Ah. Well, I suppose that'll be alright. I'll have to do a late intro, though. I leave sunday night and don't get back 'til the 20th.

I believe that the 20th is next week Friday, if I am not mistaken
Oh and Las, I assume that I can leave my character as a mage (just got a bit confused since I only have one bio and not two)?

Star Gazer, I will try to sum it up for you when you get back, or maybe someone else could *looks at Elenriel* since im not so great at summing up things. It's fine if you start out late.
Elenriel: yes.
*edited* Actually, we'll be able to start on Sunday, a day earlier!

Sure, your character can be a shapeshifter, though I'll wack you on the head anyway, lol. *wacks her on the head with a rubber chicken*
Let's get going, since we have enough characters now!

Lehcar stood in the back of the room, watching as the mayor of Ashtown stood on a wooden box and called for attention.
"Please! Please! Quiet everybody!" he continued when the crowd silenced, "As you might already know, this town meeting has been called because of the ghosts haunting the people in this area." he paused as murmuring spread across the room. "If you stay quiet, we might get this over quickly." the murmuring stopped. "The town council has decided something must be done about the phantoms. We have to watch our children day and night, and even though there is no war there is no peace. We must do something about this. This is why the council and myself have decided we will call forth volunteers. These volunteers will have to find the phantoms, help appease their spirits and do whatever is needed so their souls can rest in peace."
"Why should we do this for them? Why should we help them?" a man shouted. "We have lived with them for as long as I can remember."
"Then perhaps the men and women with children would like to show you how they feel about this." the mayor said, then beckoned to an old couple. "Mr. and Mrs. Farmer live in the outskirts of town. Do you have anything to say?"
Mr. Farmer nodded. "We worry for our children from since they were born. I have two sons, and a daughter. I constantly fear for their lives." he said, then sat down with his wife.
"Do you understand? Do we all agree something must be done?" everyone in the room nodded. "Good. I now ask for volunteers to do what needs to be done for the phantoms for them to stop haunting this town or any other place. Who shall be the first volunteer?"
Lehcar walked to the front of the room, then stood off to the side. Even though they couldn't see her, they could feel her, a cold gust of wind touched any she was near. She wanted to see who had enough guts to go to her. To actually worry about what happened to her. She had so many questions. Can they really help us? How will they help us? Do they understand what we've been through?

Celina shivered slightly as she felt the cold gust of wind and knew that at least one of the phantoms were among them. "I'll go," Celina said as she rose to her feet. She felt the gazes of her countrymen fall upon her, some of which she knew without looking were unfriendly eyes. Despite the many years she dwelt in the village-there were those who feared her because of her light magic. Throughout her life, she could hear their whisperings about her, and though it pained her, she grew accustomed to them. "We all need to have peace," she added. "The phantoms need to find their peace" she said with some emphasis. "No one deserves such a fate-to linger between life and death." she added more quietly.

Trinintiea laughed. Like they can help us, she though grimly. The pixy looking phantom scanned her black eyes over the crowd, making several people shiver, and shook her head, causing her long blond hair shimmer in a haunting way. Trin had been looking for rest for 15 years. A group of humans were not about to find a way. She had given up on humanatiy went the one she loved killed himself after her death. If there was any hope or justic in the world, he would have been able to join her as a phantom. At least Trin though so.

Vondell listened intently to the mayor of the town. Though he was not from the town, and had only been passing through at the time, he wanted to help these people. Being a bard, he was from a southern land and had been traveling. He had been playing at the local tavern when he overheard their problem, and decided to stay for the meeting. Seeing the worry on the faces of the people touched Von so much, he wanted to help.
Slowely he stood up as well, cautiouse glances were cast in his direction as he did so. Of course they wouldn't trust a bard right away that had only been around for a day or two.
"I shall help as well," he said, his voice solf and milky, with all the right ephasises on all the right words. "Seeing and hearing your troubles greatly moves me, and I wish to do what I can for you."

Teran had been holding his breath for a very long time. It was the only way to keep him from speaking and offering his assistance. As a shapeshifter, a foreigner, people mistrusted him the minute they heard his accent, the second they saw he didn't look like the people of thier land. Mistrust broke groups apart, no matter how strong or good willed thier intent. Still, Teran wanted to help these people. A strange, alien desire to aid those that scorned him flickered in his heart. He looked desperatly around the room, as if he hoped an answer were written on the wall.
"I shall help as well" A man suddenly said. "Seeing and hearing your troubles greatly moves me, and I wish to do what I can for you." By his accent Teran could tell this man was from the south.
Maybe diversity isn't so bad a small, ration part of his brain thought.
Teran opened his mouth, and then closed it, biting his tongue. If diversity wasn't so bad, why did people stare? Why did they whisper as he passed by? The last town he lived in, he had been ostrisized for showing his true self, for shifting his shape. He now couldn't even allow people to know what he was for fear of seclusion.
Still, the temptation to join.....
Teran filled his starved lungs with air. He stood up and spoke
"I will aid you in whatever way possible. Just tell me how, and I will do it"

Lehcar nodded to Trinintiea in greeting. She looked around at the unfamiliar faces. There was a glimmer of hope somewhere deep inside, but she tried to push it from her mind. After fifteen years, searching for a way, these strangers couldn't possibly found what she hadn't in what time they were giving the phantoms.
Lehcar looked at the newest volunteer to join. She hadn't seen him around here. She sensed something different about him. Lehcar shook her head. Even if someone's different, it doesn't mean they'll be any help.
((What's diversity, Nauriel?))

(Diversity is like being different, or a variety, Las.)
Vondell glanced at the third volenteer. He wasn't from here from his accent. Just like him. But there was more there than what was seen, thought Von. He would talk to him later, maybe. Now he needed to turn to the problem at hand...

((Yeah, what Eru said. If there were a fruit basket full of just red apples, that wouldn't be very diverse. But if that fruit basket had apples, pineapples, bananas, melon, oranges, mango, papaya, star fruit, rasberries, tomatoes, ect, that would be very diverse.
That's just my long, over extended example. See what happens when you hit people over the head with rubber chickens?! ))
