Why the first half, you ask? Well, it's an American action movie. And like all American action movies, there comes a point where inevitably what happens is the American hero wins and unless I like the American hero (and in most cases, I don't), it becomes boring so I stop watching. Especially when on the opposing end is the sophisticated British villain who is more charismatic than the American hero that you naturally root for the villain.
Seriously, just finish it. If for nothing else, Alan Rickman. And the novelty of Bruce Willis running around barefoot.
I've watched lots of movies.
But off the top of my head, "Children Of Men".
"Enchanted"
"Paper Moon"
"Ocean's Twelve"
Which I've never seen before, but good. Matt Damon is so ridiculously funny.

"That Thing You Do!"
Both were on TV the other day and both I haven't seen in AGES. And BOTH were epic and as brilliant as ever. WIIIIIIN.

"A Serious Man"
I had no idea what it was about, and it was still a little ... as my mom put it, Fargo-ish - but that's the Coen brothers for ya. XD It was a great movie though. I mean brilliant on every level. And why it didn't win for original screenplay is beyond me. Because believe me when I say that was one of the most original films I've seen in a loooooong time.

You go watch A [s]Simple[/s] Single Man and not Alice In Wonderland when you had the chance???
So I take it you're recommening it... but is it worth the $14 bucks to go watch it in the movie theatre? Or can I wait for the DVD.

No, I watched "A SERIOUS Man." Completely different, believe me. (At least, I would assume so) About a Jewish man and his family and all that jazz. REAAAAALLY good. A little odd, but it's a Coen bros. film. Go figure. And my mom rented it. I think my mom meant to rent "A Single Man" with teh Colin Firth, but we ended up with that. Which was fine because the one we watched was uber good. Is "A Single Man" still in theatres? (I honestly have no idea) I'll probably wait til it comes out on DVD, only because I'm cheap. I would recommend both, even though I haven't seen the one with Colin Firth.

"The Hurt Locker"
Wow. That was intense. I'm not sure if it was best picture good, but it was good. And damn, if that Jeremy Renner isn't a fine lookin' man. XD But seriously, good movie.

Ohh.. oh... A Serious Man... I know that.. actually wanted to see it... I loved the last couple of Cohen movies.
Can't people come up with more descriptive titles that preferably are a little easier to remember too? But... Colin Firth is in both??? So confusing...
Yeah, A Single Man just opened here like.. a week or two ago.
