Even if Jimmie didn't win..at least it was still a good end result
I think that Kahne is going to be a threat. I think I see a Sprint Cup in the nearby future.

Yeah still a good points day.
If he can continue the momentum, I think he has a shot. Hopefully he is not peaking too early though.

I agree, I hope he doesn't wear himself out. Or get too cocky about winning and stuff like some other people. I don't think he will though, Kasey has a good personality.

No, I don't see Kasey getting cocky. He is just not that type of person. The only concern I would have is if he is showing too much of his hand to early. The competition may go to work and get better than him during the Chase.

Yes, that is always a problem I was quite surprised to see Brian Vickers come in 2nd

Yeah he used a lot of strategy to get that spot. That team is starting to run better though, so it is not totally surprising.

I figured either Kahne or Hamlin would win. I didn't get to see the last of the race *good thing too, because if I had, I would've cussed.*
I can see the need for a pit road speed, but seriously; if somebody goes just five or ten miles over, can't you allow that???? It's not like Tony nearly ran over somebody like Biffle *I think it was Biffle* who nearly ran over his own crewmember. At least Hamlin had a good run; it was nice to see both him and Tony in one piece by the end of the race. Kinda was surprised at Busch's troubles though. I was afraid he'd have early peaking then it might go downhill but that was one weekend so maybe he'll have better luck.
but seriously, if Tony doesn't finish top five or win pretty soon, words might come out of my mouth that aren't nice. I don't get so frustrated if he finishes badly IF the car he had wasn't good. But the car seemed to get better and better yesterday and he finished 35th. Maybe he should leave JGR and go back to Chevy. I don't know what the deal is, but he needs to find out. I don't know if it's the tires, the car or something else but if he switches over to another team, and to be honest, I hate teh idea of him leaving JGR; the last two years haven't been very good ones for him, but I may as well just support Hamlin and Busch now.
oh my...did THOSE words come out of MY mouth? NASCAR just seems so much more boring this year than last. and I'm not referring to BUsch winning all the time or Stewart having so much bad luck; none of the races seem to be very exciting.
ok, this was sort of random and jumping from thing to thing, but seeing as how disgusted I am with NASCAR right now....

I agree Petra. I really am not very pleased with the quality of the racing right now. I think NASCAR has leveled the playing field to the point where everyone is so equal that there is no passing. I wish NASCAR would bring back the old car.

on that I can't agree more. I thought the old car racing was a little more exciting.

yeah really. I'm uploading my TMS video to tinypic so when it gets done I'll post it here.
EDIT: http://tinypic.com/usermedia.php?uo=M8r ... cQcg%3D%3D *sorry about the horrible quality and jumpiness; it was hard to focus my camera and keep it still due to my excitement. And we were sitting on the left-hand side of the finish line. not far from the dude who waved the green flag. *[/url]

Wow! That's pretty cool!
Have any of you ever met your drivers?

sadly no, not yet. however, when I can afford it and I'm old enough *which you have to be 18 or 21 to be in the pits* then I want to get a garage or pit pass. My sister though took this pic of Tony: http://tinypic.com/3i9zdfdv
he actually WASN'T looking exactly at her; he just happened to look in her direction and she snapped the pic. Tony also was about five feet in front of her and she got his back. She said that she was so excited to see him that closely that she nearly didn't get her camera out.
