Minna swooped over the place where she lived, turned into a human and then landed in the middle of the wreck. Her parents burnt corpses where there, Felicity and Charles Larental, as were her mother's brothers Jet, James and Kitsong La'Guardia. She squatted down next to them sadly, tears rolling down her cheeks. Minna murmured,"Poor Ma, poor Pa." Her mother was the air elemental, her father was an air nomad, he knew everthing there was to know about air elementals. She bowed her head to all,"Be at peace ma, pa and uncles...rest and I will avenge you all..." She then stood, watching them sadly.

Callisto dismounted as Este landed upon the bloodied earth bearing the charred remains of her home. "Mother! Father!" she called as she raced into the blackened shell, only to find their burned bodies lying in a pool of blood. "No, No!" she screamed, tears falling from her aqua eyes. Both were light elementals and skilled at their craft. She could not believe that they would be gone in an instant. With that she turned and fled from her home, wanting only to escape the stench of death that overshadowed a place once filled with light and love. Once outside she sank to her knees and drew in deep shaky breaths. "This can't be happening," she choked out, as she slammed her fist upon the ground. Amid her sorrow for her the loss of her parents, one name suddenly penetrated through her thoughts. Algren. she thought suddenly as she looked wildly around for her elder brother. Leaping to her feet she raced to home of Aliana, knowing that her brother would give his life to save his love. "Algren!" she called. Please let him be alright, she prayed silently, hoping against hope that he had managed to escape. But her hopes were dashed as she saw the prone form of a familiar young man and woman on the ground . Walking shakily toward the body she sank to her knees and wept anew as recognized the face of one who had been not only a brother but a close friend. "Algren, Aliana" she whispered. Gathering his bloodied body in her arms, she gently ran her fingers over his pale cheek. "It is not right, the two of had so much to live for, so much left to share" she wept as buried her face against his lifeless body. She was unsure of how long she remained this way until she heard the light footsteps of her Pegasus behind her. I am sorry for your loss, my friend, Este's musical voice came into her mind. Callisto raised her head then to gaze into the creature's large, sad eyes. Giving her friend a wan smile, she then turned to look at the pale face of her brother one last time. "You fought valiantly my brother. Be at peace." she whispered. "I shall always love you," Kissing him lightly on the brow, she gently lay him back down before turning toward the body of his slain love. Brushing back a strand of limp copper hair from the woman's pale face, she gazed at her amid a veil of tears. "You were like a sister to me, Aliana. I shall never forget you." Rising to her feet, Callisto nodded at Este before turning away.
As the pair walked away, Callisto gazed at the heavens. I know you taught me to forgive, but how can I ignore such brutality? Mother, Father, Algren and Aliana, if your souls are near, please guide me to what is right. I pray that you will find your peace in death. she thought as she angrily brushed away the tears that threatened to spill anew.

Jeniya rode swiftly to the valley,, her ivory black hair whipping in her face. Tylia flew behind her, just as swift as his companion. As she drew closer to her home, she felt the spilled blood stronger and stronger. It gnawed at her heart, burning it and aching it. When she arrived at the valley, she almost couldn't recognise it. If it wasn't for the pools of Elementalist blood screaming out for her, she would have ridden right past it. Her mouth opened as she saw the sheer destruction and death that the invaders had unleashed on her home. Quickly she rode to her lover's house. Or what was left of it. As she did, she passed the field where she buried her parents. To her relief, the invaders hadn't desecrated it. But that relief was extinguished quickly like a candle in a storm. Her lover's house and in a way, her house was completely razed to the ground. She dismounted and scrambled towards it, hoping that he was still alive even though she could feel his familiar blood leaving his beautiful body. She finally found him buried underneth a pile of smoldering ruins. It was like her heart had dropped down from her chest. She collapsed on top of him, weeping. Tylia flew around her and then landed on her shoulder, folding her wings. She held onto her lover's body for a long time before she got up. She asked to Tylia specifically but it was meant for all, "What shall we do now?"

Senka growled. "Why, when you and mother helped to banish me into the wild. For what, for powers that I didn't understand. Why should I help you now?" She looked at her mother. "I felt her die, did you know that, I can tell when someone's dead, and your close to dieing. So tell me why should I help you."

"We find the demons who did this and kill them." Amaran growled, an answer to Jeniya's question. "Doesn't matter if they outnumber us, 'cause as long as I kill them until I'm dead, I'll be happy." Grief was still hot in his heart, driving him with passion.

