She watches Maeth and smiles, "Yes dear." She turns and walks towards Goldleaf and the dwarf. Smiling briefly at Rain she calls to the former two, "Oi! I need some help with gathering firewood... Among other things..." The last phrase is muttered into the depth of her pack through which she was now rummaging. Night was beginning to fall and she glances rather worriedly at Maeth.

(Hmmm... perhaps there can be something going on in the woods but we can manage to keep it still midday? At least like early evening. That might work.)

Goldleaf raised an eyebrow. She was sure that she had been bred for better callings than collecting firewood, but she stood up with a pleasant smile. "Of course," she said, but then lowered her voice. "Is there something wrong, something we should know about?" She was a trained warrior, alert as an eagle. "If there is, it's best if everyone knows."

She looks up at Goldleaf and sighs, "Yes... But I think that for the moment not to worry the wounded. Warrior always tend to protest and want to stay awake and look heroic for some reason, dear..." She extracts a small brush from her pack and beams. "There you are you rascal..." Placing it on top of the other items, she stands. "Now off with the both of you. Firewood. We can discuss watches for when it grows dark later."

She raised a bemused brow and called over her shoulder, "I heard that, Sairahiniel." Chuckling she turned back to face her friend, "Are we ready?" She questioned, looking between her friend and Goldleaf. Her face remained calm, but it was clear that behind her brown eyes her mind was working overtime, accounting for anything that could happen and adding it into her equation for keeping everything together. She may not have been the best with people, but there were few better strategists out there.

Giving Maeth a broad grin, "Hear what dear?" Her face takes on an expression of innocence as she looks at the ground. Suddenly her head snaps up. "Oh Valar... I do wish he would stop looking for me." She grimaces, "Yes, I'm ready. I'll be gone for a little however... Someone who I have been trying very hard to shake off is here." She turns on her heel and walks out of the clearing again. "Ill get some wood, dont worry," she calls over her shoulder as she steps into the trees.

She shook her head and snickered at the response, "Alright, off with you then. But be careful, lass. And do call if you need help, I know it's already implied but just a reminder," she said with a dismissive air. She turned about slowly in a circle, her critical eyes looking for strong and weak spots in their surroundings....and maybe something useful could be done with the bodies. Nodding and seemingly decided, she started a walk around the clearing once more, this time taking a body count.

Goldleaf folded her arms. "Not more orcs?" she enquired. "We can't hold them off this time, there are too few of us. We nearly died last time. And there are still members of our party who are missing." Her blue eyes narrowed as the two others seemed to work matters out between themselves. It seemed they were already seeking to adopt the positions of leaders. She didn't know their names yet, either.

She bursts back carrying and armful of wood. She gives Goldleaf a gentle smile, "Miss... When your friends get back their strength, you will barely see the two of us. We just want to help. For the time being, " she adds as she drops the wood and kneels. "Now I dont see you helping much..." She retorts as she starts arranging the wood. "If you're too unwell, then Im sure Master Dwarf will be more tan glad to help out." She didnt mean it as an insult, merely giving the girl a choice of rest if she wished it.

"I'll help." Goldleaf knelt down and started to help arrange the wood. "It's just you and your friend seem a little on edge right now. And I know all too well the dangers that lurk in the forest." She gave a small smile. "I've been living here for two years."

Garsun stood quiet for a bit, then got up and came over to the stack of wood.
"I shall start the fire. Being a dwarf, that would be one of my specialties. Oh, and if we run out of this wood, I think we should use the bodies of the orcs for the fire. That would be one good way to get rid of them so they don't befile the forest," he said, taking a tinder box out of his pack...

Goldleaf smiled at Garsun. "An excellent idea," she said. "Orcs don't have any right to be in this forest. Did you know that Ithilien is known as the land of the waterfalls? In a way, it's sacred." She set the logs of wood a little straighter. "I'm sure that in your home country, Master Dwarf, it's the same with your mountains."

Rain listened intently for awhile, then sighed. So they wouldn't let her into knowing they were being watched. But she knew now.
Act like you haven't, though, and go to sleep. Rest is the best thing at the moment, she thought to herself, and leaned back against the tree and closed her eyes...

Goldleaf stood up and dusted her hands. She looked around; it was very quiet. She sighed and walked over to log she could sit on. She looked over at Rain who was sitting against a tree; she seemed to be asleep. Goldleaf smiled and rested her chin in her hands.

She grimaces up at the two. "Oh no. I will not cook over that garbage, nor smell it. We can burn the bodies when we leave. We will have to dig a pit and try to not make too much smoke." Standing she smiles at the dwarf, "And fires are as you said... Your speciality." She goes and stands in front of Goldleaf, "No miss, this is no danger of the forest. I doubt that you have ever seen one of them."
