Airain let out a long laugh.
"Oh please, spare me. I do not fear the guards of Aragorn, they could not catch me if they even wanted to...." Airain drew back her sword from the girl’s neck and sheathed it.
"I'm not going to kill you, girl. It would be a waste of my time, and a word from the wise...one so young as you has much to live for, maybe you should not be so cavalier about death. Have you ever killed a person, my friend? You do not know what it feels like. So don't speak of death like you know something about it. Oh and by the way..don't threaten me again." Airain glanced up at her.
"So, where are you heading? You should not dawdle long."

Radiel sighed relieved as the stranger sheathed her sword. She didn't stop glaring at her, though. "Don't talk to me as if I were a small child!" she said, attempting to act older than her actual age. "Because I'm not." She ignored her lecture of death. No, she had never killed a person. But Radiel was sure in her heart, that nothing scared her. Or that was what she wanted herself to believe, at the least.
Radiel kept an eye on the stranger, then spoke again. "Rohan." She did not trust the stranger, but found no harm in telling her about where she was going. "I am heading to Rohan." She grabbed her pack, checked the content and swinged it over her shoulder. "Oh, and I do not threat people unless they give me a reason to. No, that was a plain statement of fact."

"Oh, my apologies...I have forgotten that you are only a few thousand years younger than me." Airain spoke with sarcasm dripping from her voice like venom.
"Rohan? Well then, I suggest we get moving." Airain turned from the girl and started walking away. She didn't even bother looking behind her as she said, "Well, come on. Please, let's get moving." She soon heard the soft footsteps of the girl running up behind her to get into step with her.

The sun had begun to rise. Red clouds drifted by, while birds started chirping. Radiel just followed, trying to keep up with the stranger's pace, surprised to learn this. "You're an Elf?" She exclaimed. "But..." she frowned, confused as she was. "I thought all the Elves had passed over the Sea!"

"Well, obviously not. Some did infact stay, but you are right..not many did. Most of them all set sail for Valinor, never to return.." Airain stopped and looked to the girl.
"Tell me, what is your name?"

"Radiel" she replied. Radiel didn't exactly know what was going to happen now. Would this Elf lead her to Rohan? She had been told that Elves were amazing creatures, mostly kind-hearted. The only Elf she had ever seen, however, was Arwen Undomiel, wife of King Elessar. But she didn't know whether to trust this one, or not. Their start hadn't gone off very well. She sighed softly. "And yours, if I may ask?"

Airain looked at Radiel. She wondered why she had even stopped to help this girl on her way, perhaps because she was bored. Day in and day out she would wander this world pondering the simple question of if she should have gone to Valinor. There was truly nothing left for her in Middle-earth, which is why she wondered if she should have stayed. She had seen all of this world, from the mines deep below where the dwarves delved into the earth, to the forests where the Elves used to live in peace and harmony, to the great kingdoms of men, and even to the places where evil slept in utter darkness and silence waiting for a chance to break free. So, yes, this girl was the only thing to amuse her at the moment, but perhaps there was more to her than met the eye. Only time could tell...
"Airain Aldarion." Airain replied as she was finally flung from her thoughts and back into reality.

After a nights rest the group packed away the various items used during the night. The fire was extinguished and the dwarves and Rinkemen got onto the carts. Rinkemen took one look back behind him. He was so sure...He shook his head and lit his pipe.
"Well then Borum let us go onward!"

Radiel reached into her mind of memories. "Airain?" she said, not intended as a question, even if it might have sounded as such. I reconize that name, she thought. Radiel knew that she had never seen the elf before, but the name rang a clear bell. As much as she wanted to remember, though, she couldn't.
The two continued their journey.

Borum laughed slightly since he was in a good mood because the warqs had kept away.
"What would I do?"
Borum climbed on to the carts and his cousin whipped the leashed, the convoy moved onwards and Borum also took out his pipe.
"Weren`t you a scholar Rinkemen? If so then tell me about what it`s like to be a respected and a wise man..."

He chuckled, choking slightly on his pipe smoke. He eventually coughed out an answer.
"Well I guess...Excuse me."
Rinkemen eventually stopped coughing to the amusement of the other dwarves.
"Well I wouldn't say I'm the wisest man but I have a lot of knoweldge. Sometimes I forget it by reading up on other historical events. As for respect, I am respected by my students and their parents but some have a different view on myself..."
He smoked his pipe again and smiled at Borum.
"However your race has always interesed me. Your vast halls in Moria and Erebor. I have looked in almost every book in the Minas Tirith Libary but there is little history on your people. Something I would like to remedy if you would provide me with some information?"

Rhavaniel turned her head intreseted "Yes, spill somelight on youre famous dwarf-women. I have heard things-but not much..." she grinned in a friendly way. But her eyes told a different story : You hide something from me, Borum Bronzefist. I will find out eventually, but it would be nicer if you told me out of free will...

The sunlight coming through the window woke Liran up. He blinked a little, getting used to the brightness, yawned and stretched. The night had been long and full of merriment, but he had hoped he would not be awoken so early. After staring at the ceiling for a few minutes, he got up, washed his face in the icy water of the washbasin, and pulled on his clothes. He opened the window and looked out. The street was already bustling with activity, a few soldiers marching to the lower levels, shopkeepers getting ready for the day, some children chasing after a hoop. Liran smiled and after gathering his belongings, opened the door and walked down the hall to the common room.
As he reached the bottom of the stairs, he glanced through the room. It was mostly empty, a few people were eating breakfast and.. and there was one of the girls who had listened to him so intently the morning before. He raised an eyebrow in suprise, and was about to sit at a table, but as soon as she caught sight of him, she lept up with such a light in her eyes he almost took a step back.

The moment he walked through the door, Rowen was upon him.
"Sir!" she said, all apprehension gone and anger taking over, "explain yourself!" When this produced no answer, she tried again.
"The innkeeper had just finished telling me that there was no Alyan staying here, and you walk through the door! I suppose you wanted to avoid us?â€

"I am sorry, but I am not much of a historian all tough I know it and besides we dwarwes like to keep it to our own business... no offense you are a great lad and all, but we dwarwes aren`t yet ready to reveal these thing I believe. I mean I would tell you, but some of my lads here don`t really like men except those of Dale so no hard feelings..."
Borum looked at Rhavaniel quickly and turned back, he began to speak to her with his eyes on the road.
"So.. what do you elves generally think of dwarwes?"

"Not well, no...For a long while now, we avoid dwarfs, speaking with them only if we need to. An old forgotten feud." Rhavaniel smiled quickly to Borum, then turned back to the raod, patting her horses neck "I have nothing agaist dwarfs. They are...let me say, differant to elves. But not all the unknown is bad. You know more when it comes to mining I say, while I to....singing or something like that...No evil has truely come of youre kind.""
