"They're the legendary Soul Crystals, I'm pretty sure. I know a little about them, but probably only what everyone else knows from kid's stories," he said, though the last part was mostly to himself...

"Surely you jest," Arwyn replied to Aaron in shock, though deep in her heart she knew that he spoke the truth. "I have heard of them-the Valdeen have often spoke of them, but I thought them nothing more than a legend..." she added softly as her voice trailed off and her gaze returned to the stone that glowed brightly in her hand.

Iris sat pouting for quite some time. However, with the sounds of screaming from the Soul Crystals, she became slightly intrigued. Standing up, Iris looked for the nearest person that would hopefully have a crystal.

She slowly approached Aaron, staring at the little crystal. "What is it supposed to do?"

Fisco had a few moments prior, releaved himself from boredom. Walking away from the group, he quickly ran after any little animal he could possibly see until he was far enough away that he could walk without being noticed. In his mind, his sister was safe with the tall people, and he was just practically immortal.

"Unfortunately, my knowledge on the crystals is limited. I have heard that the crystals are meant to be united, but what is occurs when the missing halves are joined, I know not." Arwyn stated. She then turned to the others. "Are any of you aware of its powers?" she asked. As her gaze shifted around the group, something seemed amiss-someone seemed to be missing. "Umm, Aaron?" she asked tentatively. "Is it just me or are we missing someone?"

Aaron frowned when Arwyn mentioned about someone missing. He glanced around.
"Oh no," he murmered. "Where did Fisco go?"

Vertha stopped and went still for a minute. She sniffed the air for the little hobbit, but she got a smell of something far worse. "Oh no," she said. "More demons." She withdrew her pistol and cocked it before riding towards the direction of the smell.

Arruina watched as the two pulled out Soul crystals. So they did know, she mused. She tightened her grip on the reins when Vertha warned of deamons. She put a hand on her sword hilt, ready for anything, and licked her teeth under her lips with closed mouth as was habbit.
"More? This forest is no longer safe," she murmered...

"Oh no, and with Fisco out somewhere? Not good," he said, pulling a small book out of a pouch at his waste...

"Hopefully he went somewhere far away so I won't have to see him for a long time," Iris trailed off while she spoke from staring at the crystal in awe.

Fisco soon found himself a stick and a little rabbit to run after and try to hit with the stick. "Ah ha!" he shouted for victory after he had hit the rabbit for either the second or third consecutive time. Although, his shout of victory came to an abrupt halt when his tiny ears caught hold a mountain of rustling leaves. Looking past a tree, Fisco could see something coming, (though he was not too sure what the something was) and briefly smirked, "Cool...."

"You don't mean that," Arwyn told Iris softly. With that she raised her head and stared off into the distance. "What a rotten stroke of luck," she muttered under her breath. Ignoring the crystal burning brightly in her hand, she quickly placed it back in her pouch, trying her best to ignore the heat as she attached the pouch to her waist again. Readying herself for the attack she then looked to Aaron, "If Fisco does not return soon, perhaps we should look for him?" she asked.

Aaron thought for a moment, then turned to his white tiger.
"Saradh, go find and guard Fisco. Bring him back here if you can. If you can't, leave a trail easy to follow," he said. Saradh rubbed her head against Aaron's neck, and then took off into the forest at a lope. "We can follow after we take care of the demons," he said, a worried look in his eyes. I hope Saradh won't get to the hobbit too late...

Vertha had rode off originally but she decided to return. She knew Larkus would be extraordinarily mad if she did it, lest of all she be killed. She encountered the white tiger, Saradh, as she returned. They were all waiting there. She wondered what to do when they found the halfling. She had an idea what she would do. She would have to report to Father and tell him of her success but after that, she wasn't quite sure.

Arwyn nodded at Aaron's words before staring off into the horizon once again, looking for any sign of the demons. She could sense that the attacking wave drew nearer and she waited for the right time to strike.
