I liked it a lot. It wasn't the straightforward courtroom drama I had been led to believe it was over the years, but I still enjoyed it. :D

Good job, my dear, why didn't you sell the concept to the Academy people yet? :-)

i don't know why i haven't. i should really get onto that. i could at least come up with a decent number of categories and set up some film awards on the forum...

i just came back from watching the curious case of benjamin button. to be honest, i was bored. plus, the film's over-reliance on voice-over really irritated me - if a story needs that much narration to work, film is not the right medium.
i loved cate blanchett though - not only is she the most gorgeous woman in the world and a fantastic actress, but apparantly she's also a beautiful dancer. i am insanely jealous!

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End ~ my goodness. :stun: I had sadly forgotten how completely epic this movie is… Pirates in general is. Not to mention there are SO many wonderful memories tied to this movie in particular. Like, more than any of the other fandoms I’ve been in. Ever. So it was like re-visiting old friends and good times sorta. And I missed them. It was genius… still is. Just… I am always blown away whenever I see it. :swoon: utterly epic. I am reminded why I fell in love with it in the first place. It is easily one of the greatest movies of our time.... arguably the greatest movie period in the last 10 years. That and LotC, of course. ;)

You should do that... at least make an award show on A-U. T'would be fun! :-)
And thanks for the review on Benjamin Button... I've been really excited about this movie for a while, mainly because of its presumed interesting plot, but lately I've been disappointed of what I've heard...

^ I read all about it on Wiki... and it sounds downright boring actually. Not to mention I was sick of hearing about it every 5 minutes. Didn't improve my mood I can tell you. :P

A History of Violence - I saw it for the first time and I think I liked it. A lot of Viggo, but why so little Ed Harris?

Monkey Business - Cary Grant and Ginger Rogers! :notworthy: And Marily Monroe was actually pretty good for once. ;)

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Utterly amazing, as always. I am in a huge PotC mood right now... Norrie and Beckara, and, and... AAAAHH! I love it so much that obsessed doesn't begin to describe how I feel about it. Plus, my cousin and I were also playing my At World's End video game earlier, so naturally I want to immerse myself in all things pirates...

I probably sound like a twit right now, but I cannot help how much my love for these movies has blossomed in the past day or so. Huzzah for DMC! :pirate:

I'm also watching Return of the King right now, on TNT... they're doing that LotR movie marathon. I love them for helping to keep the fandom alive. <33
