She grimaces up at the two. "Oh no. I will not cook over that garbage, nor smell it. We can burn the bodies when we leave. We will have to dig a pit and try to not make too much smoke." Standing she smiles at the dwarf, "And fires are as you said... Your speciality." She goes and stands in front of Goldleaf, "No miss, this is no danger of the forest. I doubt that you have ever seen one of them."

She chuckled at Saira and took a seat at the base of a tree, apparently much calmer, her strategies planned, but hopefully they wouldn't need to be used. Maethoriel glanced up at Saira with a raised brow indicating she would have questions about their "intruders" at some point in time. Yawning she dug a pipe out of her bag, stuffed it with leaf and lit it with a word mumbled under her breath, "I agree with Saira. The smell of burning bodies is sure to breed questions from our enemies, and as we already know there are not enough of us to face another group of orcs. For now I say we rest, and set up some manner of shifts," she finished, her pipe already dangling precariously from her lips as she stared up at the sky.

Garsun chuckled.
"Well, that shows what I still have to leard about battle in the wild, being still young in dwarf reckoning," he said, working on the fire, but stopped, and looked at the kind of wood. "Good, very good. Good choice of kind of wood, and it's dry, both things that prevent smoking," he murmered, and went back to creating a fire. In no time he had a nice flame going...

She smiled at the dwarf, "I did not spent a millennia in Lothlorien for nothing then. Im glad you approve," Sitting down she takes her brush and starts combing her hair. Humming softly, she leans against the tree behind her and closes her eyes.

Goldleaf was silent. She glanced up at Sairahiniel, frowning. "You doubt I've never seen one of what? A Nazgul? Aye, we've had plenty of those in Osgiliath, no doubt there." She laughed quietly. "What is it that you speak of?"
She looked over at Garsun's fire and smiled. "It's a good fire," she said. "It should keep us all warm for a while."

Garsun stuck out his chest in pride, and took off his heavy helmet and set it beside him.
"A fire is something most should learn how to make in times like this," he said, now putting his tinder box back in his pack. Under his helmet, Garsun's hair was all matted down...

"Indeed. In my time in the wild I've made many fires," Goldleaf said. "Every night I sit in the dark and warm my hands over the fire I've made. Usually alone. But now I have company."

"Indeed, you have company now. Though we might have company that we don't know about, nor want," Garsun chuckled, then paused a moment. "You mentioned the Nazgul earlier. I believe one of them came to the Lonely mountain awhile back. Back before Gimli and Gloin left to Rivendell. He apeared as a black rider at our front door and asked about Bilbo the Hobbit and this Ring he carried. Dain of course turned him away," he said, a shiver ran down his spine at remembering the awefull hissing the rider had made when Dain turned him away from the Lonely Mountain...

Goldleaf sighed. "I have seen Nazgul, flying over Gondor. They ride upon a breed of dragon-serpents now. They were once men, kings - but Sauron tempted them into becoming his slaves with his nine rings of power. As you most probably know, Garson. They will never stop hunting the one that they seek." Her expression was grim.

She grimaced at the thought of the Nazgul, "Yes, well Master...Garsun? That is it right? I don't believe that creature shall be giving you dwarves any more worry," she said in a lazy drawl, smoke spewing from her mouth. Opening one of her eyes she observed the fire, "A fine flame to be sure, it's always useful to have a dwarf in the company. I'm useless with flint and the like. I tend to sit out in the dark with no fire half of my journeys."
"Saira, lass come here," she smirked and curled a finger indicating that she would like to speak to her friend.

Garsun nodded affirmative that Meath had his name right. He rumaged through his pack, and pulled out a pipe of his own. It had a long stem, had a metal tip for the mouth, and was covered in intricate carvings, some of which were laced with a metal that looked much like silver. Garsun stuffed some pipe-weed in it and lit it with a small flaming twig from the fire.
"I hope you're right about the black rider," he said, "a rode troden without a friendly flame always seems to last longer than one with a fire, I think."

She laughs at the golden-haired girl. "Oh no... Its not one of the Dark ones miss. Our watcher perhaps, but what threatens us at the moment, no." Glancing at the fire, "Aye Master Garsun... That is indeed a lovely fire. But I do so like green..." Winking she absently plays with a leaf. The fire turns from orange to yellow and then to a pale green.

Shaking her head shed stood up, her pipe in hand. Twisting her head about it gave a sickening crack, "I do not so much need a fire so long as I have the stars," she responds to Garsun displaying a rare moment of her elvish heritage. It quickly dissapates as the pipe is stuck back into her mouth, "I'll take first watch if no one minds. I'll find no sleep tonight, or for several to come if I know my own sleeping pattern...which I do. As for the black rider, Master Garsun, you can be assured that none shall bother your precious mountain. Although I can't say that your kin folk are safe from other servants of Sauron, but the same goes for all that walk in this day and age."

"Who knows. My people will be fine as long as there's no black riders," Garsun said, a hopefull look in his eyes, which went wide when the fire changed to green. He looked up at Sair with a questioning look.
"You know magic? Gandalf did a trick like this when he visited the Lonely Mountain. He'd even turn smoke rings different colors," there was a hint of awe in his voice as he said this then sucked from his pipe then blew out a small smoke ring that flew for a few minutes then broke into a puff...

Goldleaf stood up and stretched, unimpressed by the display of magic. She looked over towards Garsun. "I don't believe at this present moment that Mithrandir has any more time for magic tricks. His calling is war for now," she said. "Last time you met him, perhaps, he was all in grey? He is all white now, the White Wizard, and there is not a person in Gondor who doesn't trust him - save our Lord, perhaps."
