But I am here! I'll just make a tiny post, just to get things going. Most of us are here, by the way. ))
Swiftly Amaran heaved Luinen into the saddle. "Hold on." He muttered, and then nudged Gry into a swift canter. The sky was dark overhead, obscuring the ground into shadow, but he pushed his mare on all the same. He needed to get home to his family and friends. He needed to know they were safe.

Callisto felt her throat constrict as she viewed the utter destruction of her homeland. The smell of smoke mingled with the sickening stench of freshly spilled blood and the bodies of the dead lay strewn about on the land, their blood staining the once green valley in a crimson hue. "By the stars," she muttered, her face pale with fear. Urging Este into a decent, she frantically scanned the carnage for any sign of life, hoping against hope to find her family and any of her friends well.

Minna flew down close above the ground, close to where she lived, it was all blood, her family was gone...their carcasses lay on the ground, blood all along the ground. Minna sang her phoenix song sadly, crying for all those who had died.

Senka wandered through the village until she came upon a ruined home, there a man lay dieng, beyond him his wife was dead. Senka narrowed her eyes. The man looked at her pleading for help.
((Could some one play the man for me, its Senka's father, he's going to die, so its only for a few posts.))

Luinen held on around Amaran's waste with one arm, and held her bow in the other. She fought hard to keep tears from running down her face. Nenwa, the blue fire lizard, flew ahead of the rest. She sent back pictures of fire and dead bodies back to Luinen's mind. She gasped at the images and tightened her grip on her bow.
Who ever had done this will pay, she thought as they entered the village. Before Amaran could stop his horse, Luinen jumped off and knocked an arrow to her bow, ready for anything. She nodded thanks to Amaran briefly, then ran off to the center of town where her own home stood, or used to stand. Nenwa came up beside her and screached in worry...

((I'll play the dying father! Oh, the angst))
The crackle of dying fire echoed dully through the smokey air. He pulled Gry to a quick stop and leapt down, quickly tying her riens at a post away from the fire. His home was a short sprint from Gry, so he could already tell it had been burned. An anguish crept into his heart as he searched the smoldering remains. "Memera!" He cried, calling for his wife. Beneath a falling beam he saw her face, blackened with soot. He leapt to her side and wrestled with the beam, only to fall away nursing a singed arm. In a fit of grief he slammed the earth with his power, raising two pillars of stone that lifted the wooden beam clear of his wife. He gazed into her eyes and immediatly saw that they were dull and lifeless. She was dead. Her once rosey cheeks were pale and soot covered, and her bright red hair was mutilated with singes and muck. A growl escaped his lips, feral and low. He turned from his house in anger. Tears filled his eyes but he roughly wiped them away. She had been a fire elementalist? Could she not save herself from those horrible burn? How could his whole life be wiped out in one night?
The pain in his side was unbearable. He could do nothing but lie on his side and moan, praying his death came soon. Burns covered most of his body, as did a large sword woulnd in his side. Both were rewards for fighting the invaders. Just as the world began to darken and his hurts lessen, just as he thought the sweet blanket of death had come, he heard voices. They pulled him grudgingly to the world of the living, full of pain and blood and fear. He glanced into the first eyes he saw, expecting murderers but instead looked into the eyes of his daughter. "Help" He begged, his parched voice only allowing him to whisper.
