LOL, yeah, I can't reach things on high shelves at the grocery store or at work, but should Elijah Wood ever want to kiss me, I'm the perfect height! *giggles* You know, in my fanfic, Gandalf actually SHRUNK my character Ari to proper Hobbit-height using magic, as Ari was human and Frodo is obviously a Hobbit. *blushes and hides face* I was so ridiculous while writing/coming up with that...

Originally, I wanted to have a seamstress friend make a handmade Hobbit dress for me, so I bought fabric and she took my measurements...the fabric hasn't been touched since. :P So now I'm relying on thrift stores for stuff like the skirt and shirt, though I'm not sure where I'll find a bodice unless I go to a Renaissance Faire or theatrical store or order online. Something like http://www.forestcreekrenaissance.com/R ... c1051.html would be rather perfect, wouldn't it?

I'm super jealous of you, though--you have LotR Tshirts! I've been wanting one for YEARS but can never find any without ordering online. AND you have the One Ring! *faints*

Yeah, I totally agree with you about Elijah's hair, it just looks better when it's longer. I'm also not the biggest fan of him with facial hair either--not sure why, it just doesn't look right to me.

lol! I'll just have to sit and watch him from afar, as I'm nearly 5 ft. 9. :P I once read someone's comment that Elijah was "vertically challenged" and I was like, tell me about it! xD oh well.

that bodice in the link you posted is perfect! kind of expensive for a shirt though... I'd check ebay, which is where I buy practically everything. I'm sure your costume will be lovely if you finish it. you've got plenty of time. ;)

I've never found any LotR shirts in stores either. I thought, on a whim, that maybe Hot Topic did, seeing that they have some themed stuff, but obviously I was wrong. I've just found them online (where I bought the One Ring, too xD).

I think Elijah looks okay with a little bit of facial hair, but not more than that. it just makes him look older, I think.

I say I'm vertically challenged, too! And I agree about the price of the bodice...we'll just have to wait and see, I guess. The color is perfect, though, since Hobbits do love yellow and green!

Hmm, I forsee some online shopping in my future. ;) I need LotR shirts!

Yeah, I guess when he just has a little bit of a mustache/beard thing or whatever going on, it doesn't look that bad. He had a bit more than that in the first episode of Wilfred, and it kept distracting me...XD Luckily, it was gone by the second episode.

You know what bothers me? I know that Elijah studies singing professionally, but I can hardly find any clips of him singing anywhere. The most entertaining one I've found is a super short one of him and a bunch of other LotR actors singing Jingle Bells on set. I want to hear his voice!

Meh, I think I have to go back to packing soon... *shifty eyes* The last to be packed shall be my Lord of the Rings stuff. I'm thinking an entire box devoted to Tolkien.

yeah, I saw pictures in Wilfred of him. I really should try watching it. I guess I'm just not a tv show person. :-/

I knew Elijah sang too, but funny enough I can't imagine him singing... he just doesn't seem like a person who would sing. I've watched the jingle bells clip, but that doesn't really count. :P and I've seen a bit when he and Sean and someone else from LotR start singing Yellow Submarine, but he kind of talks his way through it. xD

have you seen the music video "Dance Floor" by The Apples in Stereo? I only watched it because Elijah's in it, and because I'd liked (sort of) the song. it kept getting stuck in my head. anyway, that was a point when I wanted to fix his hair. the beginning part with him as the science guy was funny. :)

have fun packing! take your LotR stuff down at the last moment! I can't imagine having to take my posters and autographs and random pictures and clippings off the wall when I go to college. they seem to belong in my room. ;)

*totally sneaking on while mom thinks I'm sorting/packing clothes*

I get the feeling that Wilfred is one of those shows that you either love or hate. I happen to love it, but that's probably just because of Elijah. The concept is very creative and bizarre, and it DOES get really raunchy sometimes, even borderline disgusting. But if you can get through that, you should be fine, and it is funny most of the time. Elijah's character, Ryan, is such an awkward, adorable dork it's impossible not to love him.

I haven't seen either of the videos you mentioned, I'll have to look them up! I also know that Elijah and Billy Boyd both did some singing on an album that Viggo Mortenson released, but I forget the name of the CD.

I actually don't have that much LotR stuff on my walls! My parents never really let me hang posters up unless they were framed, and they tend to make fun of me if I buy too many LotR-related things...I have a RotK poster with Aragorn taped to my closet door and a Tolkien sticker with "Not all who wander are lost" written on it above my desk. One of the reasons I'm excited for college is the opportunity to fill my room with LotR stuff and not having to worry about being scolded or made fun of for it by my parents. *evil grin* Which LotR autographs do you have?

