Well, most of us (I hope) know about how the EE have Audio Commentaries, like the Director and Writers commentary and such and such, but I had an idea. What about fan commentaries? Has anyone heard of any?

I wondered weather anyone knew weather it had been done before, and why not make some of our own? Get a few LOTR fans together, record a commentary, paste the audio to the video, post em on youtube, and link them back to AU for other fans enjoyment? I mean it's great to have the Actors/Director/Writers/Producers/Production Team's views, but what about the fans? Scene by scene? Just like the ones on the dvds?

Haha sounds like an excellent idea. It'd be so much fun getting a few fellow LotR [s]geeks[/s]...er...friends together and make our own commentary! My brother and I always comment the films out loud anyways, we should record it next time we have a marathon, lol

I've always wondered how you could get the technology to do that, it seems pretty high tech, and you'd need a large file sharing website, since the movies are so long.

But it is a great idea.

That'd be really neat!
It would take a lot of planning and willpower though, so that wouldn't be the thing for me.
I also don't know anyone in RL who are LotR fans so it wouldn't do to comment on my own and laugh all by myself at the silly things

Wouldn't it be so hilarious to make a fan commentary with one teenybopper fangirl (for instance an Orli/Leggie fangirl), one book purist, one Tolkien scholar and one film fan.

The fangirl would be squeeling over Legolas the whole time thinking the other ones are hopelessly boring for not doing so.
The book purist would sit there and criticize every little thing about the movie comparing it to the book the whole time.
The Tolkien scholar would continuously provide geeky and nerdy trivia no one cares about.
The film fan would tell everyone to just shut up, relax and enjoy the film.

Thus everyone would annoy everyone!




It's quite easy actually... there's a feature in Windows Movie Maker for commenting the video you have uploaded.

She used to love him as a baby. Then when she got a bit older she just got really freaked out by him. I'm sure she'll grow out of it.

She prefers Star Wars at the moment. But she lives in a house with two Tokien geeks, it'll be hard for her to avoid.

That's why I don't want to push it on her. I want her to grow up loving and embracing the work not hating it because mum and dad made her.
