Ok, I'm glad to hear that! :P Anyway, as I must have told Taur (or maybe it was you ) it's not like he was an emo-ish whatever for long. ;) He turned into normal Pete again. That reminds me, I really need to see Spidey 1 someday soon... maybe if I get it for Christmas... Oh, I bet Tobey did too! I think I would with getting to dance down the sidewalk and everything like he did! :teehee:

hmm, I guess. I always find the way he proposed to Elizabeth to be funny in a sad way if you get what I mean.... like he wanted to say how he felt but he was to tongue tied to do it or something. Kind of cute, I guess. :P

I didn't really notice it too much at the time... but now that you mention it... I might be able to see some sort of parallel there.

Good point. That there shows how strong Peter's character is - he fights back and doesn't give in to the temptation of power. Oh, I hope you do! Now that I've seen the second and third movies I like them better than Spidey 1, but Spidey 1 is still an amazing movie. :D Since I don't think I'd do something like that in real life, it'd be fun to get to play a character that did. :teehee:

Yeah, I agree with you - funny in a sort of sad way. Like you could tell he hadn't had much experience with that sort of thing, but he was at least sincere about it. It was kind of cute... :)

I saw it especially when Peter was destroying Venom and he yanked Eddie out of it...then Eddie was like "NOOOO!" and jumped back in. If I hadn't been in the moment I'm sure I would've screamed "PRECIOUS!" in a Gollum-voice. :P

Yes, PD, I think "fate intervened" once again. :duh: :P

good old strong Pete! anyway, what kind of superhero would he be if he crumpled and let it take him over? Not any kind little boys would want to look up to, that's for sure. I will most certainly have to! you can count on it! :) no, I can't see myself (or you!) doing anything quite like that! lol but it would be fun to play someone who did! (that's the beauty of acting, aye?)

exactly! Our sweet, little Norrie! and it's cute to think of him being such a commanding officer and in such a great rank and yet he's there struggling for words. :P how sweet!

oh, ok... yeah, if I had been thinking I probably would've caught it in that scene especially. :P

*sigh* unfortunately, I think it's so. :erm:

That's definitely true. And in a way it's sort of like the Ring, like I said earlier: a good metaphor for any sort of temptation or addiction that we have to conquer. Yeah, I'd love to play an evil character in a school play or something, too bad I'm too timid to be in drama. :P

Exactly! That's a nice way of putting it. I much prefer the guys who stumble over their words when they try to talk to you over the "ladies man" who knows exactly what he's doing. Those "shy guys" will end up the better, more mature guys for it.

Or maybe I'm just too obsessed with LOTR since I can work it into everything I see or read.

Anie, yup, it is! You're right... I can see a lot of similarities between Spidey 3 and LotR and even P3... and you're right about it being a good metaphor and all that. PotC, chocolate and ice cream are my Ring, what's yours? :teehee: ;) aww, don't feel bad. I don't think I'd make much of an actor myself... too timid (like you) to do it, I suppose. :P but still what fun it would be!

awww, well, thank you. hmmm, I think I do too. There's just something more real about the more timid guys over the "ladies men". something's more likable about them. And you might be right about that... ;) gee, now I'm getting a mental image of Jack vs. Will and Norrie with the whole "ladies man" vs. "shy guys". :teehee:

that could be it too. ;) I've noticed that same thing especially with Pirates. :duh: I can work that into EVERYTHING in some way or another... it doesn't matter what the thing is!

Lar, my, ditto what Anie said. Thet's very bold of you... just be careful when you go poking about someone like Fate. ;)

Hello family!! :bye2: :)

*Cough* Er, I feel rather weird just cutting in like this... but I've been wanting to come here for a while now, so this seems as good a time as any. :-D

For a while I've been wanting to get to know the people on A-U better. And I was "talking" to PD (my wonderful "mother" ;)) and she said I should come here. And she's right! What better place to start then within my own family?!? ;) :)

Sooo, here I am... :teehee: *Looks over last 3 pages* Hmmm...Sorry. Could someone please explain what these weddings are? I'm kinda slow...
And I see now why you are the self proclaimed "Pirates obsessed" family. :) The 4th should be a very interesting day!;)

Gosh, well, I've pretty much got nothin' else to say. But I do intend to post more here, and not just read other's posts (as I'v been doing for the past 6 months :) ) and hopfully get to know everyone better (you all seem like really nice people ). Ye be warned! :pirate: ;)

That's all... :bye:

"Now that's what you call ironic." LOTR is my Ring, actually, or Tolkien in general. And chocolate. :P Thank you! :) I probably do better if it's something I really want to do...since I'm making a POTC parody with a few friends of mine I'll have to learn to act well with just my voice...

You're welcome! :) Yeah, it's because they're at your level - they don't know what they're doing either. :P It's somewhat disconcerting, personally, if someone lords it over me that they know what they're doing if I don't. :erm: Aww, you're so right! And you notice that Will got his girl, and Norrie would've probably ended up with somebody...whereas Jack has no "one" girl. ;)

Yeah, I know what you mean. But that's good, it means we're creative! :teehee:

Hello there, cousin! I belive you're my cousin anyway...brain not working at the moment... :P Welcome to the family!

