i can't wait for it to come out!!!
i'll probably end up going to see it with my friends, but on of them still hasn't seen part 1 :-(
she's not going to see part 2 until she sees part 1 (i see the logic in that)

cna anyone tell me if Part 1 is available on DVD or something so she can see it before it comes out?

I need to get my tickets... x.x Other than that, I am going in costume. Is anyone else going in costume, and as who/what?

I am going to be my OC, Slytherin student Mara Dunly. ^^

I bought it on DVD a while back, so it's available in Norway, at the very least ;)

Yay, I got my tickets for Wednesday the 13th at 12.30 pm. They didn't have a midnight premiere in this theatre so this is the first showing. Excited. :laughbounce:

*points to sig*

I'm in official countdown mode. Also, I'll start watching the movies, one a day, starting Friday. [And I'm currently reading through the last chapters of DH.] GAH. 15 July couldn't be faster or slower than it is! [Depending on how you look at it.]

^^ Aye, JF, you did. :) There'll be plenty more where that came from.

Also, if you call yourself even the remotest HP [movie] fan then please watch this video of the red carpet at Trafalger Square. [I'm not really much of an emotional person for things that aren't books or movies or "real" life, but this had me a bit choked up.]

I'm getting into THE HYPE!!!! I'm seeing it in 11 hours and I've worked myself to a level of excitement where I can barely control myself. I'm not sure I'll get any aleep tonight... And the odd thing is that I've been doing nothing but reading a few user reviews on imdb. I didn't want to re-read all the books or see the movies because I wanted go to the movie with somewhat of an open mind - in order to see it without a huge bagage of expectations.. and still I am here.. fangirling uncontrollably! :P

I'm glad I'm not the only one going a little bonkers over all of this! Unlike you though, Eä, I've been devouring just about every review, interview, pictures, books, films, etc. as I can. I'm just terrified that this film won't meet my expectations, and I want to take advantage of the feeling I have now: pure excitement! [This is, perhaps, very close to how I felt before the last book came out. It's almost reached that fever pitch.]

I SAW IT!!!

*squeeeeeee*

I LOVED IT!!!!

*squuuuuueeeeeeeee*

BEST.MOVIE.EVER!!!!!

I really liked it. I can see all its flaws and faults but I never was a book-purist and it did meet my expectations and satisfied whatever fangirl hides in me. :P

My friend however, is more of a book-purist and weren't all happy. It wasn't epic enough for her, it wasn't dark enough, and they skipped over important, or emotional, or touching, or dramatic parts from the book.
And yes, I do agree with her that some things ended up a bit rushed and that the audience were never allowed to linger on those precious book-moments, and yes.. they might have gone for a PG-13 rating, I dunno.. but many of the previous films were so much darker without showing blood and gore.. but they just had a darker feeling that this one missed. But I liked it. I was squeeing and I was on the edge of my seat. :D

But I won't say anything spoiler-ish until more of you have seen it. So hurry up! :teehee:

I'm little wary of your friend's review, Eä. Long ago I stopped comparing the books to the films and vice versa, but I am going in with an expectation of this film being dark and bloody without being gory. I want some intensity that we haven't experienced with the other films so far. In that respect I'm a little worried. This is a battle after all, and I wanna see some people keeling over.

Almost 24 hours to go . . .

SPOILER WARNING?
While I don't refer directly to the plot in this post, some people might not want to read my general thoughts on the movie.. just yet... so.. beware of that if you choose read on. :)

Now I think of it.. after my initial excitement has faded off, it would have been nice to see a darker and more despairing movie... It was The Grand Finale after all. It would have seemed more appropriate to end in a more epic way, which this one might lack. The focus was very much on Harry and very little on all the other characters. The it was like the director didn't dare to let go and go down that dark path with war and death, hurt and grief.. he preferred to stay where he could still see the light, resulting in a movie with a lot of silly and relieving, but not so funny and not appropriate comments.

Eä, tell me, is this more dark than previous and most important, is this more dark than Half-Blood Prince?
