I have only been to one Winston Cup race and that was in Michigan in 2003. I have however been to many qualifying sessions and a few Busch races.

It is funny that one week ago it was so terrible that fans cheered when Kyle Busch fell out of the all star race, but now it seems to be alright to gloat over someone’s bad luck. Very interesting. Tony will regain far more fans by switching back to Chevy then he will lose by leaving JGR. I know of many former Stewart fans who would be very happy to have him back in an American car.
wel, Jr. fans cheered when Busch had problems so no, I don't think so. And I certainly don't want ANY driver, no matter how much I hate them, to be hurt in the sport because like me, they're human beings and I don't want any serious injuries to befall a driver simply because I hate them.
I dont' care WHAT kind of car Stewart drives, as long as it's at JGR.
and yeah, I went to the O'Reilly 300 at Texas; my first race ever and it was cool to see Busch win in person; he did a really awesome burnout too. I have video, if only I could get it uploaded.

Ah yes, but Jr fans cheer when anyone who can beat him has problems. I did not agree with them cheering when Busch fell out, and I still don't agree with everyone who cheers when Jeff or Jimmie has troubles. I can understand if you hate a driver, but is it really necessary to come out and say how great it was to see them have trouble. One would hope not.

I couldn't go to a 600 race. I'm doign good just to sit through a 200 lap race!
yeah, well, apparently it's excusable for any Jr, Gordon, or Johnson fan to boo any other competitor; but maybe Jr. fans need to understand the fact that Jr. isnt' winning races, isn't doing very well, and all-around can't drive so anyone who DOES beat him isn't dealing with tough competition, save in name and fame.

There is a difference between booing another driver and cheering when he has unfortunate luck.
I do agree with you about Jr. His fans always drove me crazy, still do.

Lol Yeah, I don't know what you guys think...but I always though that Jr. fans thought that they were better than everyone else

at least we can agree on THAT. And i hate it when they think that if anybody touches Jr, they should be penalized.
I didnt' get to see very much of the 600, but I heard that Jr. was penalized for a pit road violation; what was it and why was it rescinded?

Yeah I can see some of that. My biggest problem with them is that if you disagree with them in any way they will become completely nasty to you. I might become a Jr. fan, just due to his awesome personality, but unfortunately his fans have ruined him for me

Sorry about the double post. Jr's penalty was that he came down pit road too fast while a safety vehicle was on pit road. I guess NASCAR's first thought was that he endangered safety workers. They reviewed the tape and decided that he did not endanger anyone, so they did not penalize him.

Man that was unfortunate. He really had a shot at the win up till that point, but I guess everyone has to lose an engine every once in a while.
