can put blankets on the floor to make it better." she offered with a slight, hopeful smile.

Beckett mearly watched Keyara and studied her face and expressions until she ventured to say a word, "yes?" was his short, simple reply. He was beginning to realize she was harder than most to read, but that didn't deter him in the slightest. She wasn't as strong as him in the game of wits and cover-up, at least he was pretty sure she wasn't.

Out of the corner of her eye Lotty had been watching the woman drawing nearer, so when she appeared right by them it wasn't a surprise. Lotty welcomed the newcomer with a quick smile, "hello..." she looked from Sam to Edward to see if they knew each other and if Edward had been expecting Sam, "it's nice to see that we aren't the only ones here." her eyes remained on Edward to see what he would do.
(is that alright to have Lotty not know Sam?)

Emma continued down the seemingly endless streets until she stumbled across one of particular interest. Just as she was about to pass it by and continue down the one she was on, she noticed three figures by the docks. Quickly she began heading toward them.

(and lastly I'd like to quickly have a little bit with Cole  don't worry, all the plots will come together soon)
Cole had been waiting for what seemed to be hours now. He looked at the watch he kept in his pocket, correction, it had been hours. He got up from his sitting position and paced several times around the porch. Where was Edward? Cole gazed out as far as his eyes could see in the darkness. He saw several shapes moving and he noticed soldiers and a girl go into the Commodore’s home. This wasn't good. He figured the Commodore had gone to bed long ago and Edward would be safe coming to the Applegate house. Cole thought only for a few more moments before he jogged down the porch steps and made his way to where all the soldiers were gathered.

"Edward?" Sam cried out, surprised by finding here a long lost friend, but her voice was muffled when he embraced her. "God, ye've changed. I didn't recognise ye at all!" she rambled and she hugged Lotty. "Any friend of Edward is my friend too.." Then she turned to Edward again. "Vari? Why on earth are you lookin' for her? But aye, she's here in Port Royal." She covered her curls again with her hood and continued: "Bad times to wonder around here, in Port Royal.. Our Commodore is huntin' down more and more pirates." Her voice trailed off and she wondered how long it had been since she'd last seen Edward, since they sailed together. He looked good, better than she'd last seen him...

Norrington looked at Alex with a passive expression. "I don't bargain with your sort of people.." Norrington's eyes narrowed as he remembered Sparrow... and Turner. He snapped his fingers and another soldier entered. "Get some irons and bind her." the Commordore ordered "And get my horse." _________________

Alex shrugged. "Your loss." She thrust her elbows into the faces of the soldiers before turning for the door. Unfortunately, the soldiers had recovered and seized her wrists. She sighed as she was handcuffed. "Well, have it your way then," she muttered.

(( Sorry but don't you think that's a bit unrealistic? You're in the study of Commodore Norrington, which is obviously in the house of the Commodore. Then take two soldiers out and run for the door? I'm sorry but I know that the quality of Norrington's men is better than that, they aren't just punched in the face..But perhaps it's just me..))

(is it ok that we don't go any further with Carms' and Vari's story until the "morning", Ara? and that's fine... you can wait to bring Edward to Cole's house.  )
Beckett shot Keyara a quick side-long glance, but he said nothing in reply to the smart comment. Inwardly he was beginning to become more and more agitated by this girl and her comments. He thought of a comment to make back to her, but he withheld it and instead simply said, "and what does that mean?" he gave her a calm and collected but menacing look that could make even some of his finest men worry.

Lotty embraced Sam and listened intently to what she had to say, "you were right then, Edward, she is here. But if things are that bad than why would Vari come here? Did something happen to her? Edward, don't you have a friend here who could help us find her and get out of here before we're caught?" Lotty's soft brown eyes looked imploringly at him.

