What I'm supposed to be reading: Guns, Germs, and Steel by Jared Diamond. It's interesting, and I do want to read it, but... What I'm actually reading: The Hobbit. Yep, all the movie hype reminded me that I can't remember most of the second half of the book, despite having read it a number of times.

The second part with Frodo, Sam and Gollum drags on for years and I find myself almost not even caring about their story. I am now reading the part with Frodo and Sam and because its very dark and sad, also the tension is high, I love it much more than Aragorn/Gilmi/Legolas part. Yeah, you're right, actually it's the Frodo/Sam part that just drags on.. I like the Aragorn/Legolas/Gimli storyline and the Merry/Pippin storyline. Does it make me a bad LotR fan if I care the least for Frodo and Sam?

I tried reading GGS last summer, but failed so miserably at it. Not that it wasn't good ... it just went on and on and on and on ... AND HUZZAH FOR THE HOBBIT! I just finished re-reading that last week. All that movie hype totally done me in. IT'S SOOOO GOOOOOD. I'm not actually reading anything at the moment. I have started a couple other books, but after finishing The Hobbit, I just want to re-read it again.

I'm currently reading several books: The Complete Sherlock Holmes (I love this!), The Silmarillion, and the Children of Hurin.
