Weather all the bios are up or not, we're starting. If you don't have your bio up, you can do so before or after you post, it really doesn't matter, so long as you get it up. And then maybe instead of planning whose goes with whose, it's just random and we find out while we rp... I think that would be interesting...

Starting:

Arruina stood amung a clearing filled with roses in the middle of a forest. In her hand she held a single blooming rose, and watched as she put her magic into it and it turned silver, or at least the bloom did. The silver bud reminded her of her mother whose name was Celevon Merlin, or Silver Rose. In her other hand she held her bow, and to her right were the ruins of a tower that was her old home.

Arruina let the rose fall to the ground, as she walked off into the forest. Every day she'd leave a silver rose there where her family died because of the demons. The huntress made her way down an old and over grown gravel road that led through the forest, when something caught her eye. Bending down she picked up a stone, and brushed it off. It was no stone, but a crystal. It looked like a clear diamond about the size of her palm, with a course edge like it was broken in half, while the rest of smooth.

Slowly she stood up.
"Could it be?" she breathed, and set off at a run. There was only one person she knew that would know for sure weather the crystal was what she thought it was or not.

Arruina was so caught up in her thoughts, that when she turned a bend, she ran smack into something, or someone. She fell back onto her but, but she quickly recovered and stood up. Arruina looked up to the person she had ran into, saying sorry many times...

(person can be anybody that doesn't mind be run into... lol! And... in the forest, people are not so suspicious of other people...)

Vertha vaulted the battlements and landed softly on the wall. She was pretty sure this was the right place. It was a rather grim and depressing fortress that used to be a source of pride and honour for humans. Now just a sad reminder of the outworlders forces' strength. Still she didn't waste any time. She allowed Jorisle to emerge from her dress sleeve. The serpent stuck out her tongue, smelling the air around them. Soon Vertha got a taste of her companion was smelling and quickly wrinkled her nose. Two minotaurs guarding the main entrance door to the tower, a handful of goblins patrolling the walls. Didn't the outworlders have a sense of hygiene, she thought as she jumped from the wall and onto the tower.

Her target was located on the highest floor possible, an area she remembered usually reserved for the king. Thus, she had to make the arduous climb up the tower, trying to evade goblin eyes as she did. After several minutes, she finally reached the window..except there was no way she could open it. There was only one way. She cocked her pistol, adjusted herself into position, and swung her legs into the window, crashing it and allowing her entire body to fly inside. Just as the demon commander inside woke up from his hiberation, Vertha shot him twice in the head. She was pretty sure the two minotaur guards outside this room heard the shots but definitely the shattering of the glass. She moved quickly. She found a rather large cabinet and threw it in front of the two double doors where the minotaurs were bashing their way in. As she did, a drawer popped open and revealed a crystal. Curious, she picked it up. It was about the size of her fist with one half edgy and coarse but the other half smooth as water. It was like this was broken off from something. The loud bellows from the minotaurs alerted Vertha to her surroundings. She quickly put the the diamond in to her pouch and began strapping on a harness one of the vampire craftsmen assembled. It was very much like a bird's wings but rather flight, it was simply used to land gently on the ground. Vampires could survive jumps from heights but Vertha needed to to jump outside the walls, something she couldn't do without the harness.

After making sure the harness was on securely, she stood five feet away from the window and whispered to Jorisle, whose head stuck outside her sleeve, "Don't worry, we'll be out of her soon." She took a minute to prepare herself then ran out the window, opening up the artificial paper wings. Below her, a small army of goblins and skeletons began to assemble. She thought of herself relatively safe until she heard the tiny booms of mini cannons. If any of those tiny shells managed to hit the wings, she would go down like a lead balloon. And one of them did. Actually five of them. They narrowly missed her but left five tiny holes in her left wing. Fortunately she was over the fortress wall when they hit but she couldn't direct her flight anymore. She merely braced herself for the inevitable landing.

When she finally landed, she stripped off the harness. She knew that Rasian, the designer of that harness, wasn't going to be pleased but she hoped the crystal might balance things out. Quickly she ran from the fortress as fast as she could as she knew that the centaurs will be after her soon. In her rush, she collided into something or someone, sending both of them on the ground. She stood up and said, "Oh I'm sorry"

(haha... that's kind of interesting how the two vampires are the first introduced... (though... really, one vampire, and one half-vampire))

When the woman spoke her sorry, Arruina caught the pointed teeth. She smiled slightly, but the smile faded when she heard the screech of a demon coming from behind the vampire, and also the clop of hooves coming up fast.
"Now that sorries are over, if seems our lives are on the line..." she said, with a grim smile...

"Yeah, that'll be my fault, sorry," Vertha said. She didn't know how long it would take for them to catch with them, not that she wanted to know. She quickly ran off, though making sure the woman she ran into was up and running as well. She would hate to leave someone at the mercy of an angry mob of demons and centaurs.

Paloc crept through the woods, hardly making a sound. There would be time for speed later- right now silence was his best ally. He had wandered much closer to a demon fortress than he had intended to last night, lost in a thick fog. Now he was hoping he could get away from sentries and scouts without raising an alarm.

Suddenly, a clamor started up from the fortress. Paloc winced. Had they seen him? He didn't think he was visible through forest. Still, he broke into a run, weaving between trees and dodging limbs.

After a few minutes, he could hear sounds of others running ahead of him. He frowned. Had some of the demons circled around already. Drawing his pistols, Paloc kept running- there wasn't much else he could do. Soon, he could see two women running in front of him.

"Hey!" He said, quickening his pace to catch up with them. "What's happening back there, do you know?" He asked, still running.

Arruina followed after the vampiress, and glanced over her shoulder to see a man following them.
"I'd tell you if I knew," Arruina called over her shoulder. Then looking around stopped and turned to the left into a thicket of Oak trees.
"This way. The trees are close so the centaurs won't be able to fit, and are enchanted so they cannot be cut or burned. Smaller demons can be taken care of," she said, and started running again...

"Put it this way," Vertha cried as she followed the woman. "You really don't want to know." Once she reached the safety of the forest, she turned to the woman who obviously knew what to do and asked, "Now what?"
