Finished Skin by Ted Dekker a little while ago, and now I'm reading The Golem's Eye by Jonathan Stroud. I pretty much love Bartimaeus

(Re-)reading Lord of the Flies by William Golding
I remember it being one of the first books that really made an impression on me, it was quite disturbing back then so finally I found the courage to pick it up again! :-)

Just finished the Night Angel Trilogy by Brent Weeks.

Verdict: The only reason I didn't put it down due to some pretty R-rated material was because Weeks is a plot maestro. Nothing is insignificant, no detail is not plot relevant, and he adds shocking revelations at every turn. There's a whole host of POV characters, and all their personal stories ultimately tie in to the plot. Definitely a resounding success as a sword-and-sorcery fantasy. I don't recommend it if you're not okay with the explicit content, though - I skimmed some parts to avoid it. Also, a fair sprinkling of F-bombs.

Anyway, I am now on The Case Against Barack Obama by David Freddoso, subtitled "The Unlikely Rise and Unexamined Agenda of the Media's Favorite Candidate." I saw it on a shelving truck while I was working (at the library) and my curiousity got the better of me.

Reading The Queen of Attolia by Megan Whalen Turner. It's starting out very good, but I probably won't have time to finish it before I have to take it back to the library. Drat.

I quite like it but I wish it was more on just Cleopatra. I think it goes little too far from the main point too often. Never read her books before.

Started and finished The Crucible by Arthur Miller today. Well it's actually a play, not a book, but it's very interesting; it takes place during the Salem Witch Hunts/Trials in the Massachusetts. I believe this is the first play that I've read that I actually enjoyed very much. It's pretty twisted though.

A lot of it is inaccurate though. Trust me, I would know. Take it from someone who is from the Salem area.
