That happens to a lot of movies made out of books  I haven't read the Eragon books yet but I am as soon as I get my hands on them, lol.
Anyway...The trick is to see it like a whole diffrent thing..like it's inspiration comes from the books _________________

Yeah.. It's why it's so hard to do adaptations. LotR was a good one though.. 
The books are excellent.. you'll really like them if you liked the movie

Yes, I believe it's male. He was pretty cool, yeah. I liked how they ended it on that note, it leads into an Eldest movie well.
