^I can only hope you're right. As I said, I pretty much have to wait til it comes out to be sure.

Tough, streetwise Eponine right there. "He was never mine to lose...we were both young when I first saw you!"

She's a pretty good singer and songwriter, but for country music. Not for the best musical in the history of musicals.

Newsflash peeps... Taylor Swift isn't Eponine.

http://www.imdb.com/news/ni21979386/

I know her from a musical talent TV show from a few years ago when Andrew Lloyd Webber was looking for a Nancy to star in Oliver!

Lucky, lucky, lucky.

Oh, she was in the 25th Anniversary Concert! I thought she was okay--her performance had the potential to be great, but she lacked chemistry with Nick Jonas as Marius, so...anyway, since she's played the role in the West End, though, I'm hopeful!

Eh, not bad. Not good, but not bad. Anne Hathaway sang nicely, I'll give her that. Couldn't get much grasp on the acting, but I expected the look to be much darker and grittier.

Did anyone else get chills when they saw the barricade?

Gotta say, totally excited that Hugh Jackman's getting a chance to shine as a singer as well as an actor. (I'll admit, I love les mis, but I'm not a die hard fan.) I'm kinda with everyone on the mixed feeling's about Anne Hathaway. I was really impressed with the girl playing Eponine on the 25th anniversary special so I'm excited that she's cast. Mixed feelings on Russell Crowe and Javert. He's probably my favorite character and after seeing people like Geoffrey Rush and Norm Lewis I dunno... I can't wait to see the barricade though. That's one point I think a movie has the potential to make really powerful.

I'm not the most die hard fan of this show, it's one of those depressing musicals that I can't always listen to. But I am actually really looking forward to it now after seeing the trailer.

I think Anne Hathaway is making "I Dreamed A Dream" her own. The big loud, almost shouty versions would look so out of place on film, and she is telling the audience far more about what she is feeling than other versions I've heard. And I think it's good that the film makers have made that decision that it should be sung with feeling and emotion.

Good idea to use that as the main focus of the trailer, as it brings all the different elements together.

I'm curious as to how this will change the flow of the movie, since they placed it after she gets her hair cut. It works for the song, she's fallen further into despair, but how will they work with it?
