I love your siggy. I think I will put that in mine.
I did the same as you, tossing some of my last graphics up before the stroke of midnight, and, I am now vigorously working to finish the contests and count up everything.

Haha, you had quite a load on your shoulders Smeag and you still found time to make hundreds of graphics, incredible!!!
I just had to put that in my sig and feel free to steal it ^^
Good luck with voting and putting things together, and Saira you do have quite some work on your hands...
I like how everyone is putting random bits of the cookoff into their avatars and signatures!!

Well.. there were a ton of graphics.. I am sure everyone is going to speak of how they slacked off here and there... I, honestly, did not make anything all day Saturday, and, that night, only made the 15 awards... then, today, didn't do anything until 11PM, and crammed a little too much into that timeframe.

I don't think I did anything yesterday either... losst my muse, and then the last half hour I needed to make my post even, like Aliana I am a bit OCD with evenness and crammed all ten graphics in or however many in 30 min!

DONE!
Holy
*dies*
It's over!
*keels over dead*
I had a tonne of fun, no doubt about it.
But it consumed my life...
And as for cars?
I'm never getting in one for the rest of my life, I'll walk, or take public transport if I have to.
I hardly did anything yesterday, and I was forcing myself to work today. It was so lovely outside.. I just wanted to sit out there and read... But noooo.
Oh well.
And I have 50 minutes to spare.

Wow. It's over.
I'll admit I made probably half of my graphics over the last two days. Yes, I just about killed myself. Yes, it was glorious.
Despite work, school, family commitments, and Univeristy registration, I managed to make all those graphics... and even though I didn't make near as many as some of the others, I am satisfied with myself because I know that I have "won" in my mind. I managed to make a lot of bad graphics, a few good ones, even with everything else going on in my life... and that's enough for me. Also, I have learned some new techniques and developed my style. And it was just plain fun!

I'm actually kinda sad that its done. I only had 2 days to catch up with you guys and it was fun (even though I didn't make it by a long shot).... I wish I could have made more, or at least had more time but it was fun. we should totally do this again.
^^and about learning to be better and get new skills, I think it worked pretty well for me, seeing as I'm working off of a computer I've never used before with no access to any of my past work or fonts or textures or pictures or anything...... which was lame, but it was fun starting over all over again. I suggest it for everyone.

I am soooo happy to hear what everyone got out of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't really know if the time affected anything, really. I didn't make practically anything the last two/three days, and, for the others, I would stuff bagillons of graphics into like 5 hours.
Personally, I have learned to make graphics REALLY fast through this. Pressure, as JF said, helps a lot, and the ability of experiment because you aren't considered about winning an award for 90% of the stuff is really cool.
All I need to wait on are the votes for the daily challenges to come in. Then everything will be done.
Any improvements for next year?

I had a lot of fun too, I explored my favorite new idea, using the paint brush to make lines of three different colours on my wallpapers and blends. Both of which I've never had any fun making because I'm so terrible at it. Now I'm quite happy to make either one of them, because I can use this new technique which I've never seen on anyone's graphics before and add a "Darky Twist" to it.
I thought the whole thing went very smoothly, I can't see any changes to it, it's perfect the way it is. If I'm here next year, I will most definatly join again.
