The Uninvited - Not a huge horror movie fan but since this was made by the maker(s) of Disturbia I thought it would be ok. And it was. I was pretty impressed with it over all. More of a thriller than a horror which is completely fine with me. And the twist at the end was amazing! Not as good as Disturbia was (IMO) but still well done. This is how I prefer my "horror" movies. To walk the fine line and be leaning towards the thriller side of things. ;)

Bride Wars - haha, this was awesome! :P Very predictable and the typical "girly" movie, but I still enjoyed the light fluffy feel good-ness of it. I liked it. :D

X-Men Origins: Wolverine - umm, well, it was good. But, I dunno. I found myself thinking about LOST through half of it. Go figure. It probably wasn't that smart to go the night after the season 5 finale - I still had it running through my head. That and it didn't help that Keamy and Charlie from LOST were in it. but yeah, besides that it was good. Umm, I dunno, maybe I had set my hopes too high on it... or maybe it's the fact that I've only seen The Last Stand. (though my friend said she was going to have to let me borrow the first two) :erm: Perhaps if I saw it again I would get more out of it then just lots of action, big booms, ect. :P Gambit was sorta cool though. And Wolverine was ok himself. :) All in all, it was an alright movie. Sorta cool to see how it all started. Sorry... not a fanatical review or anything. I really do like the over all idea of X-Men. I really do. But... I dunno.

Phoenix:: Yeah... I didn't like the book either because it was like a movie script, and there were so many unbelievable scenes *coughmanjumpingfromahelicoptercough* so I had high expectations to the movie... but alas..
And Ewan MacGregor... He did the most decent job but... really he's been better! :-)

Anyway, just watched Hairspray... great music, boring characters... yeah, I'm old and grumpy like that and impossible to please it seems! :teehee:

Angels and Demons
(I've been fan of Dan Brown before the Da Vinci Code movie, just so you know. Not a bandwagon jumper)

SPOLIERS

It was pretty amazing, I like this movie better than the Da Vinci Code (might have something to do with the explosions and all the action), but I prefer the Da Vinci Code book to the Angels and Demons book.
Tom Hanks was amazing as usual, and Ron Howard is now one of my favorite directors (also having done DVC and Apollo 13, which also has Tom Hanks and is one of my favorite movies). So yeah, a stellar combination, and Stellan Skarsgard was also awesome as Richter (who was not in the book). And then Olivetti was AMAZING, I hated him in the book (like as in love to hate), but I REALLY loved him in the movie. He was a little lighter and a little funnier.
As for staying true to the book, most of it deviated, but the essential themes were there (duh), and some of the refrences from the DVC. I did not like the fact that they made it after the DVC, because technically A&D was before the DVC, but whatever.
As for Ewan's character being IRISH and CHANGING HIS NAME, I was very annoyed. As much as I love his acting, I believed that the camerlengo especially should stay true to the book. Especially him finding out that the Pope was his father, it wasn't really essential, but I would have preferred to see it stay in the movie.
The music was amazing as always, and I loved the DVC themes that Hans brought back. I also noted some themes from the Dark Knight, which was very nice. The music is fantastic, and I'm going to buy the soundtrack ASAP.
But overall, I really enjoyed it, Ron did a very good job, and I was awesomeified by Tom's acting.

Star Trek - 'twas a fantastic way to waste two hours and six minutes, and I'm still in awe of how quickly they pull the audience in with the opening scene. O_O My sister watched it with me and actually teared up at the collision.

X-men Origins: Wolverine - I watched it for the second time, and it was great again. A little too much blue screen without fantastic CGI, and there was a weird fast-forward special effect thing going on, but Logan, Cyclops, Deadpool, Sabretooth, Gambit, and Kayla all more than made up for it. When it comes out on DVD, I'm SOOOO getting it. :D

Like everyone else said, very intense and amazing and I think I may have to jump on the Zachary Quinto bandwagon.
