Andi: I just started my first year of college, and I'm having a terrible time adjusting. Today's my brother's birthday, so it was especially hard not being home. I got called in to work (I work in the ticket office at the athletic center at the college) unexpectedly, and was then told that I'm working 1-8 on Friday and 9 AM to 8 PM Saturday! Which is ridiculous because working 18 hours in two days is...well, ridiculous to ask a freshman who doesn't know what she's doing, plus I was planning on going home this weekend. It looks like I may have to quit my job because it just might be too much, which my parents say is fine, but I worry about money far more than I should. And then I had a horrible 105 minutes of math and was told I need to re-do my last assignment and the teacher won't tell me what I did wrong. Im also dealing with a roommate who, in my sheltered mind, parties far too much and stays out way too late...this should have probably been done in the rant thread, but anyway, that's what's going on with me today. thanks for listening, everyone.

awh Arabella! hugs! I hope things look up for you soon. it will work out once you get further into college, I believe. Start small and see how much you can accomplish, and once you feel comfortable with that, keep going. it will get better, I promise!