Well, weddings on A-U are kind of like real weddings except they're obviously not legally binding in real life, they're just for fun. Usually there's one person (maybe a mod) who's the priest and makes sure it all goes smoothly. The person or persons in question getting married just have to show up and role-play through the wedding (since I'm marrying Ragetti I'd be RPing for two people). Make sense? :)
Aye! We be no landlubbers! :pirate: Hoist the colors and the sails, prepare to cast off! Come the day of the 4th we'll bring in rum to celebrate! :P

Aww, well, thanks! :) You seem very nice yourself, I'm looking forward to getting to know you. Granted, we can sometimes be a tad...insane...but if that doesn't bother you feel free to join in. :P

*bounces up and greets her "daughter"* 'ello, welcome TT! :-D

TT, No, no don't feel weird about just butting right in! We were just off in our own world anyway and we probably needed someone to bring us back to reality. lol I'm just glad you decided to pop by and say hi! :teehee: I always am right when it comes to these things. ;) (just kidding!) anyway, aye, you've got that right... what better place is there to start?
and Anie basically explained what the AU weddings are like so you're covered there... as for the 4th... I have no promises to make on matter... it may be a wild day here on AU. :teehee: :pirate:
I'm looking forward to seeing more posts from you TT! See you around! (aye, everyone here is super nice... you'll fit in just fine!)

Anie, there's that quote again. ;) hmmm, I think I could've guessed that. ;) Chocolate is at the root of everything, isn't it? hehe
that's very true.... and I'm actually already fairly good at acting well with my voice (don't ask... it's the same type of thing you're doing. ;) :P) and when my brother and cousins and I were younger we use to play out our own LotR stories ALL the time... so I guess I'm ok when it's in private and it's something I like. (like you said ;))

awww, you're so right there! you hit the nail on the head all the way! Good point about Norrie and Will getting girls.... although I'm not sure Jack would've really wanted a girl to have forever. ;)

Huzzah for creativity!

you know you guys... for some reason today I have no gumption and my brain is dead... :erm: so sorry if my posts sound different...

*Crawls out of hidding spot* Has everyone sailed away with the rum?:P lol, it wasn't wild at all! ;) ...Except, I'm an orphan now. :( :P
Thanks for explaining the wedding, Anie. Sounds like fun.. :) When's your big day? :)

Oh, do you guys act? :) I'm looking for some actors at the moment... There doesn't seem to be any around here...

woah! Did I miss the wedding? And what wedding? Could I have a reader's digest version of what's happened recently?

TT, awww, there was no need to hide, dear! and don't worry, I'm still here! I haven't died yet (well, I have... but I've come back in ghostly form with my sweet Becky ;)) so you aren't an orphan yet (to your great regret, right?). :P anyway, no it didn't get very wild here, but just check out the WT thread or some of the clubs ect... :teehee:

well, sooorrrtaaaa.... not really like in plays or anything (at least me)... mostly just for fun with my cousins (and that was several years ago) ;) why are you looking for actors, TT? I'm sure Anie and I might be able to help out a little... right, Anie? :)

Evenstar, well, no, nothing really happened at all. we planned yet another double wedding (for Larael to Snape and Anie to Ragetti), but it fell through... there's not much else to explain.... we've been trying to make it happen but it’s always “a marriage interrupted or fate intervenes” :P is that a good rundown?

Oh, he's my father, is he? I was wondering.. :) And, no! I'm very happy! I do not like being alone. :lost: :P
So, did anyone buy it? (aas if I didn't know the answer... :teehee:)
WT? I'm still not excatly sure what that is... :duh:

Oh, for the past couple of years myself, my sisters, my 3 cousins, and a 5 other girls have been making elaberate home movies. The biggest ones being the lotr trilogy and the hobbit. (figures, huh? :teehee:) And this Summer my sisters, cousins, and I plan on doing another one... But most of our actors have deserted us... :( And those who are left... well, they're the lesser talented of the lot. So yeah. I'm just waiting for someone to pop up! ;)

But, anyways, what did you do with your cousins? :)

aye, he is... I thought you knew that, TT. :) That's good to hear... because after all we are your "parents" so you're stuck with us ;)
do you really need to ask? ah, since you did I'll say "aye, I bought it the day it came out"... :teehee:

Don't sweat it! Until less than a month ago I had no idea what it was either! :P It's the Welcome Team... they're in the Off Topic section.

That sounds like lots of fun! :-D well, I dunno how we can help... but if there's a way just give a shout!

well, my cousins, brother and I used to go out in our weeds and the woods boardering them and we used to play Lord of the Rings. :P I almost always was Legolas or sometimes Aragorn. :teehee: and then the airplanes would be Ringwraiths and you know... we would just have a good time using our imaginations and a few stout sticks for swords. :P

ahh, thank you Calloniel!! Very nice run down actually! Poor Lar and Anie!! I think it's just a marriage interrupted...it can't be fate intervening...I mean, they make good couples!

you know you guys... for some reason today I have no gumption and my brain is dead... :erm: so sorry if my posts sound different...

Aye! 'Tis such a handy quote for all purposes! :D Aye again! Except perhaps problems, chocolate is innocent of causing problems. :P Really? Awesome! (Ooh, have fun!) Yeah, I get stage fright in front of ANY camera so voice acting is probably the way to go for me. :teehee:

Thanks! Good point...that's kind of why I wasn't sure how to end that sentence. I think Jack's fine with having any girl he wants. ;)

Aye aye! :pirate:

Aww, it's okay, PD! We all have our off-days... (You should've seen me on Tuesday morning. I was supposed to write a newspaper article about someone's death and I was so out of it I just wrote "He's dead, that's sad. ='( I was so far gone. :teehee:)

evenstar of mirkwood, thanks for your sympathy! I'm not sure how I'm related to you, but anyway...I appreciate it. :) Though Lar's the lucky one, she's only trying to have a "proper" wedding since she eloped with Snape a long time ago. But me..."I just thought I'd be married by now. I'm so ready to be married." :teehee: couldn't resist!