((Um, I don't really know anything about her father, River...I'm just making this up as I go. Correct me if I have his personality inncorect. I'll edit it))
He gaped at his daughter, unable to find words. Finally, he gave up, and sank back down to the ground. "I guess it doesn't matter now." He rasped. "You see death. I'm guessing you can see it on me. It was taking me away until you and your friends stormed in here and scared it off" He gasped for breath, a feat that was becoming harder and harder as time dragged on. "Leave, and take the nightdemons with you. Let me die in peace."

Galain ran towards the ruins which in the past had been his home. The front door was blocked for the roof of the house had collapsed during the fire. Only through the window he gained entrance to his old home and what he found inside confirmed his worst feelings: his mother was burried under the pile of rocks and wood, close to the door. Galain quickly removed all the materials. She had been a beautiful woman and a caring mother, eventhough the burden of raising four childeren after her husbands death had been heavy for her. Now her body was bruised and broken after the collapse of the roof. He found his two little brothers, close to his sister. They had been unable to protect her, as they had done alot in the past. Tears now strained his cheeks as he closed the eyes of the little girl, of whom he'd always tried to take care for as his father should have done. Galain then suddenly jumped to his feet and made his way out of the house which once had been a sanctuary to him but now was a dead place.
Outside he fell on his knees and let out a cry, filled with grief. He cried and threw some dust over his head. Then slowly he started to hum an old mourning song completely unaware of his surrounding..

((Sorry, Nienna has already taken me. I'm flattered though ))
((Again, I'm not quite sure how to play your character's father, so just tap my shoulder and correct me if there's anything you want me to change. Just a question though: Do you want him to be angry and Senka or be kind to her?))
The man chuckled, but the laugh came out to softly to hear. He was fading fast. He seemed not to be connected to the ground, his head was foggy. [/i]Blood loss[/i] a distant logical voice rang in the corner of his mind. He glanced at the wound in his side, still oozing blood. Every drop leaving his body was a drain of his life force.

((A phooey. I want some one to make my chartacter nice instead of Nasty. She needs to learn to love. As for the father, he could be remorseful, after all he hated what she was when she was banished. I was thinking of havingher show a lttle sadness when he dies before pushing it back.))
Senka knelt. "Tell me. I want to know before you die."

Roania walked into what had used to be the village, heart filling up with rage. A small shimmer caught her eye among the rubble. It was a round pendant that had been her brother's, the only family she had had. She picked it up as a tear ran down her cheak. Gritted her teeth in anger, sparks jump off her finger tips as she vowed to kill who ever had done this.

((If you want a character to help make your friend nice, my character can be her friend, if you want it. But if you're looking for romance, you'll have to look somewhere else. Unless of course you want Senka to fight Minna for him. I know Amaran wouldn't mind the fight Anyway...back on topic.
Okay...remorseful, but soon to be covered up. Gotcha. Oh, and I've probably told you this before, and I'll know doubt tell you again (because of my faulty memory) but I adore you avatar. Its so brilliant I can't explain it. I giggle every time I look at it.))
"You want know?" The old man moaned. "Fine." Despite his weakness, a sudden fiercness leapt into his eyes. "Your grandma, my ma. She was a shadow elementalist, like yourself. So few of them, even in your grandma's time. Most were feared because of thier powers: nightmares and such, so they were avioded, given respect, but nothing else. She was a powerful woman, with a powerful gift. A cruel gift. Gave little kids nightmares, simply for daring eachother to touch "the crazy lady's" door. Gave me horrible nightmares, punishment for not carring on her gift, her shadow. I thank the heavens every day my Da was a light elementalist, and he gave me his element, not the cruel, loveless shadows. My da...He tried to help me, but my mom would have none of it. She woke up a past memory in his head, for trying to stop her from teaching me power I didn't have. Don't know if his memory was real or shoved into place by my mother, but it was horrible. He went mad the night of my fifteenth birthday. He hung himself. The rest of my bloody life under her roof was hell. I suffered through nightmares you wouldn't believe, nightmares you'd die from!" His breaths came in gasps, and tears welled up in his eyes, only to flood down his cheeks. He steadied himself before continuing.
"I thought I had been rid of her the day she died. I met your ma, the finest woman in the world. Gorgeous, and a light elementalist like myself. I thought shadows would never be able to enter my life again. And then you came, our little blessing. You were so beautiful!" He broke down sobbing, a look of yearning and lost love in his eyes. He saw his daughter as that: His child, beautiful and whole. But that image lasted but a moment. He shoved it away, as he had so many times before. His eyes glazed over, full of hate and ice. "You were like your mother, in face, except for your eyes. They were like your grandma's, dark with shadow and pain and cruelty. I thought it a small burden that I would overcome. Then you showed your element. My weak blood had passed down mom's power, and it made me sick to the heart. I couldn't bare the sight of you. The memories were too hard to overcome. I tried to end it all, first with myself like da had done, and another time with you, when you were sleeping in bed. Your ma stopped me, both times. She saw my pain, saw my rage, and understood I would not, could not, possibly live with this horrible reminder in my house. She agreed to banish you, if for both our sakes, for if she had not one of us would surely be dead."
With sigh Senka's father slumped back onto the ground. "That's the story, my daughter" He murmured.

