Deawen closed her eyes she was not blind! or was she? Deawen could easily be blinded by the hope of being free. "
Quote:
They are all my experiments, I have made what they are now and you are one of them Deawen...
" the words echoed "what?!" she asked in alarm "expiriment? I am no expiriment of yours!" she exclaimed Deawen regained control of her power.

Estel shivered. Two years?!
"You're right about that one. These lands are so desolate I'd rather it be night than day so its not as opressive."
she laughed bitterly, and sighed.
"I hope I'm not here any longer than needed. Maybe only a few more days... if all goes well. And if not all goes well... months."
She glanced at Adastrea, hoping she hadnt scared the girl.
"By the way, I'm Ambar."
(i dont remember if i said that or not)

"Why do you stay if you do not wish to?" Adastrea hesitated, not really wanting to give her name, but sighed slightly, "I am Adastrea."

"I have to... its part of my job..." she couldnt say much, for who knew what was lurking in these halls. The wrong words could mean the death of her... and possibly others.

the fire died down she felt normal again but now she had to face the truth she needed answers.

Adastrea only nodded and looked away, she would not trust those who served Sauron in any way. She had put some trust in Melachor only to have it crushed.

Estel leaned closer, and spoke in a soft tone.
"Do you want out of here, Adastrea?" she asked quietly, concern in her eyes.

Adastera gave her a wary look. "I have been tortured for two years, I have been alone, my parents were tortured and killed before me and I had to watch while their bodies were fed to the fell beasts of this land. Ihave lived on almost no food...who, after all that wouldn't want to leave here..."

Melachor smiled at Deawen.

"Dear Deawen do you think I do any physical harm to them? No... that isn`t my way... my way is to manipulate others and whisper lies in their ears, tell them cruel truths and all that just to see if they break down in pieces or survive as a different person... It`s the minds that I experiment, but not their bodies... cathing up with the plot? You now probably want to hit me or perhaps kill me... or did that pass already?"

Deawen listened to his words in silence absobing the infromation carefully "if i wanted to kill you i would have already do so...and as for hitting you no..." she said softly in a venom filled tone. She was no longer fearful.

"Well the news of your father could have made you aggressive or so have many of my experiments proved to be when they have lost something very dear for them.... and I thought that Adastrea cared for her innocence!"

Melachor smiled.

"No.. that`s not it.. she cares to be free and in peace... she doesn`t want to be locked in a cage... well...who would? But every single day and mistake are good things... how would I learn, if not trough mistakes?"

Adastrea sat silently, she had moved from the window and sat by the fire and picked up a book she had found lying around on a table. She opened it and stared at the page, not reading the words or turning it. Her mind wandered to what wouldbecome of her, what Melachor was...washe a child of the Valar? Melkor perhaps. She sighed slightly, wondering what he had planned for her. She would rather answer his questions about what she was than go along with his tests. Especially after what had happened with the servant that attacked her.

Melachor smiled.

"No response? Oh sure have it your way... but shall we begin training or am I now too trecherous?"

Leofwyn was still in Deawen's quarters. She was getting bored and hungry. Thinking that Deawen might get back soon, she poked her head out into the grim hallway just as the old hag walked by. "Excuse me, where can I find a meal for my mistress?" she asked politely, slightly scared of this old crone. (with cockney accent) "Go down the stairs. You'll find a big black door. Open the latch and ask for food for Lady Deawen, or the Dark Lady. 'E'll give the vittles to yeh. By the eye 'e will..." she trundled off, muttering and cackling to herself.

Slightly bewildered, Leofwyn stared at the wall across the way, careful not to focus on the stains that resided there, and started off. The stairway was there, as was the door, just as the hag had said it would be. She knocked on the door. A quiet voice said, "Enter!" She opened the door, and was confused.
\
Inside was a spotless kitchen, fully equiped, with wonderful smells wafting from every pan. The cook was a young man about Leofwyn's age, maybe a little older, who was dressed in black and red, but wearing the distinctive jewellery of the Northern Peoples (No Rohirrim yet, right?), very similar to her own. "Ic grete þe! Not everyday you find a kinsman in Mordor, eh?" he said to her, smiling, but quickly turning back to the kettle he was stirring.
\
At loss for words, Leofwyn finally stuttered, "I didn't expect the kitchen to be so..." "Clean?" he suggested. "Yes, and the food..." "Yes. It wasn't quite this nice when I got here. Still, it scrubbed up nicely," he paused, looking proudly about him. Snapping his attention back to Leofwyn, he asked, "So, what can I get you?"

"A meal for Lady Deawen. And could I possibly get something for myself? I haven't had anything decent for a while..." "Of course, Lady...What did you say your name was?" "Leofwyn." "Lady Leofwyn. I am Alric." An awkward silence followed as he prepared a tray. "So, what are you given to cook?" she asked politely. "Everything normal. They steal chickens and livestock from the Numenorean settlements and bring it here. The same is true with flour and honey and sugar...There!" he said, finishing the trays. "Well," blustered Leofwyn, "I'd best be going. I hope to meet you again, Alric." "Wes tu, Leofwyn hal," he said back with a slight nod. She smiled slightly and turned to go.

Back in the room, Leofwyn downed her food, and guzzled the wine down. It wasn't the best, and was watered down, but was satisfying all the same. She wondered about what had happened to the other servant.