Emma was soon within hearing distance of the three people on the dock. As she drew even closer she slowed her pace and tried her best to sneak up on them, just to be sure they were who she thought they were. After hiding behind a barrel for a few minutes she found she could distinguish several of their voices. Good, they were who she had been looking for. She popped out from behind the barrel and appeared behind them, "hello." came her slight whisper.
(Will, are we going to have Sam and Emma know each other or not? )
(actually we were playing that they were at the Commodore's house, Millie. And I think it would be best if you change.... because I have to say I agree with Will on this.  and anyway I was gonna bring Cole into the scene too... maybe he can say a good word for your character and get on Norrie's good side or something.... either way I don't mean to judge or be rude, but I do agree with Will.)

"What for heaven's sake could that rich kid, Nicholas tell ye?" Sam exclaimed. "Do ye know that he is on friendly terms with no one less than the Commodore?" Sam looked with wide eyes at Edward. She didn't know the guy personally, but she'd heard about the wealthy family. No doubt they couldn't be trusted. "Come" she nodded to Lotty "I know a place to make camp for the night and then we-" She froze in the middle of her sentence as she heard the soft whisper. She pulled her gun from her pocket but when the figure stepped into the moonlight she distinguished the features of another familiar person.
Sam swore under her breath. "Em, darlin', ye scared the hell out of me."

Beckett had had just about as much as he could take from this ignorant, sardonic girl. "I suppose you wouldn't understand the importance of these... toys, as you call them." Beckett gave her a smooth and haughty look, "and I wouldn't expect you to." Before any more could be said, however, a servant came in. "ahem, Lord Beckett, sir, your tea as ordered."

"Yes, your friend Cole." Lotty looked thoughtful for a moment. She had met him on occasion while she had been there, but there meetings were always cut short and she mostly knew him as Edward's friend. He seemed nice and down to earth enough though. She jumped out of her thoughts at the commotion Edward and Sam suddenly stirred up.

"what a welcome." Emma slid into their presence and gave them all a wicked smile. She was obviously pleased with the scare she had caused. "there's no need to get your sword... and I doubt you could hold me off even if you did." she gave Edward a look full of mischief before she turned to Sam. "it's been too long, Sam." she gave the girl a quick embrace.

Cole bounded past the soldiers quickly telling them who he was and, in the sad case they still wouldn't move, he forced them out of the way. He pushed open the door to the Commodore's house.

Hearing this, Keyara pursed her lips dissaprovingly. "Perhaps not, my lord, but I'm not a commander or army general. Such matters do not concern me. And even if I had the chance to lead something as precious as the East India Trading Company, I wouldn't do it. Why bother with bumbling idiots when you yourself can accomplish the task quicker and more efficiently?" Now pleased that she had spoken her mind, Keyara leaned back in the chair and gratefully accepted one of the cups of tea.

"Idiots!" Norrington snapped at the two soldiers and he rushed out his study to face a more pleasing scene: John, his not so talkative butler, dragged the girl by her arm back to his study. One of the soldiers quicky forced her arm behind her back and clapped the irons around her wrists.
"John.." James smiled at his butler. "I should convince you to take service. You would be a lot better than these two." And with these words he shot a glare at his men.
"Thank you Sir. I took a few self-defence lessons when I arrived here." John answered stiffly with his typical British accent.
"Take the night off." Norrington nodded "I'll be out. I have to arrange some things at the fort.." At the same moment another soldier hurried into the hallway. "Sir, the horses are prepared." The Commodore thanked the man and addressed his soldiers: "We'll take her with us.. come on.."
(Perhaps Cole can come in here?)

"Emma" Sam said after she'd embraced her friend. "meet Edward. He's a really good friend of mine, we sailed together some time ago. And this is his companion Lotty." Then she turned back to Edward and laughed. "Have it yer way then. I know I can't convince ye.. I never could. But I don't trust anyone too quickly, I've learnt it the hard way."
Now she scolded at herself. Why did she let that slip? She didn't feel like talking about what happened the past few years after she left them. She made a lot of mistakes, yes and sometimes she wondered whether it hadn't been wiser just to stick together then.. Stop she told herself and she shook her head to drive away all these thoughts.
"We shouldn't stay here" Sam said to change subject. "I think we could catch the attention with our little pirate meet- up." _________________
