The Ballad of Dweezel the Dimwit
Do you wish me to tell you a tale?
A tale that would make the bravest men quail?
A story so gruesome, it's a fear to behold
A story of a voter who was so very bold
He thought he could annoy the the pink duckies
And live to be old
But he found himself rather starved of life....
And oh, so very very cold
Dweezel was an idiot
Of this we know was true
For he tried to do something
That neither you nor I would do
He'd heard about the pink duckies
(Pink duckies of deathly doom)
And his pea brain lit up like a lamp
One evening in the gloom
"I shall go and parade in voting threads
I've heard they like lots of votes
But this I'll never, never do
And then think of how I'll gloat!
I'll run away before I can be seen
I'll leave a message to say
"I've bean heer, and I've gon againe
Here's won vote you won't kount tooday"
He did this once, twice, 4 times and more
Each time he went home delighted
Laughing all the way home with a roar
Whistling as he stepped thru his door
He was happy to see the pink duckies
Were even more dumb than he thought
Alas, if only he knew how wrong he was
He may never have been caught
The pink duckies were smart (did you think they were not?)
And they hatched a plan to discover
This false voter, this disrupter of threads
(And terrible speller moreover)
They travelled in a group of three you see
And at least Dweezel had the brain cell to know
Not to enter the threads until he could count for all three
(And there you thought his brain was all fluffy white snow)
But the duckies were clever
And they built a decoy
A balloon pink duckie of doom
And the lucky pink duckie who was chosen to wait
Sat silently, disguised in the gloom
When Dweezel went to the thread
And the pink duckie saw him arrive
He waited to see what he would do
His feathery fingers he nervously chew
The tension was mounting, his teeth where a-chatter
He saw Dweezel with the note...
BANG!
There was a great clatter
The pink duckie pounced
And Dweezel was thrown to the ground
He might struggle and moan
Gasp, splutter and groan
And upon the pink duckies head pound
But he was securely grasped
In the duckies vice like clasp
Oh, my what would Dweezel do now?
Well it's hard to say what happened next
But the few facts are these
Dweezel was never heard from again
And the duckies for some reason seemed pleased
One can only presume (and I think you know to)
That of Dweezel the duckies disposed
But as to how it actually happened
One would not really like to suppose
Take heed fair reader
As I've mentioned before
The duckies are not to be messed with
Whether you invade their threads
Or pass them by
You are always under their watchful eyes
Whether the moon is bright or the sun is high
Whether you know it or not
.... they are always nearby.....
