Hello erethor, welcome to the forum. Wow, that was a very very detailed introduction - I liked it very much. I only learned about LotR this summer - yes, of course I knew that the movies were in theatres two years ago - but I was not interested in it because I thought: Fantasy stuff...boring...
Then, last summer, i saw the books in the library and thought: Let´s look, perhaps they´re good... I read the first sentences and that was it...I read the three books in about two weeks, then watched the movie and since then I am totally in love with LotR and the other Tolkien works. I read the Silmarillion at the moment and all I can say is that Tolkien was genius. He´s my favourite autor and I think his books are the best ever written!

Oh, I just wanted to welcome you and now I wrote the whole story of my Tolkien-madness...sorry

I am a boy, yes it's true I skipped all the personal details when I registered, but I was in a hurry(I'll fix that up now perhaps). I am glad that my uber-long speech was welcomed, otherwise I'd be discouraged to write something that long on here again....(don't boycott my messages because of that now ) And to the last fellow I say, WOW! Only this summer; you managed to read all three in two weeks! Not too mention you have 700 posts.

Er, I'd like to add a final thing before I end this post: please refrain from calling me a noob. I find it discriminating, because it makes me sound like I'm some 'basic movie knowledge' person. Just a small request, as I have seen quite a few calling others noobs(I understand it means noob to the site, and by no means does it afflict me in some negative way)

Thanks to whoever said I was cool. And don't worry, I can be crazy and random at times, however I'd like to make a good first impression, get myself known and know people myself before I can relax.

Of course we won't call you a noob!! We respect everyone's wishes, and if you do not wish to be called that then we won't. Although, I haven't actually seen anyone ssay that, usually we just say newbie, but if don't wish us to call you that either than of course we won't!

I'm not sure if I properly introduced myself...

I'm Larael (everyone calls me by that name and it's much shorter to type), I am 15, and I live in Bristol, England. It's raining right now... (sorry, random thought)...

Suliad. i also love and study tolkien's work. But I also love the movies and the merchandise that goes with the movie. I am a collector.
But I read the books long before the movies ever came out. Tolkien had a great and beautiful world tat he created.
