"Rescue?" she glanced up with a curious half grin "Not many men would wish to be rescued from a gaggle of gorgeous ladies." she smirked "Alright, sir, how may I be of assistance?" she honestly didn't know how to deter a group of drooling women.

Thoril thought for a moment. "Forgive me," he uttered silently as he hooked Callie's arm through his own. He walked over to the inn and straight inside.

She couldn't help but jump in surprise, but soon she started laughing silently at the look on the women's faces. Once inside she laughed "I see, it seemed to work." she flashed him a smiled before reclaiming her arm.

"Yes, but I fear I have created you some enemies.." He glanced back at the gaggle of women. They watched the pair, with narrowed eyes. Thoril shook his head, tutting. "It takes more than a pretty face to sway me." He crossed over to the bar and ordered some food and a glass of wine.

She too glanced at the women, who currently looked ready to attack her. Her hair stood on end and she scrambled to safety on the bar stool next to him. "What does it take to sway you?" she asked curiously as she too ordered some red wine. She was curious, it surprised her that he didn't already have a lady friend.

Thoril smiled, glancing at her. "Well a strong character, nice personality, pride in her morals. I look for someone who can make me laugh. That sort of thing. Good looks is merely an added bonus," he chuckled. "What makes a man suitable in your eyes?"

She smiled at his answer. He was an honorable man. She was surprised at his next question. "The same. If I were looking I would look for a respectable man who carries honor within himself, not just boasting of it, should he do that he has none. Humbleness is a good trait, loyalty, honesty. I agree with the laughter, a man who can make me laugh and truly enjoy myself would be most welcome." she sipped at her wine, and felt the women move closer. "Maybe, perhaps, I should go...I fear my blood will be shed if I stay much longer..." she glanced behind her.

"Oh don't leave me just yet, love." He stressed, flashing a stern look at the women. Thoril threw caution to the wind and along with it, his arm around Callie's shoulder. He leaned in close. "Ignore them. They are harmless," he whispered.

She squeaked in surprise and blinked her now wide brown eyes as she turned to look at him. "O...okay?" she swallowed. She was not use to this. But the ploy worked, the women grumbled and left the room. "Thank you." she whispered, still looking at him.


(aaaaaaawwwwww! *pokes Callie*)

Thoril nuzzled his head against hers lightly. "My pleasure, entirely." His arm remained around her shoulders. He felt strange, but a good strange. He held her gaze, smiling warmly.

She swallowed again, wondering why he kept his arm around her, let alone nuzzled his head against hers. She blushed deeply. "Uh...I...hi?" was all she could think to say as she still met his gaze. Not that she minded, she kind of liked the feel of his arm around her.

Thoril cleared his throat awkwardly. A small blush rose in his cheeks. "Sorry," he said, biting his lip. Thoril straightened and continued eating his dinner. He stole glances at Callie, nervously. There was turmoil in his head. He had never been this way before. What was this feeling? He just couldn't understand it at all.

She blinked "Sorry?" she echoed softly. He shouldn't be sorry especially when she liked it. Liked it? She had indeed liked it...she watched her wine in her mug, as though it might explain why she had liked it. She sipped it again before keeping her eyes on the red liquid, "I liked it..." she whispered, the pointed tips of her ears turning pink.

"You...you did?" Thoril asked in a small voice, looking round at her. He too had glanced at his wine. It was true he had one or two ales, but that was not enough to cloud his judgement. He accepted they had only know eachother for the day, so any feelings of love were pure infatuation. He did like her though, he did like the feeling of having her in his arms. "I liked it too," he finally said, offering a small, shy, smile.

She blinked her eyes three times, the corners of her mouth tilting up up in a small smile before she looked shyly away. She drank the rest of of wine. "I...I should get to bed." she smiled again, her blush still present as she slid of the stool and again gathered her hair over her shoulder. "Thank you, for the wonderful company." she dipped her head and slipped up the stairs.

"Perhaps I shall see you in the morning. Sweet dreams, Miss Callie," he bowed his head to her and watched as she disappeared up to her bedroom. Thoril pulled a pouch from his pocket and paid the bartender for their food and drinks and also paid for a room for the night.
