*Sen packed up and mounted Flarenath, not wanting to interfere with Deawen's arguement. Something was wrong with Morwen, he could see that, yet he would rather see how things played out than have MOrwen's uncharacteristic animosity turned against him. As they reached the road, he whispered down to Flarenath, and his ears pricked up. They must be cautious; an ambush could be waiting for them. Yet as the outpost grew closer, Sen began to relax slightly, and spoke with one of his fellow travellers.*
Imlosiel, Anira, where do you both hail from? I hope not from a place as cold as this.

Eston stayed in the rear of the company he rode in silence though listened to the thin thread of conversation with intrest.
Deawen rode in complete silence still brooding, Bredol gave no protest to her silence though he would prefer a kind word or two from her.

Morwen turned her back and strode back to Camria. She had already packed most of her belongings, so it was a bit of a struggle to find her own green cloak emblazoned with the new symbol of the realm, Eomer's horse banner. She slung it over her fur cloak and clasped the sun brooch. She swung into the saddle and clasped her spear. She had the sudden urge to sob. She felt sorry for blowing up, but she was still angry. Her internal conflict resulted in a taciturn silence.

Riding under what seemed like a cloud of tension and anger, the company plodded along. Imlosiel took a moment to realize that Sen had spoken to her, and she answered, keeping her voice down so as not to disturb the others "Unfortunately I do hail from a place just as frigid as this, " she said with a slight smile, "Where I was born I do not know, but I was raised in the Wilderland, a ways north from Gondor."
After a few moments had passed she turned again and asked "And where do you call home?"

*Sen smiled slightly, though not in humor. He looked off to the north east as he spoke.*
Sadly, from a place that no longer exists. The Storm and I are all that is left from where we come from; the city of Athenar. It was destroyed when I was young, and we have wandered Middle Earth ever since. At least, until I met Deawen. She changed that, though we all still bear a longing to see our city restored. It lies in that direction.
*Sen pointed towards the north east, as if he knew the exact direction of Athenar.*
We never forget where our once proud city stood.

Anira rode in silence with the company, slightly perturbed by the tension hovering over them like an unwanted traveling companion. "I hail from the White City," Anira replied in her turn. "Though I have traveled across different lands, I have seldom come across a winter as bitter as this," she replied.

Deawen turned in her saddle, " I don't hail from his city" she pointed out, her voice was monotone but not annoyed, as if she was talking from far away. " I don't share his longing to see that city again as I have only been to the ruins once but shared no connection with the place"
she explained. TIme wore on and Deawen spoke little the clouds were rapidly darknening, she picked up the pace as the slope grew steeper.
Glimpses of tall structures darted in an out of view. Deawen slakened the pace so not to seem worried.
The outpost was not just a few buildings but an small town. The buildings were of stone in the fashion of Gondor but extreamly well kept. a high wall surrounded the town it was more of a fortress than anything. One building rose slightly above the others which Deawen took as the place they needed to go. upon reaching the gate six men a t arms barred the way. Deawen told the others to stay right there (save Sen) and if anything was to happen they were to leave immediatly.
Deawen rode slowly towards the guards though her horse a trained war horse began to toss his head, snort, and prance. The guards looked nervous but stood their ground. " Halt! State your Buisness! " one men at arms called,She stopped Deawen straightened in the saddle, she gave quiet sigh just beofre she started introductions. " I am Lady Deawen of the westfolde, ambassador of King Elessar King of Gondor and Arnor"
she said, the letting Sen introduce himself.

Morwen stared intently at her saddle horn. She felt she had regained most of her own temperament. As Sen and Deawen left, she felt the evil weight on her mind ease up even further. She took a deep breath and tried to account for herself: she concetrated first on how she felt, physically, then what she could hear, smell, taste, remember. Everything was normal, but she still felt the presence. It was like she was waiting in a dark room and sensing someone else, though they eluded her mortal perception.

*Sen followed in line with Deawen, and spoke his turn after she had finished.*
I am Sen Lucia Ironbrow Starfire, Captain of the Storm, also ambassador of King Elessar. We seek lodgings for the night from this frigid cold, and possibly information to aid us in our quest.
*Flarenath was still, though his gaze, nearly sentinent, swept between the guards, as did Sen's; not aloof, not suspicious, merely watchful.*

The guards looked at Deawen to Sen then let them pass with a grunt. Deawen signaled to the others to catch up and follow.
" That went better than I expected " she told Sen in a low whisper.
" Though Orome only knows what awaits us up there" she said motioning to the citidel.

Imlosiel urged her steed forward through the gates, averting her eyes quickly to avoid making any eye contact with the burly guards as they passed. She was uncertain of this city where they were to find lodgings...something not quite right.
As they rode further past the gates, Imlosiel said in a quiet tone to Sen, "I am so sorry for what you said occurred in your city, and," she paused, "I hope that I have caused no harm in my inquiring."

The street which they rode upon was frozen mud, which meant when the mountain snows melted the frozen water would melt leaving behind a mud pit. The horses even with shoes treaded carefuly as frozen mud could act just like rocks and the last thing they needed was a lame horse. soon they came to a cobble stone road that led to the citidel. Bredol Pranced his usual gait. People stared at them as they passed they were frightened looks.
Deawen hadn't seen people this frightened looking since the war of the ring. She felt no evil presence here the fear was caused by the travelers presence.

Anira urged her steed forward along the frozen path. As she rode on in silence, the stones of the outpost reminded her of Gondor, the land of her birth. Yet though she had kin there, Gondor had never been her home. A wanderer by nature, she had often roamed the surrounding lands so that at times the city often seemed strange to her. As she rode past, she glanced around at the frightened looks of the people. Her heart longed to tell them that they meant no harm, but on this night she could offer little words of comfort-and even if she did speak who could tell if they would listen. So she rode on in silence and resolved herself to keep her eyes on their destination, silently praying that they would find more information to aid in their quest.

Deawen didn't heed the looks they recived her job wasn't to give comfort for the masses. She sighed as the buildings became more extravagant and more like Minas Tirith, she loathed that city, far too many memories for one place...
"Deawen you do realise that you face being banished for the fourth time? " Eston Said quietly in the forechamber that led into the throne room. Deawen sat on the bench defiant as ever. " I don't care, " Eston sighed, " Thats the problem you don't care, but you are married now you have your husbands reputation along with yours to worry about! " He retorted Deawen scowled. The door opened to the throne room, Deawen stood up and walked proudly into the hall, Eston followed behind with a sigh. ' I will never bow to any king good or evil, I rule myself, let others bow to kings and queens, when a king treats me as an equal a not a subject, then I will serve a king but never will I be broken...'
Eston coughed slightly breaking Deawen's thought she realised she had been daydreaming. She rode trying hard not to slip back into one of her memories.

Imlosiel gazed down into the eyes, wide with fear, of the people they passed on the way to their destination. She looked back into that fear with a sense of sadness and confusion. "Why should they act this way?" she mused as they plodded forward, "What has caused such a fear to grip this city so?"
