Blaidri shook his head at this absurd situation and continued running after the Paled. He knew he would have a difficult time keeping up with the half feline. "Riannon, you don't have to wait for us." He called, knowing the lithe woman could easily out take him in a forest pursuit. She smiled viciously and sprang ahead. Moments later she shouted. "Over here! This way!" Blaidri thought she might have caught the Paled, but as he crossed the remenants of the battle field he saw two blurs- one was the Paled, trailed closely by Riannon.

Tika stiffened as she heard the womans words, thanks to her keen ears. She knew the two could have issues, esecially Gareth, they were a good team. Getting up she walked over to them. "I feel as if I must aplogize for not telling you what I was earlier."

Xavier nodded, and watched Alena ride off out of sight through the trees. It was getting dark, so he had to hurry to take care of the bodies. Searching the forest around the glade, he found a deep sinkhole. Already it had the bones of a deer that had fallen in there and had not been able to get out. So Xavier threw the bodies in there, but not after he picked items off them that could be of some use. Then he threw leaves from the surrounding ground to cover the bodies.

Back in the glade, he quickly erased evidence that anyone was ever there, and started off for his tribe...

Alena glanced at Tika in surprise, not knowing what to say. "It's alright," she said after a long moment of silence, yet her words were forced. "Forgive me, it may just take awhile for me get used to having a paled in camp," she added.
Gareth glanced at Tika but said nothing, feeling a slight betrayal at her keeping her secret. He knew it was wrong for him to feel as he did-the woman saved him several times after all, but years of habits were hard to break and now he found himself wrestling with both his fondness of her and his hatred that he felt for all of her kind.

"I had met the human whe we were children, I got lost and wandered into a human camp, he saw me and despite that I was a paled, he led me back, we saw wach other now and then, but lost contact after I became the kings assain." "Tika laughed dryly. "I don't remeber his name."

Alena and Gareth said nothing for a long while and the silence seemed to hang heavily on the threesome.

Alena nodded at her words. "You are not the only one who has a score to settle with the king." she told her quietly. "I hold the Paled king responsible for the death of our parents as well as friends who were slaughtered in senseless combat"

Kai-Larr dismounted Talyn and let him graze and rest. It had been a long hard day, and the night had closed in so fast she had barely noticed the dark sky littered with stars. Twinkling like diamonds on black cloth. She walked over to Talyn and gave him a friendly pat on the side before taking a small satchel of provisions and sat down next to him. Unpacking it slowly, she placed the items out in front of her. Some bread, some cheese and a flask with water. It wasn't much, but it was all she could muster in such short notice and would be sufficient to refresh her.

Leaning back slightly and stretching her legs out in front of her. She took a long sip of the water and exhaled satisfied. Tearing off some bread and some cheese from her pack she ate. Almost content in the silence and the darkness. It was so peaceful and so serene.
"Beautiful isn't it, Talyn" she mused almost happily. She was no longer under the Kings watchful eye and she felt free. For the first time since she was very young and enjoying stolen nights alone outside the Palace.

Taking off her long leather coat, she pulled it over herself and lay down to rest. Pretty soon she felt her eyes becoming heavier and heavier, till she no longer had the strength to keep them open.

Tika nodded. "After my friends death, my eyes were opened to all that the was doing to humans. It made me sick, so I waited for more people to rise up, niot the few rebels that were aound before."

Aryann watched silently, horror and fear taken over.

The group traveled quickly, Aryann checked the stars to make sure they were going the right way. She nodded to herself, they were almost there. She slowed as they came to the edge of a clearing. There stood the village, there stood their rival tribe. She beckoned to one of the warriors behind her. He took the horn strapped to his belt and lifted it to his lips. The deep, almost unnatural sound instantly woke the village. Aryann looked to her sister. Kaylee's face was pale from fear. Aryann wished she could tell her to go back, but she knew she wouldn't listen.
