Markus listened to the uncertain tone in Luna's voice. "Part of knowing where you are going is knowing where you are coming from. I have long pondered whether being oblivious was a good thing. I have come to decide that it is not. How can you prepare yourself for the future when you do not know the past? How can you not know who you truely are without knowing who you were?" Markus know seemed to be just talking to himself as he paced the length of Luna's chamber.

Luna watched him, knowing his words were true, yet she wondered at his actions, and how he was saying it. "you are right," she said quietly. "I would rather know where I come from, and would rather have a home, than wander the wilds with no idea."

"Perhaps we should leave you to sleep? I can only imagine what is running through your mind right now. It has been a long day, perhaps you will feel better after a good nights rest." He smiled to her reassuringly.

She nodded. "Perhaps." she looked at him. "Thank you, for being here, both of you." she said quietly.

Sirel smiled faintly, giving Luna a sideways hug. "Good night, Luna. Sleep well." She turned to leave and turned back. "Oh, and I don't see how we could not be here. Like I said, that's what friends do." She stepped silently out of the room.

She watched her and markus leave, then shuddered and buried her face into her hands. Who was she kidding? She couldn't sleep...she laid down, and closed her eyes.

Markus departed Luna's room silently. Something told him that she would not sleep this night, but he also knew it would be good for her to sift through her feelings alone. Markus could not sleep either. The excitement of being home still burned through his body. He decided to take a walk through the trees in silent reverie.

She tossed, and turned, then got up. She paced her room, then sat down again. She could go on with her life. Perhaps she had even found a home. She took a deep breath, then smiled. What happened was in the past. She left her chamber to go out on the porch.

Sirel walked slowly to her flet, her mind heavy with thought. Once at her quarters, she slumped into a chair near her bed and pondered the day's events. It would take a long time for things to go back to normal, if they ever did at all.

Markus climbed up into the tree tops. His mind flashed back to when he done this as a child. He had a scar running down the back of his right leg, where he had lost his footing. It had taken him a long time to return to the tree tops after that. Markus snickered softly at his memories. His eyes peered down at the forest floor below him, watching as his kin bustled beneath him. Voices soon caught his attention. He could recognise Haldir's voice, it was more tense that it had been earlier.

"Dol Guldur is massing. They seem to be preparing for something. We should be doing the same. One cannot be too careful..." Haldir looked around, almost nervously. "I warned that chasing Sauron from his fortress would be no good. He has many minions at his service.." he hissed, his nose wrinkling in disgust.

"Is it one of the nine?" another voice asked.

"We think so. Our scouts have not been able to gather much. We have lost many in our attempts to find out what breeds behind those walls. I can smell a war coming on..."

The two elves walked on, heading in the direction of Lady Galadriel's chamber. Markus frowned deeply. It was clear he had missed much in his captivity.

Luna walked out into the trees, leaving the porch behind. Peace was hers. She met several elves, all of them quite nice. She walked to the river, and sat on a rock near it, enjoying the water as it ran by.

Sirel was half asleep in the chair she was sitting in when a knock came from the door. She jumped, startled, then strode to the door.

Markus walked along the tree canopy, peering down at the ground, watching, but unseeing. He breathed a sigh of relief. Relief to be home and safe. Was he really safe? He wondered, remembering the conversation he did not mean to overhear. He shook his head, the elves were well trained and well prepared. Would anyone really be so dim and attack them? Markus rolled his eyes, knowing full well what power could do to a mans mind. It could make him feel unbreakable. With another sigh he dropped down to the ground and wandered along to his sisters chambers. Perhaps she could enlighten him to the troubles.

Luna didn't know what to do as she sat. She guessed she could just think about things...her eyes closed and she hummed a small melody, feeling almost content.

On his route to Maralyn's chambers, he caught sight of a figure sitting in the trees. "Luna?" He asked, louder than he had intended. He tilted his head, his brows raising curiously. He looked around wondering where Sirel was. She was rarely far from Luna. Markus was sure Sirel felt just as protective over Luna as he did.

Her head snapped up. "Yes? Oh...Hello, Markus." she smiled. "I decided to take a walk. It's lovely out." her eyes strayed back to the water, then to him. "Streams seem so relaxing."
