"Pretty In Pink"

I will never get over the atrocity that Blane is chosen over Duckie. For me, it just ... gah! :P

But that I can deal with.

What I can't deal with is the destruction of such a gorgeous dress. *headdesk* TRAGEDY!!!!

BUT, I still love this movie.

Happy-Go-Lucky. I was never a Mike Leigh fan.. movies about ordinary people living every day lives is not my favorite thing. And this movie was the kind that was really annoying to watch but for the last 5-10 minutes and then when it was over I couldn't help reflecting over why she was such an annoying character.. so I guess that was one of the secret purposes with the movie after all... :P

Sense and Sensibility ('08)

I have to say, you can't really replace Alan Rickman. But Dan Stevens is a *much* superior Edward to Hugh Grant. Which may have been helped by the fact that, at 3 hours, they could afford to flesh him out more. And his blue eyes. Possibly.

Crime & Punishment (1998)

I read the book last year and have been seeking out adaptations to theatre and films since. I hated the book, it took me so long to finish but I was intrigued by the theme of right and wrong and whether someone has a right to break the rules of society for a greater purpose. But I wasn't too fond of the movie.. Patrick Dempsey was playing Raskolnikov, the main character, and it just didn't seem right.. although he was very handsome and sympathetic.. and that might have been the problem. I loved Ben Kingsley... he gave a great performance but I wanted more psycological scenes between him and Dempsey.. Oh well...

^In Bruges? Really? I watched that movie when I was IN Brugge with a Belgian. It was hysterical.

"We Are Marshall"

Interesting movie. If Matthew McConaughey wasn't in it, it would've been really good. His acting was just ... awkward. :P Matthew Fox on the other hand was brilliant as ever. And I had NO idea that Ian McShane was in this!! He, of course, was the genius that he is. It was a nice reprieve from my Deadwood withdrawal to see him. Except that it was so awkward to not see him with a bottle of whisky or swearing up a storm. :duh:

I also kept thinking about when my university's football team beat Marshall for the championship.

"The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"

If there were ever a movie to emphasize the beauty of Brad Pitt, THIS is it. While I do think Brad Pitt is very attractive, I've never been one of those to think, "Ohhhh my god! He's SOOOO beautiful!" But in this movie ... YEAH. HE IS BEAUTIFUL. :swoon:

Oh. And it was a GREAT movie.

"Shakespeare In Love"

This is the only time I can ever enjoy Romeo & Juliet. :P MMMMM. Joseph Fiennes. YUM.

^So I started watching Tangled online, but it was really dark (to the point where you can hardly see anything) so I was wondering if it's supposed to be like that?

Haha probably :P We were supposed to watch it in the movie theater, but ended up seeing another one because of timing etc.

Do you know where I can watch it online where the quality isn't so bad?

Nope, sorry. I'm not very good at finding things like that. ;)

Maybe you could alter the colours on your computer or brightnss or something so it will look less dark.

Yeah, me neither, unfortunately.

I tried it on the brightest, still almost pitch black. I suppose I'll just have to watch it in the movie theater ;)
