Faramir's eyes widened slightly, before closing to her kiss. His heart thundered in his chest. He hoped she would not hear it. This was certainly not what he thought would happen. He rather expected a slap to the cheek and to spend the rest of the night apologising for his rash actions. Shut up! He thought inwardly, silencing his thoughts. You have the most beautiful, most intelligent woman in the world kissing you. Stop over analyzing it! Faramir's arms came out from behind his back, the maps long forgotten. They wound themselves around Lona gently, tenderly and drew her close to him.

Caran tore her eyes from the sky towards Boromir. "Oh?" She asked, turning onto her stomach, to face him. "And what problem would that be?" She tilted her head, trying to read the expression in his eyes. She could feel herself swimming in his deep eyes. He was truly wonderful. She cleared her throat nervously and forced herself to pay attention to his words. His velvet soft words. She sighed faintly, a smile tugging at her lips.

Boromir took a deep breath. "You see...there's this woman. I am extremely attracted to her. But I don't know how she feels about me." he picked at some grass, watching her carefully.

Lona's heart fluttered, and her skin instanty heated. oh gods... she thought. She could lose herself...she gasped and pulled away suddenly. "Gods! I-I'm sorry...I...I'm sorry..."

Faramir sat up on his arms. "No. Please. Do not apologise. You can only apologise if you did not want that to happen. If you were to say that it would be a lie. No one kisses like that without meaning it. I know I certainly don't. Please don't apologise." He sat up and looked to her, offering her his most warm and genuine smile.

Caran played with some grass between her fingers, her eyes remaining on his. "Have you thought about asking this woman?" Her eyes fell to her hands. "I am sure her answer will be of no surprise. She has probably already began falling for you. Who wouldn't?" She flashed her eyes up to his.

Boromir shrugged. "Usually women tell me." he folded his hands together and watched her still, his expression unchanging.

Lona's chest heaved as she faught for air. "b-but...that...we..." she rubbed her temple, staring at him, rendered completely speechless and left without any intelligent thoughts at all.

Caran sat up, tucking her legs underneath her. "Well," she sighed faintly. "I do not know of this woman. What I do know..." she looked at him, still unable to read his expression. "I know that I certainly like you. I find myself more attracted to you with each minute that passes..." she lowered her head, her cheeks burning.

Faramir stood and sidled over to Lona. "Shhh," he whispered softly, capturing her lips again. He smiled as he kissed her, one hand finding its way into her hair, the other resting on the base of her back.

Boromir's lips curved into a slow, easy smile. Without words, he reached out and grasped her wrist, pulling her towards him swiftly. His lips were on hers in the next second as one of his arms went around her waist and pulled her even closer.

Lona gasped. Her hands came up to grasp the front of his cloak. She could allow herself this...just once. Her lips softened under his, and she stepped closer to him.

Caran gasped slightly, falling into Boromir's arms. It took her second to register what was happening. Her mind went into overdrive. Her heart was hammering in her chest as she kissed him back. Her arms folded around him. I must be dreaming... was all she could think.

Faramir grinned broadly as he lifted Lona into his arms. He kissed her lips, her cheeks, her neck. No matter what, he just could not get enough of her. Her scent was intoxicating. Her smile so warming he was hot under the collar. Her touch so soft and gentle. His back shuddered slightly as he sat down with her, caressing her hair.

Boromir tugged her closer as he deepened his kiss. He cursed himself silently in his mind, but he didn't care at the moment. He tangled his hands in her hair.

Her hands slipped up around his neck. What was she doing? And why? She pulled away, breathing heavily. She rested her forehead against his. "What's happening, Faramir?" she whispered, keeping her eyes closed as she breathed in his scent.

Caran sighed softly as she kissed him deeply. Her hands clutched the lapel of his jacket. Her legs wound around his waist. Her mind began screaming at her. She ignored it, she just knew she wanted to be close to him.

"I think," Faramir stopped to gather his breath. "I think, my sweet Lona, that I am falling for you." He reached up and stroked her cheek gently.

Her broke the kiss for a moment and stared at her. He brushed his fingers down her jaw. "Caran...what are you doing to me?" he whispered.

"You..are?" she looked at him in disbelief. "But I am a soldier. And undersiable to men...a fighter.." she shook her head. "I don't understand.."

Caran rested her head against his shoulder. "Nothing bad I hope," she sighed. "What are we doing Boromir?" She asked quietly. Whatever was going on was sure to not be accepted in Gondor. He outranked her by miles. She was sure his father would not be pleased.

"You are desirable to me," he whispered softly to her. "I am a soldier too. I have strawberry blonde hair. None of that matters. I really like you Lona." He smiled warmly. "I sense that you feel the same."

"Nothing bad at all. In fact, I hope it continues." he kissed her again. "We're falling in love, is what we're doing." he wrapped his arms around her, enjoying the feel of this gorgeous woman so close to him.

"I do." she turned red. "I mean! We've only known each other for, what, a day?" she caressed his cheek. and yet, I still do. she realized.

"Is that what this is?" She asked faintly, capturing his lips tenderly. She drew back and gazed into his eyes. She knew why she was falling for him. What woman wouldn't? He was strong, kind, brave , gentle, funny and not to mention unbelievably handsome. She wondered what sparked his attraction. Now that was something unheard of. Men passed her by. She was just another plain looking girl with no extraordinary skills. Her hand tangled in his hair and followed the line of his jaw softly.

"Time does not matter." He answered staring into her eyes, almost losing himself. He kissed her lips softly. "It could be one day or one hundred days. I would still be falling you. Don't you see? We were meant to be." His hand cradled her chin as he drew her in for another kiss.

Boromir sighed, lost under her tender touch and soft kisses. He wanted to beg her not to stop, wanted to be able to stop time so the moment and might would last as long as they wanted. He softly ran a hand down her back while his other remained gently laying on the soft curve of her hip. He never wanted to be parted from her.

Lona's heart rate picked up. How she longed for this, wanted this beyond anything else...but her mind was begging her to stop. Stop it before it went too far, before things couldn't be undone. To stop because the threat of war could end up taking either or both their lives. She knew she loved him. And it terrified her. "Faramir!" she broke the kiss and exclaimed in a breathless whisper that was full of regret.
