HOW! The Book Thief is amazing! Death has such a wonderful pov, and the way that he tells the story, it's just... so Deathly! That's exactly how I imagined Death to talk... Not all normal like ourselves, but a little bit more.... uncertain, and less clear with how he/she/it sees the world. The unique way in which Death tells the story is what makes it such an amazing book. It's hardly pretentious, and it's clever because that's how Death would talk. And never judge it until you've read it the whole way through... Once you get the full efect...
On that note, I am reading The Book Thief.

^ i presume that post was aimed at me. i know i can't pass any final judgement on the book without having finished, but that's not what i was doing. i was simply saying that i didn't like what i read and i wasn't going to force myself to keep reading. fair enough if you like it, but it just wasn't for me.
i've just started scoop by evelyn waugh.