((Oooooh, i love the reason. And thanks for the compiment. I fout the Avvie but I think its perfect. As for some one to be with Senka, well maybe you could make a character that they meet in their travels that ends up with Senka and helps her. Also, did you get my PM?))
Senka lifted a mand to her face, she was crying, but why? She moved closer to her father. "I had no control, I do now. But not once have I ever used it to do such things." She told him.

At the center of town, Luinen stood outside what had once been a solid stone wall with huge solid gates. The walls had gaps here and there, the stone strewn aside, but not all the way to the ground. The great gates with carvings of what were thought to be the first water elementals was closed shut. But, blood was splashed all over it and on the ground. Luinen could feel tainted water inside. Carefully she opened the gate, and as she did so water tainted with blood spilled out.
When the water stopped, Luinen stepped inside what had once been a beautiful courtyard full of fountains and springs and entrences to an underground river. All of these were destroyed. But for one. The great middle fountain that was still running. Only it wasn't water that was falling from the mouths of the statues but a red liquid. Blood. Nenwa skreiched and landed on Luinen's shoulder, wrapping her tail around the elemental's neck ceremonialy.
Without showing emotion or responding to this horrible sight, Luinen went forward to the building on the otherside of the courtyard. Half the building was in smolders, the other half still burning slightly. Luinen sent Nenwa in, no hope at all in her heart. Soon the fire lizard came back, showing pictures of charred bones and dead bodies. A single tear rolled down her cheek, but she caught it with her finger and stared at it.
"So they are gone," she murmered, and then watched the tear fall to the blood and water soaked ground.
Then a sound brought her out of her sad trance. A shrill cry coming from a smaller building that stood in the corner of the courtyard. One wall still stood, the other walls fell outward, and the roof made a triangle with the wall still up. That's where the sound came from. Luinen ran over there, and with all her might pushed away beams and blocks of wood, rubble and other things.
After a long a difficult struggle, a tame water horse, or friendly kelpie, was freed from the reck. It lay on it's side, heaving, with it's head in Luinen's lap, the woman caressing it's cheek. It was the size of a large horse, with soft, waterproof fur that was tinted blue. It had split hooves with webbing in between, and a few other things a kelpie had. It suffered from minor burns and some bruises and scratches.
"Please live. You might be the only survivor of this, and probably only by luck. You must live, I won't let you die. It's alright, it's alright. You're safe now," Luinen cooed to it, stroking it's cheek still...
(okay, I did that so that Luinen can have a mount and so wouldn't have to always be on foot... I think it would be cool if the kelpie was the only survivor... but, I guess it's really up to Nienna if the kelpie lives or not...)

((Wooo! Kelpies rock!
And River, If its allright with whoever started this RP, then I'll make a character. And yes, I got your RP.))
"I know" He muttered. "I know, I think I always have. I just wasn't willing to forget my pain." He closed his eyes, focusing. Had it always been this hard to think? His mind felt so muddled. Struggling, e spoke again. "I think, if I had tried harder, if I had been stronger, I may have grown to love you. But it's too late now. I have no more time. I'm sorry." Suddenly his body, starved of blood, began to twitch. He groaned, but was unable to control himself. Feeling his essence slip away, a feeble grin slid onto his face. "Goodbye" he whispered.

((Thanks.))
Senka stood up, she felt him pass on. And now her mind was torn, why would she cry for the man that hated her? She turned and looked about and silently approched one of the other elementals, she didn't know them, but she was curious as to the relation they had with the dead.
((Could people start taking more notice of Senka. maybe even fear her a bit because of her powers.))
