well, I for one was\am disappointed at the race results. I think somebody made a bad pit call on Tony's part; I'm pretty sure he could have made it to the rain delay without a pit, and if that had happened, he would have gotten the race. I honestly don't think somebody like Ku. Busch didn't really deserve that win. I felt like somebody who had raced for it *Gordon, Johnson, Stewart* should have gotten it but I guess we can't change the rules of NASCAR. :annoyed:

on the Montoya\BUsch thing: I agree. I missed some of the wreck but the announcers said it was intentional. but at least BUsch hit Montoya back when he was spinning out. ;)

I would also be lying if I said that I was pleased with the results. Unfortunately all the front runners were just plain out strategized. I also agree that the leaders could have made it to the rain, without having to pit, if the race had run exactly the same. If there had been one less caution, I think the race would have had time to finish, which would have forced the leaders to have pitted under green. I believe this is why the crew chiefs brought their drivers down pit road, because they did not think that that many cautions would come out at the end. It was just an all around bad deal for the leaders.

Yeah, and I just learned that Montoya was penalized two laps for it. I find that a fair call. ;)

well I hate Montoya anyway *I think he's reckless and an idiot because he always blames others for his problems* so anytime he gets taken out I rejoice. :p He's one driver I absolutely HATE to see succeed because of his attitude; he never takes responsibility for his own actions.

this nascar video just illustrates how much of an idiot Montoya really is: http://www.nascar.com/video/cup/2008/06 ... ewReleases

if it doesn't work, go to nascar.com, select the Tony Stewart video, go to Most Popular in that window, then select Two Sides to Every Story.

Yeah, I couldn't agree more about Montoya. He always seems to blame everyone else for all the problems. I just wish he would step up and take responsibility for his actions some times. Anyways I am happy NASCAR penalized him for his stupidity.

Ah, yes that is the video of the interview from the telecast. When they showed that interview I was shocked at how blatant and stupid Montoya acted. :annoyed2:

I missed it because I figured that since Busch won, there was no point in watching the rest of it. :annoyed2:

Ah, I see. It was worth watching it, just to see that interview.

yeah I guess it should but sometimes I hate the race schedule because if it starts at 1:30 or later I miss the end usually. :annoyed:

Yeah, I wish NASCAR would start the races at 12:30 or 1:00 like they used to. If they had done that on Sunday, they would have been able to get the whole thing in.

well after Tony got out of the race car tonight, I stopped watching but my dad said that I should watch the end, so I did. needless to say, that was very exciting! *and I find it odd that Edwards wrecked Gordon; haven't seen that happen in a long while.* the end was very close, and I commend Kyle Busch on keeping ahead of Edwards and winning the race...so

CONGRATS TO KYLE BUSCH AND HIS #18 INTERSTATE BATTERIES TEAM, AND TO JOE GIBBS RACING!

Well where to start off. Words can not describe how frustrated I am right now. To have Jeff and Jimmie each have cars that could have won the race, and then for both of them to get wrecked in the final laps and finish 30th and 23rd is beyond anger. I could just about strangle Carl Edwards right now. I understand it was a racing deal, but when is luck ever going to turn around. It seems like every time I even start getting remotely excited something stupid happens. I am just purely disgusted right now. Just a bad points day, a bad finish to the race, everything. :explode: :explode:

I do admit the race was exciting, just the finish has put a bad taste in my mouth. The ending was completely terrible. :annoyed:

welcome to the Stewart fans' world.. I feel so bad for Tony; to have a possible winning car and it finishes 20th because he got sick; so disappointed with that.

Yeah I know what you mean. It is just incredibly frustrating to have Jeff spun from second on the last two laps though. I hope Chicago is better. :)

Yeah I was surprised that he got out of the car, and I was even more surprised that Gibbs put in JJ Yeley. I mean at least get a driver that could potentially win the race. I guess it was their best pick though, especially given the fact that Yeley kind of already drives a car for Gibbs.

yeah I was disappointed at the finish. Not only does that ruin it for Stewart, who was already having a bad day, but it also might be the difference between being in the Chase and being on the outside looking in.

Now...I always try to be optimistic with Tony's performances, but he's not won a SINGLE race this year. AT ALL! He's had great success in the Nationwide series *Not sure why though* but his Cup luck is just either running out or not there at all. I want him to win another Cup before *if* he leaves Gibbs; but if he doesn't start winning like every other week, he won't make it. It'll be like last year; he wasn't even hardly a contender for the Cup. He was just in the Chase...finishing I think in either 11th or 12th in points. I can see, however, Kyle going for the Cup, and possibly getting it or at least finishing the season 2nd or 3rd in points.

I love Stewart; and I'll support him in nearly anything, but he should stay at Gibbs. He's good in the car he's in right now; in the place he's in right now. I think Gibbs needs him. and I don't want the Tony\Zippy friendship to end either. I think it's so great with the two of them together; they seem to work so well and they seem to know what to do to win or at least do well in a race.

I don't care what make of car he drives. That's not important to me; what is important is the team. I completely support JGR because I think that Joe Gibbs is a good man, a good Christian, and somebody Stewart definitely needs to be around. He has pretty good business sense *who would've really stuck with Stewart all this years???? lol* and I just respect him and J.D. If Stewart should leave Gibbs for ANY OTHER TEAM, even a owner-driver team, I will pack all my Stewart stuff up, and start fully supporting Denny and Kyle. My sister's said the same; and she's a HUGE STewart fan. Besides, if he gets a new number and sponsor, the Stewart stuff we have now won't do us much good. :annoyed:
