<center> GRAPHIC AWARDS: NOMINATIONS
Welcome to the First Unoffical AU Graphic Awards. These awards are in two distinct catergories: graphic makers and contests. The graphic maker awards refer to the graphic maker while the contest awards refer either to the contest or the contest host.</center>
Process:
- Nominations :: PMed to me (one person per catergory) and will end on January 12th, 2008 at midnight EST.
- Nominees :: Depending on catergory, I will PM for examples of your artwork or contests.
- Voting :: by usual contest voting method, will try to go up fairly quickly after nomination complete.
- Awards :: will be in a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd format

(Graphic Maker with the most unique style of graphics)
-Most Dependable
(Graphic maker who keeps to contest deadlines and hands out requests in a timely matter)
-Most Involved
(Graphic Maker who continually takes part in the graphics and contests sections of this forum: includes requests, claims, contest, etc.)
Contests:
-Most Dependable Contest Host
(Starts and Ends Contests on time, keeps track well, etc.)
-Best Long-Run Contest
(Your favorite contest that has run over 10 rounds.)
-Best Short-Run Contest
(Your favorite contest that has run for under 10 rounds)
-Most Involved Contest Host
(Will take over someone's contest if asked, volunteers, etc.)

I believe there are 8 people now.. ugh, I am losing count!
But, there are a lot of partials. I am not forcing people to finish them all, but I do not have enough of some awards to make a genuine poll.

I NEED at least three (for first, second, and third), but I would prefer at least four.

Some categories won't be able to have at least 3. Since there are only two real known long-running contests over #15 rounds.

Maybe moving the # down to 10 will open more up.

I, personally, do not see a problem with that because it is based off of contest, not contest host.

The award will be addressed to the contest, and probably have a little "run by" on it, and given to the contest host.
It is a little way of saying that the contest is indeed enjoyable and people appreciate it. Which, I believe, is needed because many times school gets in the way, and it is easy to just stop running a contest.

And, if we move it to 10, there will be 5 in the catergory instead of 3.

The song one? The Song Themed series? That's not valid seeing as though we're only to round... 14? That's not above 15. I mean.... my math might be rusty but I'm -pretty- sure 14 isn't greater than 15 and therefore it wouldn't be eligible?
If you're just letting it slide then, I understand. And really it should matter because the award should be based on the integrity and reputation of the contest not the contest host.

You are on the voting portion of 14, so it is basically 15. The other thing I was saying is, including the STC, there are only 3 contests that would be eligible for the long-run award. I am wondering if we should have the number go from 15 to 10 so that 5 contests would be eligible. (If I counted right.)

Well, that wouldn't hurt, if we move it down to 10 rounds, then it would still leave a number of other contest series eligible for short-run.
