^I love your banner, Eru :D

Did anyone notice how the ending of AWE connected back to the beginning of CotBP? He was in the boat at the end and same as the beginning of Pirates 1. It went in a loop.

And I agree again, Eru, it did feel like the last two were being forced on us just because we wanted more. If I had known the others weren't going to satisfy me, I wouldn't mind waiting years for them to make a good squel that actually satisfied me. :-D It seemed like they rushed them too much and lost that 'magic touch' that CotBP had.

I did think that was interesting.. but it wasn't the same boat, I believe, and he had a pirate flag this time.

AWE was pretty good. I actually really didn't like it when I saw it, but I thought over it.. and I liked it. Here is how my annoying movie watching goes:

If I am sooo wanting a movie to come to the theater, I put REALLY REALLY high standards on it. So, when I watch it, I don't like it at all. Then, I have really low standards. So, when I watch it again, I love it! In time, it evens out to how I actually feel about the movie.

that's a lot like how I was with AWE... in fact it's almost the exact same

Wow! you guys like CotBP more then the other two? Well... um... I definitely like DMC and AWE better (other then AWE's end which I didn't care for at all) But by far I loved the stories and the way the characters were sooo much better in DMC and AWE...

And the movies seemed forced to you guys? Hmmm, maybe a little but not much... forced movies are like if they made another Pirates. Now that seems forced to me... at least they had a very good story to tell in DMC and AWE. But that's just my two cents :P

We'll miss you sarien!!!

Thanks Cendra Serindë I just gave Aerlinn the idea and she did all the work...all the credit goes to her for how wonderful it looks..

When i say i thought the other two were forced i didn't mean the whole films..I just meant at times, with SOME, not all, of the humor. Sometimes it just seemed like they were pushing too hard.

My reasoning for choosing CotBP over the other two was because of the film as a whole, the beginning, middle , and end all fit perfectly.

as opposed to AWE where i absolutely hated the ending(sorry but I did) and AWE was wonderful until the ending, which wasn't really an ending it was a HUGE cliff hanger I hated that...if they had ended DMC differently that one would have been my all time favorite but i dispise endings like the one they provided...my humble opinion.

Actually, I love them all, but I thought that COTBP was a classic, but AWE was just the best all around, but I still liked DMC just because of Davy Jones and the kraken....so i don't know...:teehee: I liked them all! :)

you're right At World's End's ending wasn't very good... I guess I didn't mind Will and Lizzie's ending ('cause at least they did get to be together forever after ten years as the final scene at the end of the credits shows) but I really didn't like Jack and Barbossa's ending. Sorry, but for some reason (to me) it's just too much like CotBP. also AWE took a huge turn for the worse when they killed Norrie off... I mean I can deal with it and at least they had him die being heroic and doing the right thing and all but really was it only me or did it seem a little... sudden? I mean like all of a sudden they realized they needed to kill someone so they wrote it down and did it.... he was there and then he wasn't. But I guess all in all I can deal with that let down in AWE since there were soooo many other good parts. Oh, and was I the only one let down with how they handled the whole Tia turning into Calypso thing? that whole scene was just... weird.

Anyway, they were all still great movies (or maybe you should really think of DMC and AWE as one, long movie since that's really what they were sorta meant to be) and definitely worthy of being called at least the second best trilogy (only to LotR). ;) :-D

I was happy there were two more, but I just felt like they were too unbelieveable. I mean, Davy Jones and the Kraken were cool... but the fish people? Yeah, not so much.

And I agree with the Calypso thing - it was... strange for lack of a better word. But Tia is still one of my fav. characters and I was glad Scarlett and Giselle were back in the third one.

Norrington's death made me cry, but Will's didn't, which is very strange. In my own opinion he should have pushed Elizabeth in front of him. Sorry if that sounds mean, but that's how I really feel. I loved her in the first movie, but I felt that they ruined her character in the 2nd and 3rd.

^That's what's so fun about PotC! it's a trip for the imagination! :) where you can believe the unbelievable :P

I liked Tia as well. She was so strange and interesting but the way they handled her turning into Calypso was :yuck:

Ooo, I'm sorry you feel that way about Elizabeth... she's not really one of my top faves but I did enjoy her a lot more in AWE and DMC... to me she seemed too whiny and girly in CotBP.

Yeah, I didn't really cry when Norrie died but his death did leave me sitting there speechless and staring for a time.

^^ I wasn't too happy about how they turned Tia into Calypso. I dunno it just didn't do it for me.

I am wondering if they are going to be having trouble with Calypso in the fourth movie.

@PD- Nice quoting of Jack. That is one of my favorite lines in all three of them!

Do you think that, if they make one, they will even have her in it?

I think it might.. the seas could be rougher, and they mention her name or something.

Hmm, I think that part of the story is over... no more Calypso/Jones in my opinion, but I'm not really the person to ask about that sort of stuff. I just go along with what's thrown my way. :pirate:
