Evelyn rode into the stables on her trusty steed, Valiant. Though, these stables where, no doubt, use to seeing many wondeous beings these days, Valiant's pure white magestic form, and her shining blond hair, and obvious elvin features usually caught eyes. And they did again here. Evelyn nodded to the stable workers, but saw herself into a stall. She untacked Valiant, then brushed him down, whispering soothing words in her own language.

"I...think she's alright," Linnadhiel said to Legolas happily, grinning at Nostariel as she woke. She laughed with the others in the chamber when she spoke. She squeezed her hand.
"Seriously though, are you alright?" Linnadhiel whispered. Although her face was bright now, she still doubted her well being.

"Tired and a bit sore, but nothing...." She caught sight of the dark-haired stranger standing beside her bed; she had never seen him before, and yet he intrigued her.
"Nothing a day's rest will not cure."
"Nay, my Daughter, a few weeks, more like." Legolas knelt beside Nostariel and she made a face at his words.
"Weeks? But, Ada--" He pressed a finger to her lips shushing her.
"No buts."

Linnadhiel giggled a little at Legolas and Nostariel. It reminded her of her mother. Mother...

She shook her head. None of that now, she thought to herself sternly. She forced a smile back on her face, although it seemed a little forced.

The dark-haired elf appeared to be related to Rhavaniel in some way. They had the same coloured hair, the same calm personality. They talked to each other in a professional manner. She looked at them. Another little group of family. She suddenly felt alone again.

Morfindien raised a cocky eyebrow to his sister as the princes daughter awoke. She ignored him and made a tiny bow to Legolas- to Aragorn, she merely smiled warmly.
"We are so relieved to see you awake again," she said, no trace of her normal drawl in voice as she adressed Nostariel. She seemed truly relieved.
The duke cleared his throat, obviously embarrassed at his sister's open show of emotion "It should take two weeks for the poison to clear your system. Rest is recommendable," his hard blue eyes swept the room, lingering on the women he didn't know and finally coming to rest on Legolas "But not completely necessary. The antidote I brewed was potent."
Rhavaniel felt a grin pulling at the corners of her mouth and winked at Linnadhiel cheekily: "I'm sure," she muttered flashing Nostariel a wide smile.
Morfindien merely flicked her a stern look, but didn't comment. It had been a snap decision to check up on the prince's daughter, and pure luck that he had recognized the poison- even more so that he knew how to counter-act it. All this was nothing that he felt like sharing though, he merely waited.

Naerwen involuntarily stepped back from the group. Her stomach churned as Legolas had entered the room. Under the weight of guilt her head fell. She listened to the members of the group as they talked about Nostariel's condition. You fool! she chided herself.

Naerwen was vaguely aware of a man addressing her. She looked round to him, but was suddenly distracted. Nostariel had woken, her voice was bright, as was the smile on her face. Naerwen smiled, but it didn't last. She watched Legolas, guilt hitting her again as she could hear the concern in his voice. It is your fault that she is here! Her conscience hissed at her. Naerwen reached across to Nostariel and laid a hand upon hers. "Goheno nin," she said her voice solemn. "I should have helped you when you needed it. I shouldn't have made you wait.." Tears stung her eyes, she ignored them.

Naerwen's attention returned to the man named Morfindien. "Suilaid Morfindien. I am Naerwen Dorthonion from Rivendell. Pleasure to meet you." Her eyes met his cool stare with confidence. Her soul remained unfrozen.

Evelyn finished brushing Valant down and fiddled with her leaf broach that clasped her special cloak from Lorian. She made her way out of the stables, holding her saddle bag of supplise. She exhaled as she looked around. She loved travel, the excitment, haveing new surroundings. But she always, in her heart of hearts, longed for her home of Lothlorian.

Nostariel stared up at Naerwen in surprise.
"This was not your doing, friend. You have no reason to be sorry!" She held Naerwen's gaze, letting her words sink in before she smile slightly.
"If anyone it to blame, it should be me for not getting out of the way in time."

( Okay, time to get that god damned message out of the way. )

Linnadhiel remembered her purpose here; the message for the King. He was here in the room. It would be her only chance. She stood up, and bowed to the King.

"Your Majesty," she began, straightening up and looking him in the eye. She saw a hint of recognition in his eyes. She had come before with other messages. "I am Linnadhiel of the Woodland Realm. My purpose here is to deliver a message from King Eomer of Gondor." Moving a little closer, she continued the message. She had a piece of paper with the message on it in her bag, but it was not needed. She knew it off by heart.

"Rohan calls for minor aid. They are having trouble with some remaining Orcs around Edoras and a few surrounding towns. They ask just for 50 or 100 men to clear them out and protect the city for a month or so." She nodded in conclusion.

( Mwahaha! It's so anti-climatic! )

Nostariel had nearly dropped off again when she heard Linnadhiel's speech. Instantly she was wide awake.
"The enemy in Rohan?" Apparently everyone else thought she was napping too for they started at her words.
Linnadhiel's grave expression was enough, Nostariel knew she spoke the truth and would never doubt her for a moment. But orcs in Rohan? Again?

Evelyn walked the streets of Minas Tirith, taking it in. It was not new to her, but it had been many years since she had set foot here, and it had been reconstructed since the damages of the Battle of Palenor Feilds. She drew her hood up over her iridensent hair and pointed ears, not wishing to draw attention to herself as she made her way up to the throne room.

One of the things she loved most about being ambassador was expriencing the cultures of Middle Earth. She longed to walk the streets more, or visit the famed library of Gondor once again. But she knew her duity was to announce herself and offer her servies. When she reached the throne room, she told one of the gaurds, "I am Evelyn, ambassidor from Lothlorian - i have come to offer my help to Gondor."

The gaurd nodded eagerly. "I shall inform the king at once, madam!"

Linnadhiel turned to Nostariel. "I know, I was surprised too. I barely avoided getting killed by a hoard of them just after I left Edoras." She shook her head. "They mostly have the situation under control...or so the King keeps saying. There is many of the beasts though."

She turned back to the King, "If I may, Your Majesty, I would recommend that you sent more men than the King asks for. Not meaning to offend him, but I believe his judgement is off this time around."

She looked back to Nostariel, who was starting to sit up. She rushed back over to her side. "Lie down, you silly thing. Didn't you hear what your father said?" she laughed, pushing her down gently by the shoulders.

"But...." Nostariel started to protest as Linnadhiel gently pressed her back down, but she trailed off as black spots encroached on her vision.
"I need to be up." She called weakly. She had been wounded before many times, but she still had yet to learn patience where healing was concerned. Legolas grinned at Linnadhiel before returning his gaze to his daughter.
"We will leave you now that you may rest." Leanning over he kissed Nostariel on her forehead.
"Esteë, Nostariel." He whispered in her ear and then he stood and left the room.

Morfindien stiffened slightly as Legolas left, brushing himself down. His displeasure was obvious. He had healed the prince's daughter and had not received his due. He hung back as King Aragorn motioned him to follow, fixing the mortal with a warning look "We must await Ruscien's arrival, before we decide on anything."
His voice was poison as his gaze swept around the room again, coming to a rest on Naerwen. The elf had returned his hard gaze with one of her own and made caught his attention.

Rhavaniel felt her heart drop as her brother mentioned Ruscien, whose body was no doubt lost to the world. If the orcs had not found and defiled it, no doubt wolves or wild dogs would have take their fill by now. Her gaze slid past the duke and rested on Aragorn, an unspoken plea in her eyes.

The king laid a hand on the elf's shoulder "No doubt a lover's spat," he said gently, drawing the elf to the door "Come, let us away."
Morfindien rounded on the king with anger flashing about his face. It seemed as if he were about to raise a hand to Isildur's heir, but the ranger of old held his place and his polite smile. The elf turned on the women in the room "We shall have to have a little conversation later then. I am a man short- Rhan," he glared at his sister "I expect a full explanation."

"Come," Aragorn said again. He had grown to know the prickly elf in his younger years, meeting him around the same time he had met Legolas. As with the King of Mirkwood, he knew that Morfindien's temper was all bark and no bite: "Leave the ladies to themselves for a while."

Naerwen composed herself. Never before had she been so bold as to show so much emotion. Your companions at Osgiliath need me! I need to pass on my findings! She hissed at herself.

Naerwen bid Nostariel and Linnadhiel farewell before she followed the others out the door. Naerwen fell into a stride with Aragorn. "My lord Aragorn, I bring news from Osgiliath. I am Naerwen Dorthonion of Rivendell. I came to you a long time ago...in search of guidance. I was posted in Osgiliath. My lord I must stress Osgiliath is in danger. I fear it may be over taken.." Naerwen gazed at Aragorn as she walked. Worry was obvious in her eyes.

Linnadhiel smiled at Legolas as he left. She heard someone say Ruscien's name. Ruscien. Nostariel's love. The one she had killed. Guilt overcame her. She squeezed her eyes shut to prevent the tears from flowing, remembering Nostariel grieving over his dead body. She held back a sob, gulping it down quietly.


She nodded to Naerwen and Rhavaniel's...relation as he walked out with Aragorn, who was cool as ever. She guessed that they were off to make a decision about the needs of Rohan. She herself knew it true that Eomer overestimated his own people. Although the Rohirrim were brave and strong warriors, they were outdone by numbers. Eomer, however, wasn't as stubborn as his father. He probably wouldn't mind if Aragorn nudged him a little by sending more troops than he asked for.
