"Look, I'm not going to tell you I understand how you feel. I don't even know what advice I can even give y'kid" Logan replied, his voice softer and more soothing than it's normal abrasiveness.
"But this is a place that can maybe help you, help deal with your powers"

Logan bit down on his sandwhich and pondered for a moment, his expression darkening
"I know Xavier is gone, there's nothing we can do about that. I know if he was still here, he could help you and he would help you."

Marie took in a deep breath and shook her head to Logan. "There's really no way to help me, now that the Professor is gone, Logan." She told him softly and looked back up and into his eyes. She really didn't like saying that, but she knew that it was true.

Scott nodded to Cora and smiled a little to her. "Thanks..." He said to her softly and then slowly stood up from the bench he had been sitting on. He stretched his arms a bit and then looked around the yard. "It's really quiet around here and that's not normal." He told her softly.

Cora stood up as well. "Really, well, I guess my arrival is perfect timing, nothing to distract anyone from showing me around, right?" She said with a smile. "The woman that greted me said she would, but I don't know where she would be, maybe you could show me around in the mean time?"

Logan looked at Rogue, listening to her words intently. She was still trying to reconcile the return of her powers, there was no words he could say that could make her feel better.
"You just gotta do the best with what you have kid" he said, putting down his sandwich, his voice becoming serious "I know Chuck ain't around anymore, but you can't give in. You're a survivor Rogue" he shook his head and continued "Marie." he corrected himself. "Just like me" he finished and looked at her, waiting for her to respond.

Marie looked into Logan's eyes and then slowly nodded to him. "I know..." She said softly back to him and ran her fingers through her hair, seeming a bit sad. "I just wanted to know what it felt like to actually touch someone. I don't remember anymore..." She said to him and took a deep breath, trying not to get too upset.

Scott nodded to Cora and smiled a little more to her. "Sure... I can give you a tour. I'm not a very good tour guide, but I'll try." He said to her and then started walking back toward the front door of the mansion, so that they could get back inside.

Marie felt tears reach her eyes and then slowly nodded in agreement with Logan. "You're right..." She said softly and then looked down to her lap once again. "I need to let go." She whispered the last part and then exhaled deeply, while closing her eyes - trying her hardest not to cry.

He shifted in his chair, and leaned back into it relaxing somewhat.
"Haven't you spoken to Iceman about how you're feelin'?" Logan asked all to unsubtley "After all he is supposed to be your boyfriend"

Marie shook her head to Logan and sighed deeply. "We broke up..." She said softly to him and looked up into his eyes. "Why should I have a boyfriend when I can't touch him? That's not fair to him." She said sadly and leaned back in her chair, as well. She hated having the powers that she was given. She wanted something else.
