Shonnalen stood momentarilly stunned by his statement. She slowly walked down the stairs. A thought crossed her mind...I ... I love him too. She smiled to herself and headed for her room. Tomorrow would be a long day.

Trudy and Brendon went up stairs.
" you get your room all done?" she asked figuring she hadnt.
Ace nodded. " yeah i did."
Trudy looked impressed. " really. wow can i see?" she asked.
Ace nodded. "sure." she walked over to her room. Trudy looked in and smiled. " wow, this would have taken me weeks to do."
Ace blushed under the compliment and didnt say anything.
Trudy remembered she needed to ask ace a few questions. " hey ace, can we talk?" she asked.
Ace looked a little nervous, she knew this had been coming. but she nodded.

Brendon shrugged. "Fine ... you talk ... I'm going to bed." He turned and walked toward the bedroom tucking his hands behind his head. A soft sound made him turn. "What the ...???" He mumbled seeing a shadow flit down the hall. He shrugged again and stepped into his room.

Trudy blew a kiss at Brendon and laughed.
the girls walked into ace's room and sat on the bed.
Ace didnt look in Trudy's eyes but insted stared at the ground.
Trudy could feel Ace's uncomfortableness but ignored it. " Ace who were you running from last night when we met?" she asked softly. Ace looked up. " i dont know who exsactly who he is...i just know he's after me."
Trudy looked puzzled. " but why.."
Ace sighed..." i think it has something to do with.........." she paused. " can you keep a secret?" Trudy nodded. " my parents didnt die at 25...infact...they didnt die until they were killed at age 35.." she went on. " this man has been after me since i was 13.." she said.
Trudy sat there in silence.
she heard someone outside of the room. she stood up. " shh." she said to ace. "trudy grabed a hanger from the floor and walked over to doorway."

the man standing there ran the other way silently when he heard trudy get up. so when Trudy peeked around the corner. she saw nothing. she sighed and went to her own room. " Brendon!!" she said quite loudly. " stop sneeking up on us like that..." she said looking at him.

Brendon jerked awake and fell off the bed with a loud thump. "Ouch ... What the ... I didn't do nothing!!!" He protested sitting up rubbing the sore spot on his head.

"I have no idea ... you know how I am when I lay down though ... I don't move." He thought for a moment. "I thought I saw someone in the hallway, then I chocked it up to being a shadow ... I could have been wrong."

Trudy's face went into a panic.. " oh no." she started running back to Ace's room. before she got there she heard a shrill scream and started running faster. she got there and the man was there with his hand about to cut Ace's throat. Trudy ran and jumped on the mans back and grabed his hand.
the man let go of ace and ace ran out of the room.
The man turned hit Trudy in the head and the side so she would get off of him.
Trudy fell off and hit the ground. the man tried to get away but Trudy Grabed his ankle and he fell. he reached back with his knife and cut her arm. Trudy screamed and let go. the man got away fast.

Ace ran to get Brendon. " Brendon Trudy's in trouble help!" she exclaimed.

the realization of pain was like a wave over trudy. her ribs hurt her arm bled. " BRENDON..." she screamed.

Brendon didn't bother pulling on a shirt. He ran from the room as he heard Trudy scream his name. He was at her side in an instant. He looked up at Ace. "Get one of the shirts out of my room quick ... I don't care which one just get one!" He covered the cut on Trudy's arm covering most of the blood. "Easy ... easy, I'm here. Don't strugle I know it hurts. Shhh." He placed a hand int he middle of her back to keep her from getting up. "Don't move."

Shonnalen heard the ruckus and came out of her room now dressed in her nightgown. She headed straight for Bret's room. "We have trouble ... get up!" She headed for the new girls room and stepped inside to tee Brendon holding Trudy down.

Trudy squeezed her eyes shut and tried to hold back her screams. " i think my rib is broken." she said through clentched teeth.
just then Ace came back with the shirt and handed it to Brendon.
" a man came in and attacked me. Trudy saved me." she said looking at shonnalen. Ace was almost in shock. she had made it out with no wounds. but Trudy she saved her life. and now she was hurt..

Bret ran in right after shonnalen. " oh my gosh.. Trudy.." he ran to help Brendon.
he looked up at Shonnalen. " now is as good as ever time to head to the hospital.." he said waiting for her answer.

Brendon took his hand away from her arm and ripped the shirt to make a bandage which he quickly used to cover the wound and stop the bleeding.

Shonnalen looked over at Bret and nodded. "Very well ... Take her and go. Brendon, I need you here with me. Ace you may go or stay if you like, I would prefer if you stayed, I need to know what happened, plus we will have to move the supplys to the hospital tomorrow morning."

Brendon looked up and was about to protest about Bret taking Trudy, but on look at the determened look in his sister's eye and he fell silent again.

Trudy cried out in pain again. Bret swooped her up and ran out the door.
Ace looked up at Shonnalen. " i guess i'm staying." she said. she walked over to Shonnalen and explained everything. including why she thought the man was following her. she felt like she could trust her.

Shonnalen nodded understanding everything she was saying. "Very well. We should all get a good night sleep, we have to move early." She turned and lef the room.

Brendon went back to his own room, and tried to sleep. However it was strange not having Trudy there and it took him a while to fall asleep.

Bret ran into the hospital. " HELP! anyone!!" he yelled. he saw no one. it was dark and somewhat damp. there were surprisingly still corpes around. this made him a little uncomfortable. Trudy cried out in pain again. Bret looked down at her arm. he couldnt let it get infected. he had to find someone now. he ran through the emergency room doors and still found no one. he searched each room. one thing he did find was a strecher. he put Lanie on it and put her in the hallway so he could keep looking. he searched everywhere. finally he came back to where he had left Trudy. he sat down on the floor panting. he didnt know what to do. he hadnt found anyone, and the only suply closet he found was empty. he looked up at Trudy and saw that she was sound asleep. he sighed and closed his eyes.

Dawn came early and Shonnalen was up with the sun as usual, this time completely dressed. She woke her brother, then went and woke Ace. "Time to get up, no arguments, we have to move while most are still asleep."

Brendon heard his sister and reluctantly climbed from his bed. It was entirely to early for him, but her words and the memory of last night quieted his grumbles.

Shonnalen went to the safe and took all the amo. Even if the wepons were taken while they were gone, there would be nothing to load them with. She also took her wepons of preference and stashed them about her person, including tucking two small daggers into her hair making them look like a decritive hair clip. She looked up as her brother stumbled in for once completely dressed, and gathered his wepons.
