Quite an interesting Legolas banner - When the sun shines! Great work in general.

Wow. I went through this whole thread, and it is amazing seeing how much you improve with each new graphic or banner. LOL. I might have to kidnap your talent. Lock it away in a tower, until it teaches me all its secrets. Honestly though, I really do wish I had your graphics talent. It would make my novel writing much easier, because they would have pretty covers that captured people's imagination before reading them. That Erebor graphic is amazing. There is so much going on, but it isn't distracting. All of it flows beautifully. Now, the gif of Bilbo's door opening, I watched that for five minutes.

Thank you Erin I did exactly the same when I first found the gif, then I was like-I need that! It took ages to get it to work with photo bucket as it always used to be too big a file, but in glad it does now. It's not really talent, just lots of practice, I realised digging through the old ones I've been making graphics for 10 years now (cause I have no life) so I've had a lot of it! And I guess my biggest advice would be to try new things. Fiddle with your layer effects and adjustments and see what happens. I for one have never understood curves in ps so I've been playing with them recently to mixed effects. Yeah and if you ever worry you don't have talent look at my ugly banners from years ago- I clearly had no clue what I was doing Also there's lots of good books with ugly covers- I wouldn't worry too much I'm sure the content is great!

Practise and experience you say? Well, I'm kidnapping that too! XD
I wish I could show you the first banner I made. It was awful. I made it about 4 or 5 years ago. I deleted it from my photobucket, and buried the file away on a memory stick.

Hahah- in that case you'll be kidnapping a lot of messing about cause that's all it is really. But if you ever need any advice don't hesitate to PM me. My first one was awful, as you can see, and the second was worse!. I spent a lot of time blindly following random tutorials. But I think it's always good to look back, at your old work, even if it's not the first I think you'll be surprised at how good you are now in comparison.

Those Captain America banners are awesome! They are so crisp and fresh, and they have that little glow that immediately catches the eye while scrolling through a page And I've said it before but might as well say it again: I really love your sigset! The colours are so bright, and the contrast between the warmer Havens and the cooler forest is perfect.

Aww thank you Lhun! Cap was such a difficult subject to work with... Not Haha I set out to make a banner of Galadriel's warning poem to Legolas. The text looked cluttered in the end, but I can't bring myself to complain about the result I'm really pleased you noticed the contrast too, I wanted the havens to look really dreamy

I second that from Lhunardaien. Good stuff! I especially love the Bard banner as well. He is my favorite character for the most part. I also love the throin banner!

I could have sworn I had your graphics talent tied up pretty good in my closet. (It is my hostage, until it shares all its secrets with me! ) Well it will never escape again! *ties Lembas's talent up with extra strong rope.* LOL, seriously, I'm always amazed by everything you make. I really like the last one, that is half vibrant, half gray. The rest is stunning, of course.
