LOL, Elijah is shiny!

Yeah, I love how honest he is and how he admits that the shoot wasn't perfect all of the time. He's so down-to-earth!

YES, HOBBIT IN SUNGLASSES! Though I must say, I prefer the shot of them in their normal clothes choreographing the fight scene on Weathertop, it always makes me giggle to see them in jeans or whatever wielding swords. XD

I know, they're so cute when they play with swords! this would be one of the earliest shots of him messing with swords:

my brother made an interesting comment at the end of RotK (this is more Frodo-related, but what's Frodo-related is also Elijah-related). he said, "you know, Frodo tears up and cries at every conceivable point in time throughout all three movies. then he goes and leaves his three best friends, knowing he'll never come back to middle earth, and he doesn't shed a drop!" I admit I see his point xD thought it was funny though.

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! *faints* He looks so happy there! That made my night!

Yeah, I've noticed that too. I've always thought it was because Frodo knew it was what he had to do, and he wanted to be strong for his friends since he was leaving them...(P.S. What is it about brothers making weird comments while watching LotR? Mine does that too, even though he's a fan. Not nearly as obsessive as I am, but he does like the movies.)

that was what I thought - that if he started crying, he might break down and decide not to go at all.

lol, I don't know, but sometimes I have to downright tell my brother to shut up while we watch, or he ruins the most epic or most heartfelt scenes! for example... on Mount Doom, Sam's holding Frodo and talking about the Shire. my brother's like, "man, that's kind of awkward! and don't you think Frodo is going crosseyed?" *rolls eyes* it's usually a better bet if I watch them by myself.

Yeah, my brother once said "I bring word from Rivendell...I have no neck" when Haldir came on screen, called Legolas 'Will Turner' and 'Captain Obvious' throughout the whole movie, and screamed "TEAM GIMLI" during Pelennor Fields. All on separate occasions. :P And since I showed him the 'Condensed" scripts that we have in the humor section of the A-U website (not the forum), he insisted on quoting that during various scenes of the movies.

And, of course, he teases me RELENTLESSLY whenever Frodo's onscreen. :P

um yeah, so does my brother. therefore, poor Frodo is the most picked on of the bunch.
that's hilarious about the Captain Obvious thing, because I thought my brother might have trademarked that xD he always puts on a serious pondering face and goes, "A DIVERSION......" about thirty seconds before Legolas' infamous line. :P he also enjoys poking fun at the Elves, especially Elrond, and throughout the entire movie(s) gives tips to every character on how to improve their acting, expressions, hair, clothes, etc. *facepalm* good to know I'm not alone.

Arabella, as someone about to go into thier finals, who dosen't like partying, and spent her first year with flatmates who got in at 6 3 in the morning and then partied till 6, and also enjoyed spikeing my non-alcoholic drinks - I completly sympathise.

So my advice is - invest in some really good earplugs, they won't get rid of all sound but will help. Also if you can adjust to sleeping in an eyemask that will help block out any light from when they come in and turn on the light. If the situation becomes unbearable - move rooms. It may feel like your makeing a fuss and will be judged - but your doing whats best for you which is more important as is your peace of mind.
On the other hand - go out drinking a bit and have fun too. Getting the right balance is important but don't work yourself to death.
On the subject of a job - speak to your colledge about how many hours per week is advisable for you to work. Again, i comepltly understand about the mouney issue belive me - but your education comes first. there's no point spending that much mouney on school if your spending all your time working to try and pay it off. Then speak to your employer and explain this too them. if they say thats not acceptable - you can always get another job with less demanding hours. Don't be afraid to say no! You come first. Not them.
And lastly - if you feel homesick and want to go home. Go home for the weekend. Its allowed :). We all need some time to see people. If its a long way then if you say its just 2 weekends a semester then you'll be fine.

Finally - it DOES get better. I now live with really lovely people, I have a good job that lets me earn mouney without ruining my school work. I have a social life and i get good marks. At first its always terrifying, but it gets easier. I promise you; and if it gets too bad - look at a Lija poster :D

Alanna, thankyou - but I won't take a *forgotten the word for the little side avatar head shot things* as I rather like the one i'v got as it co-ordinates with the new skin :)

ok Andi :) I agree, it does go beautifully with the new green skin. I wish I had found this forum earlier, and gotten to see how it looked before the green skin and the revival. just because I'm curious. :)

I love these pics of Elijah from this year's Lollapalooze festival *jealous*:

It was blue. Arwen the webmissy had to take a long absance and it started in winter, we used to change the skin every season so it was dark blue with pictures of arwen in the snow. Very pretty but its so nice to have the green back again :).

I changed the site background...and then promptly changed it back. It's very pretty, but me in my Hobbity ways prefered the summery green of the current layout. Maybe when it gets colder I'll switch to the blue.

I love that site, Alanna! I check it quite frequently. ^_^
