Is anyone planning on costuming for the premiere? For that matter, is anyone not planning on going to the midnight release?
If you're going in costume, what will you go as? Or as whom? How elaborate will you make your costume?

I'd love to go as a lady of Rohan. I'm trying to convince my boyfriend to let me dress him up as an Elf because he's tall, lean, fair-faced and has long blonde hair down to the middle of his back (perfect Elf profile amirite?) but he's refusing because it's too "girly". He may let me dress him up as a man of Rohan though, we'll see.

Hahaha. You could costume him as Bard or another man from Lake-town...
I myself don't look much like an Elf, Dwarf, or Hobbit, so I am pretty much limited to going as a Man, or layering on prosthetics which I can't afford and going as an Orc or Troll or something. So, if I go in costume, it will be as a man of Lake-town or Dale.

True, he's got a mandolin and would look spiffy dressed as a bard and walking around with that. Perhaps...

Hahaha, I was referring to Bard the Bowman, but going as a bard would also be pretty cool, and it's not irrelevant courtesy of such things as Lord of the Rings Online. ^_^

Ahhh I should have figured. I guess I just didn't clue in cuz I didn't picture him with long blond hair , since they're portraying him in the movie with short dark hair...

Bard will have short, dark hair in the film? That could be exciting....maybe I will adapt this costume for myself. ^_^ Man+short hair+dark hair=me. Throw in some appropriate costuming and a bow....

Well costumes are my hobby, so... I'm debating. I'd LOVE to go as a lady hobbit. Wiith a blue dress rather like Rosie Cotton's party dress. But we'll see if I'd embarrass my friend's too much.

My parents aren't letting me go to the midnight premier, but I will be going as soon as possible the next day. Regarding costumes, I'm planning on going as a hobbit. Debating whether to go in a hobbity dress, or go all Bilbo-y.

I have pointed ears. I think that's all that matters.

I'll be going at midnight, definitely. (Whether I have anyone to go with, well...who knows.) But I made myself an "Andy's Flying Serkis" shirt (based off the 8th video blog) that I'll be wearing because Andy Serkis is awesome.
