She looked up at him "I don't know." she said softly. His eyes were in shadow from the angle the moonlight hit his face. She scrambled in her mind for something to say, but for some reason as she looked up at him she could find no words.

He nodded, wordlessly telling her he understood. His eyes closed and he spoke.
''Wake me if you need me'' and with that he fell asleep.

She nodded. He fell asleep before long, and she sat up, grabbing his cloak and pulling it around him before grabbing her blanket plus his and draping them around him, tucking in the edges against the cold breeze. She then noticed how thin even two blankets and a cloak were and removed her own cloak, draping that over him as well. She sat beside him, legs crossed Indian style and watched him as he slept. She then leaned back against the tree and waited for morning, her eyes and ears alert.

Crixus slept deeply, needing it. He had no dreams and woke some time before dawn. He felt refreshed as he opened his eyes and turned to see Eonwe, still awake.

She nodded "Morning." and grabbed his bag of food, handing it to him. She stood and looked out into the woods as she waited for him to ready himself for more walking.

He took the food, and decided against eating for the present. He could wait until later.
Standing up, he gathered his possessions and he began to walk, gesturing for her to follow him

She followed him, silently watching as they passed the trees. So far there had been no incident, and she was glad of that. Would they continue to have good luck? She hoped they would. She stumbled, but managed to keep her balance and keep walking. She caught her hair as they were walking and braided it over her shoulder, tying it off with a bit of leather she had. That felt much better, and it would stay out of her eyes. She looked at his back, and wondered what his thoughts were as they kept walking. He was so silent. She had enjoyed it yesterday when they had picked and teased each other. It lifted her heart to see him laugh and smile, it was rare for him, but he had a pleasant smile.

He continued to walk in silence. He also thought they were fortunate not to have seen any trouble. He was not entirely sure what to make of the silence between them, it seemed different after they had enjoyed themselves the day before.
Crixus doubted he had ever smiled and laughed as much as he had done yesterday. He tended to smile more than usual in her presence. His thoughts returned to the day before, to her tears, wondering what had caused them.It baffled him.

She felt bad about crying in front of him like that. She promised herself she wouldn't make it awkward for him again like that. Soon they came into a small village. "Should we stay at the tavern?" she asked quietly. It would be nice. They could both get a room, both get a bed, and both sleep well. She hoped he would say yes. She longed to sleep in a bed again. The time that she had been on his was the first time in years. She wanted that soft feeling again.

He looked at her, considering her request and nodded. As they made their way to the tavern he kept his eyes averted from all, his hood over his head.
He couldn't help but wonder if one room would be the better option. It would be safer for them both and possibly cheaper but he couldn't bring himself to ask her.

As they walked, she kept her eyes down and her hood up. Her eyes watching Crixus's feet as he walked. She felt like people were staring, but a glance proved that no one was staring. She was relieved. As they entered the Tavern, the inn keeper looked up and smiled "What can I do ya' for? A room?" she was about to say two rooms when a thought hit her. It would be less uncomfortable for then both. "Actually, do you have a single room with two beds?" the inn keeper blinked, then nodded, a grin breaking over his wrinkled face. "Follow me." they followed him through a hallway into a nice sized room with two beds in it, he nodded then left. She went to the one farthest away from the door and set her bag on the floor beside it. "This way you don't have to spend more on two rooms."

He followed the innkeeper to their room and as Eonwe spoke he nodded in agreement.
''Thank you'' he was relieved she had thought of it as well without him having to mention it. He bolted the door and dropped his bag beside his bed.
He sat down on his bed, staring at his hands, lot in his own thoughts.

She sat down on her bed, then sank down into the comfortable feel of it. her head hit the pillow and she was immediately asleep. She had even forgotten to take her cloak off and get under the covers. She didn't dream at all, and she enjoyed the peacefulness of it.

He looked up to see that she was already asleep. It had been a while since she had had a decent night's rest.
Standing up he shut the curtain's taking a quick glance outside. It was getting dark. The door was barred and the windows and curtain's closed yet he still felt a tad on edge.
He looked at her sleeping peacefully, at least one of them was relaxed. He removed his cloak and lay it above her, covering her body so that only her head peaked out.
He returned to his bed and began to drink some water, pondering what to do tomorrow. Before long he fell asleep, warm under the covers, feeling safer than he had done in a while.

In her sleep She suddenly felt something warm placed over her. She sighed and turned over in her sleep. She began to dream. Only in her dream she was not herself. Well, she was, but not doing things she would normally do. She was fighting in a a ring. She felt a terrible bloodlust run through her. She woke up with a start, sitting straight up in bed. She glanced over at Crixus who was also asleep. She knew she would not get back to sleep. Getting out of her bed, she patted over to the side of his bed, and leaned over him, watching him. Was the what he had felt when he fought? She leaned down "I'm sorry." she whispered before placing a soft kiss on his cheek, as a mother might do to a sleeping child. He had been raised to feel that. She felt horrid about it. She walked to her bed and sat against the headboard.

He slept on, not noticing Eonwe's actions. He woke up some hours later and turned to see her awake, an odd expression on her face.