I didn't know that Viggo released a CD. doesn't Billy sing, though? he's quite good. his voice kind of reminds me of the band Muse. I ADORE his track on RotK. it's so beautiful!

my mom is the exact opposite. I just put everything up with sticky-tack (I have no idea what you call that) on whatever wall is available :P though she does think I'm a bit weird spending money on LotR memorabilia. she just couldn't comprehend why I wanted the One Ring. she said, "it's evil! in the movie, the whole point is to get rid of it!" the best reply I could come up with was "but Frodo had it!" I thought it was a pretty good excuse. ;)

right now, I only have Sean Astin's on a picture that printed on photo paper and mailed to him xD (though I finally worked up the courage to write to Elijah about a month ago. I haven't gotten anything back yet.) I have some Narnia ones and a Percy Jackson one, and one from Chris Paolini. but then I have a ton of random LotR pictures (actors and obscure photos and the like) and drawings of mine stuck up everywhere. it's like my little LotR/awesome people corridor, because there's a short hallway going into my room, and that's where I put everything. :P

According to Elijah's wikipedia page, "He also contributed his talents to fellow Lord of the Rings star Viggo Mortensen's album Pandemoniumfromamerica, singing and playing various instruments on the album." It would be interesting to listen and try to isolate Elijah's voice from Viggo and the other backup singers. And yes, Billy is an excellent singer! I think he's a classically trained tenor--I'd love to see him do some musical theatre!

I'm not sure why my parents are so paranoid about putting stuff on the walls, but they are. So I have a framed Harry Potter poster by my bed and an American Girl one (you know, the doll company) that will be staying behind, and as soon as I get to school I'm going to buy as many LotR posters as I can, because apparently they have big poster sales to decorate dorm rooms the first week of school. I'm not sure my roommate likes LotR, so she may have to deal with it. :P

"Because Frodo had it" is definitely a good enough excuse to justify buying the One Ring! And your LotR-hallway sounds awesome. You should post pictures! Supreme jealousy over having Sean Astin's autograph. Someday...

well, now I have to go buy Viggo's album. I already knew he had a lovely voice, as I gathered from his singing bits in the LotR movies. they were very beautiful. but of course I'll listen out and see if I can hear any Elijah-ness going on there. ;)

I should really try drawing him, but I'm scared it's not going to turn out well. I did Frodo all right, but Elijah's hair looks really complicated, and I'm bad at drawing hair!

check your inbox; I sent you something ;)

haha, you should get Twitter and try, Aerli ;) I myself wouldn't bother him about his email or getting on AU... I don't know, I would just rather not intrude with his privacy, and if a random stranger asked you for that, I'm not sure I would give it to them :P I'm catholic too though, and for all I know so is he. *shrugs*

I ADORE your website. it's wonderful! btw, I could help you out with your symbolism section if you wanted to. I read a book on it and have looked at it a bit. your Tolkien section is really lovely, and I voted on your poll :) nice job! I would never be able to make a website :P

did you watch the clip of Elijah that Arabella posted (the one from Oliver Twist)? if you haven't you should - now I have to see the movie. I love the part when he goes "whaaaat?" in a squeaky high voice xD

I went to this restaurant on the waterfront with my family today and there was this guy at the bar that looked EXACTLY like Elijah with sunglasses on. It was fantastic. His voice was much deeper than Elijah's though, so I couldn't really pretend it was him. I think I kind of freaked him out from all my staring at him, but oh well!

XD I can try tweeting him something. I just worry about being too overbearing, since he's had problems with a couple of girls that are really hounding him nonstop. It's pretty sad, actually. But it is worth a try, and even if he doesn't reply it's nice to know he's reading. (P.S. I'm Catholic too!)

Your website is really well done, Aerli! I like the layout and the color scheme and the banner at the top of the page--did you make it yourself?

poor Lijah. people stalk him so much. :P I agree about being overbearing though... I'm not very good with the fine line between being overbearing and being aloof.

you should have taken a picture of the guy that looked like him! lol, though secretly so you wouldn't have creeped him out even more! I've never seen an Elijah lookalike.

oh, and also about Twitter... how do you know it's really him? I'm not discrediting it or anything, but did he say that was really him on that account? I'm always a little leery of celebrities or the like using social media.

I wanted to take a picture SO bad, but my mom said if she did she would leave the table and I could find a way home by myself. <_< That did not seem ideal. XD

yeah, from what I can gather this girl on Twitter got a reply from Elijah and has become obsessed with getting another, to the point where she is repeating the same comment to him literally every hour, calling him cruel for not replying and that he's made her cry! It's terrible that she's emotionally blackmailing him like that. It's horrifying and I feel so terrible for Elijah--the poor guy!

About knowing it's him, Twitter does this thing with celebrities where there is a blue check mark next to their username that says "Verified Account." Essentially, this means that it's the real deal and not some person pretending to be the celebrity in question. I'm not sure how Twitter does it, but I trust them. Even if they didn't have that, though, Elijah posts so many pictures and personal tweets that it's pretty hard to imagine it's anything but legit. I love his profile pic on Twitter, it's adorable and his sunglasses make another appearance. ;)

oh ok. Twitter probably has the authority to do that. though I feel bad for Elijah too - is it possible to ban a person from your Twitter feed? xD

speaking of Elijah (and his amazing sunglasses), have you seen this pic on the AU site? it's of him and his sister, and his sunglasses are awesome :P

awh, and this one: Image

I'm not sure if it's possible to block someone on Twitter--thankfully, I've never had to do it! I imagine it probably is, though.

Oh, Elijah, your sunglasses are apparently the stuff of legends. XD He looks really cute in the pic with his sister! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of Hannah before. She is supposedly an extra in TTT, as a refugee in Helm's Deep, but there's too many to try and spot her out of the crowd.

As for the second picture...I'll just stare at that for a while, don't mind me. ;)

his hair looks awesome in that picture ;)

I can definitely see the resemblance of brother/sister. I love Hannah's clothes too :)
